Beware!!! READ BEFORE BOOKING HERE!!! This accommodation is VERY misleading! I remember reading mixed reviews and I know now why there are so many mixed reviews of this property. When we first booked, the room we got was not the room we thought we had booked because the pictures are very misleading and I think many people have been caught out by this. Some of the rooms face inwards so make sure you get a room that faces the road otherwise you won't be able to open the blinds because the other rooms face the room window and those rooms are very small, cramped and not worth the money at all. So make sure it faces the road!!!! We managed to upgrade but then were quoted an extra 250€ which we accepted but then at checkout we were told it was 285€ which was a bit scaly. When we did get the executive double room it was a lovely room with great facilities. I would rate that room 4 stars and it was lovely and clean. I've given the review one star because if we knew how much we would have to pay overall for that room we would have booked another accommodation that was better located for that amount of money. I don't think that accommodation is at all worth the price they charge. We will not be staying there again.

Check in took quite some time (over half an hour!) as room had to be arranged due to our booking being last minute. Hostel staff were friendly but they definitely require more staff at the front desk. Outside of hostel has little signage so it's not easily identified. If you are not a part of an educational facility you require a YHA membership card at an extra cost of 4 euro. Eventually we got to our room which was well equip with a kitchen facility as well as cooking and cleaning utensils which was a plus. The doors in the room couldn't open all the way to the kitchen which was quite annoying but other than that the rooms were pretty good. Overall, place is good but could do with improvements in more than one place.

Cleaning must be improved, staying for summer holidays high seasson for 5 nights we payed very much for what they offered to us. We booked individual room, we didnΒ΄t have access to kitchen as you have to pay even more for the right to use common facilities...wifi in the rooms is not working and reception desk was busy we waited long always. They changed the bed sheets every 3 days but never ever mop or sweep the floor which deeply annoy me. I made complain at reception almost every day until I felt fed up of not being listened cos they never clean the floor during our stay!.

Very dirty - the furniture and the shower were all covered in sand and dust, as if they had not even tried to do the cleaning. And also after an evening walk in the room we were met by a 3 cm spider. highly do not recommend!

This is an unpretentious place to stay - a bit expensive (like everything else in San Sebastian). Very friendly and helpful reception staff, located in a pleasant area of city, easy access to Ondaretta beach (15 min walk) and city center and tourist areas by bus (bus 25 & bus 5 are just around the corner). It offers free private parking at the side of the building which is a big +. There is no AC or screens on windows to keep out mosquitoes. The studio for 2 people was very small, practically just a basic single room. The stove did not work. The price per night was quite high for what it offers but still low compared to other accommodations in San Sebastian which is an insanely expensive town. We traveled in August, which is high-peak season, maybe that explains the high prices.

Rooms are fairly small and a bit old. However since San Sebastian is quite an expensive city, it was one of the cheapest hotels in town. If you are not a student or professor, you need to buy a membership card for €4. That feels a bit unnecessary.

We arrived at 3 when checking starts, and this takes forever! The system is with paper and folders where they manually need to look up your reservation. It took us 50 minutes, it gives us a look and feel like back in the 80’’ Parking the car is cheap and easy wich is a plus. The place is good value for money, it’s quiet at night wich is an absolute plus in Spain. It’s takes a bus ride or long walk to the old town.

Cheap and cheerful. Two beds to a room, two rooms attached to each other via connecting doors with kitchenette in between. Not a place to spend any time but if you just want a bed it's fine.

Sticky cutlery, tiny bed room, and quite pricy...we will avoid this place next time we come to San Sebastian.
