Wow, Mad & Vin totally blew away my expectations. Their charcuterie plate was the best I’ve had in ages, and the first one to include enough bread right out of the gate. The meat and cheese selections were excellent and the quantities were more than most places, and a great value for the price. The accouterments were also excellent. We also had the pork belly (excellent) and the calamari. I have to say that the calamari was literally the best I’ve ever had, I cannot overstate how excellent it was. Every bite was better than the last. We also had brunch the following morning and it was also wonderful.

I loved every bite of this meal. My pork chop was juicy and the cocktails were superb. My brother didn’t love the fish. But I think he had his heart set on the cioppino and the server recommended the fish instead. It looked really good tho!

We headed over to Mad & Vin for Sunday night dinner while staying in Solvang. We were served by Alejandra who was friendly and attentive. We stared with a couple of dirty martinis and the farmer salad. Both were delicious. For our mains we got the mushroom pasta and the roasted chicken. Honestly, I’ve never written a review for a chicken dinner before, so you know this one has to be excellent. It was so good that I asked our server how it was prepared because my chicken at home is always significantly more dry. She told me that they brine it overnight, roast it in the oven, and finish it in a skillet. Way too much work to do at home but man it was the best chicken that I’ve ever had. The best meal that we had in Solvang.

Mad&Vin is located inside Landsby at beautiful Danish town Solvang. The New York steak in medium cook taste tenderness and soft which is a great choice.

We stayed one night at the Landsby Inn and decided to dine at The Mad and Vin which is the hotel’s restaurant. We loved the food and alcohol. Everything was amazing. We had the pineapple Mezcalita, but we switched the Mezcal for tequila. It was superb. We ordered the caramelized brussels sprouts and the New York steak with a side of grilled shrimps and duck fat french fries. The presentation was beautiful and everything was delicious. For dessert, we ordered the berry cobbler. It had too much oats but otherwise it was delicious. I highly recommend this restaurant.

Such a beautiful experience! Stacy gave us excellent service. So friendly and helpful. The food was delicious. The Brussels sprouts were soooo good. We ordered the salad, calamari, short rib, and berry crumble and banana bread pudding for dessert. Our drinks were Copenhagen cocktail and Luna Roja. I am not exaggerating when I say we loved ALL of it.

First off, 5/5 to front house host (allowed us to dine inside with our pet) and for our server (split our salad and soup in two for us without us asking!) Duck fat fries: solid 4/5, can taste the subtlety from duck fat oil, was light, airy, and not super crispy—enough for a solid bite Calamari: 5/5 very good calamari that was lightly battered, with very meaty calamari-flesh in each bite Soup of day: of course it’s clam chowder, our favorite! Well seasoned and balanced with sweetness from carrots; again, good lumps of clam flesh with each spoonful! We’re staying at the Landsby (which Mad & Vin is located as well) so it was very convenient. Great ambiance, great staff, and great food 😮‍💨

Loved this place. We tried their festive Thanksgiving dinner and it was delicious. Appreciate that even without a reservation we managed to get a table, as they offer to serve food to customers in the bar section too. The place looks very nice and cozy and the service is exceptional.

We really loved the food, the short ribs the Brussels sprouts the kids cheeseburgers were all amazing and also we want to thank Alejandra for her service she really made our night. We ordered the short ribs as sharing entree and I loved how they split it into two elegant plates 👍🏻

Wow, what a hidden gem. At 11:15 on a Saturday, we were hours away from a table at another restaurant and found this place with no wait. Always be skeptical of Hotel food, but this is NOT your typical hotel food at all. The Steak frites and accompanying sauces were prepared perfectly and bursting with flavor. The Eggs Benedict were far from common, every ingredient was remarkably good and it was executed flawlessly. Great coffee, Amazing OJ, and good friendly service. The atmosphere is fantastic and they were very welcoming to our young baby. A clear A+ from me!!

We went on Christmas. We made a 515 reservation to try to beat the rush. Arrived tlat 5pm and they refused to seat us until 515. The waitress was flustered from the first moment. Drinks were amazing! The menu was prix fixe 3 course with only 2 or 3 options so we thought everything would be smooth. The crab cake was fine, the artichoke hearts were awesome. All 4 of us got the prime rib which was good. Unfortunately, dessert is where everything fell apart. We waited 45 minutes and finally just got dessert to go. No apologies, no apathy. I asked to escalate but was denied. Eventually was handed the desserts again with no apologies. Got back to our hotel and no utensils were included so dug out dessert using the lid of a coffee cup. Summary, food good but service horrible.

The food was delicious, 🤤 I have not tasted food like this is years. Come for the brunch and hopefully get your mouth around their short rib grilled cheese of sourdough, as well as their duck fat fries and garlic aioli.
