Usually i don't write reviews but this time i had to cause all of the bad ones that im reading. I think it's not fair towards staff and management, cause you can see they are doing a hard work. Yes, the hotel and rooms are out of date, but they maintaining it very good. The room was cleaned every day with new towels always, all the staff were super friendly and the food was perfect. Maybe the schedule for meals should be more flexible but on other hand, there wasn't a line on the entrance or when you looking for table which is quite common in other hotels. They gave us a late checkout, access to lagguage room and showers for free, which was super cool cause we had a flight in the evening, so we seize the last day perfectly.

Absolutely loved the hotel. especially the roof top. What great views. The food was great could of done with more variety of meat but definitely value for the money. The card system for drinks I didn't like. It makes it complicated and hard to manage which card is for your room, food, or drinks, but you do get the hang of it. Most staff were welcomjg however there were a few that could of done with avit of light hearted humour. Other then that, enjoyed my stay.

Some of the rooms have great views but some rooms have a less-great views. When I stayed in my room their were ants in the bathroom, under and next to the bed. Some of the food is good and some not-so-good but a lot of stuff to choose from. The outdoor pool is decent and cold which gives you a cool down as Spain is very warm. What I don't like is that I stayed with 2 friends so 3 people in total leading in which I booked a 3 people room but received 2 beds. Additionally, the cleaning members just unlock the door and clean the room whenever they like it. They once came in and I were laying down when they started cleaning the room and asked me something in Spanish when I don't speak it and then started making facial expressions in a not-so-kind matter. But overall alright hotel.

Good service at the customer desk with fairly comfortable beds. JFYI you have to pay a fee to use the safe. I didn't use any of the facilities so haven't included them in my overall score. The reason why it's a 2/5 is down the rooms and the lack of soundproofing. You can hear someone coughing 3 doors down, and TVs and music of nearby rooms being played late into the night. I also had the fortune of being nextdoor to a couple who I can only assume were on their honeymoon. From what I heard, it sounded like they were having a great night every night. I, however, wasn't. And ended up not getting much sleep each night.

Loved the variety of food, restaurant staff are friendly and very efficient, the housekeeping do a great job too. Location is near shops and only about 8 mins away from the beach and train station if you want to visit Barcelona for a day, it was only 11 euros pp for a return. Only negatives are the noise levels as there is no sound proofing and we could hear all conversations and noises in the rooms next to us. There were also too many cards to carry about for all inclusive and it wasn’t explained to us what they were all for.

Stayed in this hotel for a week 8-15 October. The rooms were very spacious with two double beds, two wardrobes, dressing table and a large bathroom with bath and shower. Although the furniture was a bit dated it was more than adequate for a weeks holiday. The maid service was excellent, towels, shower gel and shampoo were replaced everyday. We had a nice balcony overlooking the pool. The dinning room was large and served very well presented food although at times it was too cold for me. There was plenty of selection to suit everyone. The dinning room staff were very efficient and quick and clearing the tables. It's not far from the beach and there is a small town with a beautiful church, souvenir shops, restaurants, cafes and bars without being over busy. You can easy catch the train to Barcelona for the day for £11 euros return. I would definitely come back to this hotel.

Great hotel with amazing services. It's a bit outdated but services are very good. They run a mini club for families with kids too. If your child is under 8 then you'll have to attend the club with them but over 8 years old can attend on their on so it gives you a bit of free time to maybe enjoy the spa and the rooftop bar and jacuzzi as they're 18+ areas🤭.The food is so tasty, fresh and varied, catering for different preferencies from fish to seafood, pork, beef chicken and vegetarian too. The bar staff is very friendly and funny and in the evening there are different shows. The cleanliness was spot on too. If you're going all inclusive then you'll get 3 cards: the blue one holds your picture and details and you have to present it every time you visit the restaurant and bar, and 2 green ones representing the drinking glasses. So at the bar they will hold the green ones until you return your glasses. I want to thank everyone at Htop Calella Palace and Spa for such an amazing time! 🥰

The hotel is pretty big, therefore very loud and crowded. I could hear noises from all the other rooms, literally a woman constantly fighting with her husband and puking in the middle of the night. Breakfast were pretty good let’s say, a wide choice of things to eat, but I couldn’t find a good coffee machine. The rooms are nice and it was very clean, however i would expect a small fridge in the room in a 4* hotel. Location is very nice and close to most important services.

