I've
been
in
Europe
for
over
three
months,
and
today
marked
my
first
time
getting
upset
at
a
restaurant,
prompting
me
to
post
a
complaint.
Firstly,
despite
the
popularity
of
this
restaurant,
my
experience
today
was
quite
frustrating.
Our
initial
seating
faced
the
dishwashing
area,
where
someone
continuously
washed
dishes
and
even
splash
water
on
my
friend
while
we
tried
to
eat.
I
couldn't
bear
it
and
requested
a
change.
They
moved
me
to
a
nearby
spot,
mentioning
a
20-minute
limit
due
to
reservations.
However,
I
observed
that
the
restaurant
wasn't
fully
occupied
for
the
following
forty
minutes.
What
perplexed
me
was
the
apparent
segregation,
with
Chinese
customers
placed
at
the
crowded
bar
while
mostly
other
customers
occupied
the
tables.
Is
this
not
discrimination?
Secondly,
what
truly
provoked
me
was
during
the
payment.
My
friend
and
I
requested
separate
bills.
She
paid
in
cash,
and
when
I
asked
a
male
waiter
for
the
card,
he
nodded
but
then
ignored
me
for
at
least
10
minutes.
I
gestured
with
my
eyes,
but
no
one
acknowledged
me.
After
calling
out,
I
finally
got
attention.
Later,
a
dramatic
scene
unfolded
when
a
guy
attempted
to
merge
my
friend's
paid
bill
with
mine.
Despite
my
repeated
explanations,
Waiter
B
and
the
owner
intervened.
I
reiterated
that
my
friend
had
already
paid
multiple
times.
The
owner
claimed
she
was
stressed,
insisting
she
couldn't
understand
English,
while
another
guy,
who
understood,
was
hindered
from
listening
to
my
English
explanation.
Is
it
reasonable
to
expect
a
cheerful
demeanor
in
such
a
dining
environment?
