Square One is an amazing restaurant, located not too far from the university of PUCMM, very nice design inside, like ancient construction. A nice place where you can take some nice memories pictures. They have good sounds inside, the service is good, even though you have to wait before enter ordering. A various menu to choose of, good drinks 🍹 It was a good experience.

Appeal: awesome designs and friendly atmosphere. Appetizer: garlic bread was great! Entrées: Madurito sushi was really good. Nachos one sushi (yes nachos sushi - I had to try it) I wouldn’t recommend it though. Dessert: brownie a la moda - the brownie was amazing! The ice cream was like flaky freezer burned ice cream.

I’ve been coming to SQ1 for 8 years, unfortunately they are watering down the food quality big time, at a point that is uneditable. I ordered a melted cheese sandwich (that was all soggy and overly greasy), french fries (bland and overly salted), and a bacon and cheese sandwich with extra bacon on the side (I trash it away because of its terrible cheap bacon smell, that was not even bacon, just the fat, see images). My recommendation: go to any neighborhood cafeteria, and you will get the same cheap fake american cheese on a week old bread and for much less!

Really nice American style restaurant. Food is really good, and the desserts are delicious. Recommend it.

A Gastronomic Delight at Square One I recently had the pleasure of dining at Square One, a culinary gem that offers an unparalleled breakfast experience. I was looking forward to a savoury morning feast and I must say, they did not disappoint. The moment I stepped through the door, I was welcomed by the warm ambiance and friendly staff that set the tone for the delightful breakfast experience ahead. The menu is an homage to classic breakfast dishes, but each with a unique twist that makes Square One stand out. The star of the show was undoubtedly their French toast. Custardy on the inside and perfectly crisp on the outside, it was a symphony of flavours in every bite. The toasts were drizzled with maple syrup that added just the right amount of sweetness without being overbearing. It was obvious that the ingredients were fresh and of high-quality, a testament to Square One's commitment to providing an exceptional dining experience. The scrambled eggs were light and fluffy, a perfect example of simple done right. The bacon was cooked to perfection, boasting a balance of crispiness and chewiness that hit all the right notes. The sausage was juicy and packed with flavour, a perfect companion to the eggs and bacon. My meal also included potato wedges, which were a standout in their own right. They were cooked to a golden brown, crispy on the outside yet tender and fluffy on the inside. The seasoning was spot on, providing a subtle kick that worked well with the rest of the dish. Each dish was served with care and attention to detail, from the presentation to the portion size, everything was well thought out. The service was impeccable, with attentive staff ensuring that the dining experience was smooth and enjoyable from start to finish. In conclusion, breakfast at Square One is an experience that is not to be missed. It's not just a meal, but a celebration of flavours, textures, and culinary craftsmanship. Whether you're a local or just passing through, make sure to stop by Square One for a breakfast that is sure to start your day on a high note.

The best fast food in Santiago hands down! We went there for lunch sunday morning and even though we had to wait in line to get in for several minutes, it was worth it, the place is cute and the food was awesome.

Huge menu. Looks really cool outside and inside. Can’t go wrong with the 3 golpe for breakfast.

We went there for brunch twice and had a good time. It has that on-campus restaurant vibe going and the subway theme only adds to that and the whole feel is quite a welcoming. The first morning we went, there was no wait but the second time we waited for about five minutes before getting a table. It is quite popular which is not surprising at all. Their mangu is one of the best I've ever tasted, so creamy and smooth 😋. We also had a pepperoni pizza that was simply awesome. I also like the fact that they have those breakfast combos and the prices are great. The stewardesses at the entry and the waiters are nice and effective. For such a busy place, the service is quite fast.

This spot has the most atrocious and worst customer service ever and i have been to many restaurants in Dominican Republic but this restaurant takes the crown for being horrible. The food was either cold or not cooked well enough. Our waiter had a bad attitude taking the orders, didn't take the orders properly or even bothered to check from time to time to see if we needed anything. Ordered a burger and the burger patty was still frozen and red. The food and service is not worth it, will never come here ever again.

Very good food overall, however we as a group ordered among the things an entrée of buffalo wings, they came dry and told us that the buffalo sauce was part of the batter, still tasted good, but not what we expected, though they did say they could add more sauce if we wanted, which was nice. Also ordered the BBQ Rib burguer, which is the most expensive one on the menu and was left dissappointed, it had too many ingredients, so in the end it was a bit of a clash, but above all, they used the seemingly cheapest beef for the base patty, which was both dry and tasteless, not what you expect from the most expensive option on the menu as it was low quality beef. After that the food and drinks were really good, service was excellent, though there is some wait before going in and the food came very quickly, also the prices were excellent for the food we got and the amount as well.

The first time I went I had no problem and I decided to invite my family. The food was lightly warm and it was not made correctly how we asked. We ordered a well done steak and it was still pink. No chopsticks were given for the sushi and no spoon for the soup. I hope they pay attention to small details to make costumers come back.