Definitely not a family hotel , hardly anything for children to do! First day there was a shambles , you are limited on drinks, I was told there was no snacks available you have to pay for it. So what is the point in all inclusive. Very poorly advertised ( down to love holidays) this is more a 2/3 star at best , blood on curtains and furniture , also the furniture is very very dated. Night entertainment? Better going the local pub and watching a few junkies try and have a conversation, absolutely dismal. More Spanish guests than English , it was about a 80/20% ratio , which I might add they don't believe in queing. Food is hit and miss it's laid and presented lovely , but if you don't mind the flies and the bland taste , your in for a winner. The pool area is nice , however definitely not enough sunbeds , there is 7 floors to this building so 40 sunbeds is definitely not enough. However if you travel out to the beach roughly a 7 minute walk it gets better, the sand is not the best it's like fish tank gravel. However nice vibe and the walk along the way with all the little shops is great. Everyone was friendly .

I'm really disappointed in writing this review as I never expected the restaurant not to serve a vegetarian meal as 99% was just meat. I booked it with an all exclusive and I really wish I didn't as the majority of the time we had to eat out, there were times when we had a vegetarian meal but only if we requested it before hand on the day but as we booked excursions it was impossible to always advise them what vegetarian meal to cook as we wanted something different being in Spain.

Nice hotel. 3 pools. Jet2 package deal and it's OK better than the other hotel people were dropped at. No fridge or kettle though in the room.

The hotel is not the newest, but we knew what we were choosing, besides, most of the time we spent outside. The rooms were tidy, cleaned every day, beds were comfortable. The hotel is located close to the center and the beach. On the roof there is a bar and three jacuzzis with beautiful views of the surrounding area. The only drawback was the inability to use the sauna due to a damage. The food is diverse, both fish or meat lovers, and vegetarians will find something for themselves. Reception staff always helpful. Special thanks to Xavier from the bar, Alicia and Patricia from the restaurant, Steeven the cook and Ms. Grazyna from the cleaning team. It was a great time with friendly atmosphere.

Check in took quite some time, we got a room with no balcony and the room was very bland and tasteless. The second room was better. There was a malfunctioning lamp in the bathroom and there was hair on one of the pillows. The food was good though.

October 23. Very rude and unfriendly staff from reception to bar staff and very rude and abusive guests who decided to take a bathroom break against my hotel door and spit against it to hotel staff didn't do any thing about this even after guest verbally attack us very average food mostly cold Don't stay here can't say one good thing about this hotel and staff terrible from start to finish my family and friends did the all inclusive option which was a complete waste of money emailed this to jet2 which so far haven't done anything

The hotel is located quite close to the sea. Delicious food! Lots of animations. The downside is the small pool, but it is compensated by the jacuzzi on the roof with a wonderful view.

Was 4* when it was new needs to be refurbished completely. At the moment it looks like max 2*. The management needs to see another places with 4* and the service for. For the Spa they have just sauna and jacuzzi. Sun bed are very old and damaged and not to many for the tourists, you have to provide you a towel. All inclusive isn’t really a all inclusive on their point of view you have to pay. The room had a mould on the curtains no fridge at all if you need one you have to pay. 2.30 euros for a cup of tea. So before to book here try to read all the comments before. Not worth the money.

We recently spent a week here and it was a lovely experience. The staff were very friendly and went above and beyond to make our stay enjoyable and comfortable. A special thank you to Beata and Alain on the main reception desk. Our initial room was lovely but unfortunately we had no view so the next morning we were changed to a room on the 7th floor with a lovely view of the pool and surrounding areas. The food was delicious, we went all inclusive and weren't disappointed. There was a great selection each setting. The outdoor pool was cold as would be expected for this time of year but we were spoiled with the indoor pool/jacuzzi which we were able to use daily at no cost and had it to ourselves for 45 mins at a time. Overall we had a really lovely time and will definitely be back ☺

Only stayed one night on our way home from Benidorm. Food was very poor, no flavour to any of it everything setout in portions dried out as it was on a panel with panel above and lightts on food. Plenty of choice if you want salad. Staff very good and pleasant, they had entertainment on every nightt. Rooms clean though bathrooms could do with updating. No bath towels just hand towels certainly not a 4 star hotel though it does claim to be.

The place isn't worth 4 stars. Advantages: - pretty broad scope of food to choose - nice service at the reception And that would be all. Bartenders were mostly rude, drinks were very bad and untasty (poor quality of ingredients). Although we had not the lowest package there wasn't much drinks to choose. There was awful smell in the hall. Even if there was a huge scope of food my vegetarian friend had difficulties to find something to eat. We were told to leave dining room at the time but others were not and they sat there an extra hour! Generally I would prefer smaller and cheaper acommodation and eating on my own. I guess this is a place for elderly and families with children so we just didn't match the target group.

