In this square, which is a square that connects the CĂ©spedes park to the Marti square, you can see, as in all of Santiago de Cuba, the Cuban idiosyncrasies at each step. The sale of fruits, beer, music, Sala Dolores in which concerts are held. Better said, recommended place to go and if you have time enjoy the Cuban, international and national art that you can enjoy in the only Dolores as well as in the whole city. The plaza is long and thin, with a memorial in the centre, and the actual garden area is relatively small, compared to the space taken over by tables and chairs for the bars and restaurants. We stopped by on a couple of occasions, and had pleasant drinks inside a couple of the bars as outside was just too hot for us.

a place to take a break and have a drink. This park, which is the second most important square in Santiago de Cuba, dates from the beginning of the 17th century and, until 1776, It was the land entry for agricultural products and it became a market for sale to the public. Old traditional park, actually nice to sit here and have a drink but you are constantly being harassed by professional beggars.