Good prices, good food, the air conditioner could be better but there were a lot of people so that's ok.

I can see why this place gets such good reviews. There was definitely a line outside so plan accordingly. Food and service were outstanding. Zero complaints. Highly recommend.

Great restaurant. Very nice decor. They had the NYC vibe. Great intro for me to Sancocho and Mangu - some of the traditional DR foods. Also one of a few places which accepts credit cards

Square 1 has a NYC Subway theme. When you enter, it's like sitting in a Subway train. The kitchen wall is stainless with train car vibes. What I really love about this place is the expansive menu. It's one of th biggest I've ever seen and caters to everyone. You have your tradition Domincan and American foods all throughout the menu and everything I've had here (5 visits as of writing this) has been excellent. There are typically a ton of people and I've always had to wait for 5-15 minutes to get a table. The staff and service are great and are quick to get you your food. Overall a great place.

It has really good food at affordable prices. The only thing I didn't give 5 start is the lack of parking spaces. However they have ballet parking as an option (personally I don't like).

Great place! Def enjoyed the 3 golpe which is mangu, eggs, fried cheese, and fried salami. Price was fair, service was good. I can say it was full the day I went and the service was slow. It was understandable.

The environment and good tasting food was very satisfying to me and my group. The location is adjacent to a gas station, and no real place for the long line to wait. We beat the rush and got seated quickly. The servers were very attentive and the food came out not too long after ordering. I give it a 4.7 star rating because I ordered mangu at lunch time and it tasted as it was reheated (which I suspect it is since it's considered a breakfast food). Overall it was a very good experience and would return.

By far the top 3 restaurant in Santiago or probably the best one. It has the best service, a lot of variety on the menu, many ways to pay the bill, food is on the table in less than 15 minutes regardless if the restaurant is packed packed! I've been going there since 2013 and I will always go to this place at least 3 times per vacation. The food is clean, well done, very clean place and now they had remodeled it for a small meet n greet or concert for the audience. Something not many restaurants have done. The employees waiters and and waitresses are outgoing and really humble. And also it is on a spot where a lot of people passes by. Its ahead of the league.

They have a very good service, the food is delicious, decorations are always updated and the overall environment is amazing. Perfect for brunch, but also for dinner because it is also beautiful at night. They have a decent menu with seasonal offers and plates. I've been there couple of time and last time I visited it was near the 4th of July. They were offering an American menu with burgers, wings and drinks to celebrate.

If you are looking for great food and great service including fast service in you listing? This is your better option. The food is very cheaper than other restaurants and it’s even way better than others. Square one has a great location because it is in for of the university and its easier for the students to move here and eat something real quick.

The fact is you have to used your phone to se the price of the menu I don’t like it because I didn’t have a phone or my phone is broke my battery is dead. So how I’m going to see the price? Good welcome

I hardly write a review but there it goes. The food was cold. I ordered mangu with eggs and cheese and it tasted bitter, because was old. Also ordered nachos and was terrible. The worst part is that I didnt eat one full spoon and complained about it to the staff and the manager just told me if I wanted to take home. I paid in full and didnt eat anything. What a shame.

Good place open all day for food. No alcoholic drinks after like 2 am. Chicken nachos are the bomb omg so good.

The Food is good but it takes a long time for everything. Even a bottle water takes 10 minutes. The Menu is just words. It's hard to decide what to eat.

Really nice place and the food was delicious just didn't like the 40 min line to get a table, 30 min waiting for the bill and from my point of view a little bit pricey

Amazing food, horrible customer service. They wanted to blame me for their server's mishap. Again loved the food but their service was terrible. Don't plan on regularly coming back.

What to say Square One has become a mandatory stop on my visits to Santiago, it has a good vibe, good music, the attention to users is excellent, the prices are acceptable despite the fact that it is a very popular place. The speed with which they serve the dishes is good, the food is super good with a very acceptable quality, the variety of drinks and the variety of food is one of the widest of all places I have visited. I would definitely come back again and again. Excellent place

Decent experience. Nice ambiance. Cheap brunch prices. Food was good. Would have to try other things on the menu to give a more refined review about the taste and quality. But would go again.

I usually love coming here and it’s usually great! In June I ordered the chicken tacos and they were amazing but now in July I also visited the restaurant with hopes to eat those amazing chicken tacos but instead they were totally different :( I don’t know if they changed the cook or something but please don’t start changing your food and on top of that my favorite drink (Mojito) was not available at 12pm starting the day

Really cool place!! A must for Americans traveling to Santiago. Has a cool hip NYC vibe. The train makes it an awesome photo opp. However the service was slow and the food was warm — not hot. Took a while for waitress to show up yet they are fully staffed. I don’t get it. I went on a Wednesday afternoon to avoid the lunch and dinner crowds. Wish they had better service. Would have been a repeat spot for us. For the price, better to hit local spots.