Stayed here for little break away with my mum, aunt and sister. Not much to do in town due to covid pandemic. Have to say it was absolutely fantastic stay! Staff could not of been any nicer and welcoming. Lots of activities in hotel. Food was divine 😋. Rooms were very clean and comfortable. Bar staff was very nice and entertaining. Would highly recommend this hotel for adults and especially kids as there is loads to do. Thanks again for being so welcoming 😊

The hotel is really old. The rooms were not clean and we had both broken balcony doors and air conditioning. The food was ok, but the staff was really unpleasant and unkind. Male bartenders were the worst, they made sloppy drinks even though there weren't too many guests in the hotel (off-season). The all-inclusive option allows you to take drinks from the bar until 11 p.m., but no one will make you a drink 5 minutes before closing time unless you pay extra. The hotel offers a poor choice of drinks with all inclusive option and the staff is telling you to leave the restaurant almost immediately after the meal ends, you can't finish what you've already taken to your table in peace. For this price, I was expecting something better because this is not my first all-inclusive holiday.

It's a nice enough hotel , but if you or your children are fussy eaters it's best avoided. My son only drinks Juice not fizzy drinks but they only allow juice at breakfast not lunch or dinner . There is a kids club but the animation team did not try and get kids involved with activities so had to find out what was going on via board . This hotel has many nationalities so don't expect mainly British . Did not make good impression when first arrived as had to pay for drinks at bar as we did not get all inclusive cards till after lunch . They give glass card per person so you have to take glass back at end of night so they return glass card for use following day all inclusive bar closed at 11 not 12 as advertised. Sorry but won't be returning . Air conditioning is fixed so you can't lower temp in rooms .

Check in was about 10 minutes due to having to pay the taxes and have your photo taken for the all inclusive element. As a solo traveller you quite often get a room in some obscure place in the hotel and this was no exception although I did get lucky with a spacious disabled persons room. No kettle etc but drinks were readily available in the bar areas. There where only 2 issues with the room. 1 the shower was broken so could only use the sit down hand held unit and the balcony was dirty. Both took until day 5 to get sorted. Food...... OH MY GOD, SPECTACULAR. Not the usual all inclusive that you would expect where you go to the buffet and everything is in the trays, nope, all individually laid out, individual portions and the taste was wonderful. Hot, tasty and plentiful. Snacks however were served in the restaurant which is a tad inconvenient if you're in the pool area as you have to change before going in. There where no snacks available in the bars unless you wanted to pay. Staff wise, the usual. The Happy bar person, the grumpy bar person, the practical joker and the one who bends over backwards all the time. Reception staff were polite and helpful and the in hotel shop staff were funny and enjoyed playing practical jokes. Overall the main hotel areas were spotless, staff friendly and the roof top terrace which is 18+ only was vigorously enforced by the staff. There were 3 hot tubs and you take your chances at getting in one of those as they were heavily in use with no booki g system. I would recommend the all inclusive option as the drinks and food are a little pricey. A good budget hotel and 10 mins walk to the beach.

Old guy who works in the downstairs bar is such a turn off. Returned here within the space of a few weeks having enjoyed the first week but he treats customers appalingly. Never smiles, doesn't use his manners and its as if he's being forced there to work, after all it's the customers staying there who pay your wages!! He either needs to pull his socks up or go find somewhere else where its acceptable to treat people the way he does.

We spent our holidays in the hotel in May and we don't know if anything has changed since then, but there are a few things that we really didn't like: - the biggest downside is that the hotel is open to outside guests. All inclusive start from 9-10am (breakfast ealier) in the lobby and finished until 10 pm. If you want to have a drink or anything else later, unfortunately you have to pay for it and the lobby bar was open until 1 am during this period. - for the first time we saw the option of cards for everything. 2 cards for the room, 2 cards all inclusive (you have to show them each time you go to a restaurant or bar), glasses cards are a comedy. Generally you must carry 5 cards with you when you leave the room. You will lose it you pay. - cleaning service does not speak English at all. We asked no one to clean our room when we left and when we came back the room was cleaned. No card dont disturb in the room. - cleanliness of the rooms - unfortunately, you could also tell a lot about it. - no fridge in the room, although it was available in the holiday offer. - on the pages of the holiday portal there is information that the beach is sandy and it is a mistake because it is rocky (such tiny pebbles), so it is worth getting special shoes. You can also buy them on site for a few euros. - I also think that the food could be improved. Every day, basically the same dishes and desserts. No variety. Meats made in front of the guests on the grill spent too quickly so they ended up raw. I do not recommend taking a typical all inclusive program, but breakfast only because you can eat really cheap in the city. +: - really beautiful area so there is a lot to see. - there is a railway station close by, so you can see Barcelona for the whole day. A one-way ticket will cost around 5-6 euros. - in May the weather was really great. One day was cooler so it could be spent on shopping arcades and souvenirs.

