Easy watch shopping experience with amazing time pieces! I walked in looking for a Seiko watch with a few models in mind, but came out with a special edition color that wasn't even on the Seiko website yet. The staff was knowledgeable and helpful in the shopping experience. 10/10 would recommend!

I was looking for a Seiko timepiece that was sold out everywhere. I called everyone in San Diego and SoCal who popped up on a Google search, and no one had it. Everyone I spoke to told me to come into their shop, check their catalogue, and "IF" they previously carried it, they could order it for me. I looked up the Authorized Dealers on the Seiko website, and found GQ Jewelers & International Timepieces. I called on a Friday at about 11:30 AM to inquire about the timepiece, and the person I spoke to told me that he wasn't familiar with the model number (maybe I gave him the wrong model number?), that he didn't have it in stock but could order it for me. I didn't make much of it (since every other store I called basically told me the same thing), and said I would call back later. Within two hours, I get a text message out of the blue from Gio (the owner) stating that he had contacted Seiko Japan, who told him one timepiece was available, and how/if I wanted to proceed. I rushed to the store (since I was in the area), and was greeted by Gio and his team. He welcomed me, and immediately started explaining that the watch I inquired about was a "limited release, overseas exclusive" which is why he wasn't familiar with the model number I gave him. He then showed me his impressive collection of timepieces, and he shared his background and career in the watch industry. After a very pleasant conversation, I proceeded to make the payment on the timepiece, and he told me it would be here after the 4th of July. Within two weeks, I received my timepiece (which is sold out EVERYWHERE). I am beyond ECSTATIC that I was able to get this unique and coveted timepiece thanks to Gio and his team. Before I called GQ Jewelers & International Timepieces, I looked at their reviews and saw someone mention that "if Gio can't get a watch, no one can." I can personally attest to this and will say it again: if Gio can't get you a watch, no one else can!! - Gio and his team were proactive by contacting Seiko directly and securing the timepiece. - The transaction was quick and easy, and the customer service was friendly and professional - how it should be. Gio and his team made a lifelong customer and I will be back for another timepiece. 11/10 would recommend! Will buy here again!

I had a very good experience at GQ jewelers. Great customer service and selection of watches. I came in to buy a seiko and they had every seiko watch I had been looking at online. Great customer service and knowledgeable owners. I would highly recommend.

Amazing experience. I found GQ jewelers online through the Ball Watch when I was looking for authorized dealers near me. I quickly learned that GQ is the only Ball Watch authorized dealer on the west coast. I went in, and had a great experience, I tried on some watches with Gio, who was very friendly, and endlessly knowledgeable. After finding GQ, I went back with a question about an unusual watch that I had that needed servicing. It was a Bulova Accutron astronaut from 1967, which has a very unique and hard to work on tuning fork movement. To my surprise, Gio knew how to service these movements, and he did a stellar job. The watch was not running, and he fixed and regulated it, and even threw in a watch cleaning and polishing. The price was reasonable, and the service was fast, with plenty of communication along the way. I don’t usually leave reviews, but I really want to highlight stand up a business like Gio’s at GQ

I was looking to add a Seiko to the collection but first wanted to try it on for size. A quick Google search led me to GQ Jewlers, I saw the great reviews and gave it a shot. As a watch collector, that may have been the best decision I’ve made, as I was nearly overwhelmed with their selection of timepieces. From Seiko and GSHOCK to harder-to-find brands like Squale and BALL, Gio truly has it all. His associate Bryan is also extremely personable and knowledgeable, eliminating that “uncomfortable” pushy feeling some feel when buying watches. If you are looking for quality timepieces, give this place a good look.

Amazing selection of G-shock and Seiko watches (best I have seen in SD) and great service. No pressure experience with lots of knowledge shared. Recommended!

I came to San Diego for My Dad’s funeral, and I wanted to get a commemorative time piece. I did the usual tourist thing, and went to Fashion Valley, didn’t find what I was looking for. Then I stopped by GQ Jewelers. What a great place! The selection, the enthusiasm of Gio and Max was infectious. It was so great to find a watch store for enthusiasts. Nothing pretentious in this store. It’s 100% watches and 100% awesome!! I checked out their choices, including a couple of consignment pieces. I purchased my Squale Matic from them, they also tossed in a Squale NATO strap. I would highly recommend them, and if I’m back in San Diego, I’m going to be stopping by again. Jeremy

After searching high and low for one of the new Seiko GMTs and basically giving up hope, I dropped into GQ on a lark and they had all 3 colorways! I hung out and chatted with Gio (the owner) for a while, and he's a super nice guy. Very friendly and knowledgeable. Would absolutely recommend to anyone in the market for a new watch. Worth mentioning as well that what you see is NOT what you get! If you don't see it in the case, there's a good chance that Gio can get it for you. Update Nov 2022: Gio was able to get me a super limited edition Rowing Blazers x Seiko as well! Absolutely awesome watch.
