When you go there, just go all the way to the right when you are in front of the entrance, there is the local (free) entrance. There you don't have to pay to get in. Otherwise they will ask you some money, how much? Just the amount they want to have that day. The cemetery itself is very beautiful!

Beautiful cemetery, well maintained. Impressive is the changing of the guard.

Well, this place is in every tourism book and seems to be one of the must-seen of Santiago. I've been there, and thought it's a very regular graveyard. I mean, it might be nice to see, but regarding the "hipe" for this place I was expecting something really more "must-seen". The memorial for José Marti is pretty, though. * Entrance is 3 CUC. * Notice you have to pass by the grave of Fidel Castro while entering, else it's gonna be a mark of disrepect for the Cuban guards.

I love how my grandma visits me every Halloween. The only reason I took off a star is that she gets kinda dirty coming from the ground, please install a hot shower.

👍 A pleasant park in the historical center to sit in the shade of trees and take a break from the heat and noisy city. We are very loved by both tourists and natives.