We have just returned from a 7 day stay at this hotel. We initially had a problem with the room, however the staff were fantastic and changed the room quickly for us. Both rooms had nice views, the rooms are the same and very clean. The staff are all very friendly and helpful. The chefs and waiter staff are all very friendly. We was all inclusive, which works for us. The food is varied, some times lacking a little seasoning, but overall good. The breakfast was the same food on 6 out of the 7 days, good if you like knowing what you're getting. Our disappointment was the main and only accessible pool, of all the 7 days we where there, we only managed to get one chair at the pool as other guests had put their towels out and not using the facilities. Which meant we went to other hotels to use their facilities. The indoor pool was disappointing as it needs to be pre booked the day before, the jacuzzi area on the roof is for over 18's only unlike other hotels which meant our family could not use it together. On the day we left we had asked for a picnic lunch as we left very early in the morning, unfortunately the sandwiches that where given where 3 pieces of bread with lettuce inside, so sad to see no effort was taken to provide something half decent for guests. Overall we would stay here again, but there is room for improvement.

Pros - 5 min walk to the beach - helpful staff - Big rooms Cons - Hard beds - wifi costs extra - parking is horrible and looks dangerous at night, it's besides an abandoned spot - they take 20-30 minutes to process a family at help desk, with 2 or 3 people to take them, it formed a ridiculously long line to check in. You can speed the process by submitting your info online(but I think that we were the only ones who knew this), anyway the guy didn't find our info so we had to do it again, we still took 15 minutes. The whole process seems redundant, some steps on the computer, some on paper, longest check-in in my life at a hotel - Food at night is buffet, not enough choices, desserts are all factory made, food all around is bland, pork is hard, pizza is flavorless, curry rice and salmon was the only redeeming food, tuna was dry even while served with sauce. Bread was nice. - paper thin walls, had to listen to family next door watching TV while trying to sleep All in all a cheap 4 star hotel, almost 3. Would not recommend

My opinion will be long but i think will help others (sorry for my english). Restarant: a lot of food, everyone will find something you like. Everyday something new. Fact, its not real restaurant where you pay a lot of $$$ but as for All Inclusive its very good. You can taste some spanish food as well as ordinary foods. Nice desserts and apetisers. Staff is very helpfull and patient. I very like profesionalism of Tonio from bread court. Also from main course are very nice people. Very nice place to eat. Hotel rooms: Clean and tidy. Beds are comfortable. Bathroom ok - all you need is there. Balcony. Only one thing was irritating - very thin walls so i was woked by someones alarm clock... Simple solution - take earbuds. Cheap way to have peace with neighbours. Pools: i didnt use pool but it was ok, clean. Roof: very nice place to rest. 3 jacuzzi are enough to have nice time with drink from bar (also on roof). A lot of sunbeds. Great to have that in your hotel. Bar: ncie drinks but not those for AI. One drink for free to AI and discount for other drinks. Much diffrence (paid ones were better) but its ok. 3,8 eur for nice drink is fair price, but i woulnd call that All Inclusive. I only think this is way to have cheaper room and everyone to choosse what you want. Its ok. Animations: There was a lot of them, for kids also. I didnt be a part of it but very good for hotel for extra entertainment. Neighourhood: Its silent place. 5 min from see so not far. Calella is best place for holiday there - quiet, peaceful. Hudge guarded beach. Train station to Barcelona (1h - 5,5 eur). A lot of bars and restaurants. Some bigger shop-market 200m. Bike rental close by. For kids its fun park 300m from hotel - 12e and you have them off your head :) Hotel maybe is old but in good condition. Please dont expect You will pay cheaper possible and recive 5 stars standard top of the top. Prices there are totally acceptable and reasonable. I really have good rest there. Totally recommend.

I Stayed here for a week while in Calella for holiday, The Staff are very kind and helpful. Front desk always ready to answer any questions you may have. Excellent facilities. The Pool was nice to swim in, And sunbeds on the side. The bar on the roof accompanied by hot tubs that you can relax in with amazing views of the mountainous landscape and the Sea on either side. The only reason it's not 5 stars is the buffet service. It's nice what they offer but is not always enough of what you like and the dinner hall cannot accommodate for everyone in the hotel and so can be over crowded and too busy Staff Members I would like to Recognise Extra effort and help to accommodate Me and my Girlfriend are: Ricardo on Reception & Oscar the Bartender Many thanks for our stay and I hope to return soon

Oscar is the star of the show. Pedro needs a personality transplant but apart from that the staff are great. Only complaint is cold breakfast when its supposed to be hot. Rooms are comfortable and clean. Cleaning ladies are very pleasant. Reception staff are hard worked. Its not a 4 star hotel as advertised but good enough. Staff so helpful. Thank you so much for a stay in a hotel i wasnt supposed to be in. Got to admit though. I loved every minute of the stay.
