We had a great stay in the Suite at the top floor with a superb view. At night you can leave the balcony door open and sleep with a gentle ocean breeze and the sound of the waves. Slept really well. A more basic type of hotel with is it's charme. Location is perfect, just a few metres from the beach and restaurants. Very clean rooms and nice local breakfast. Staff is super friendly and Stiven from the reception can help with anything.

We really enjoyed our stay at Aquiles eco hotel. The staff was helpful and gave us very nice advices on the things to do at Sao Pedro. If you pass by Sao Vincente, you have to pass by this amazing hotel.

Excellent little hotel! We stayed in the suite for 2 nights and enjoyed it. The view was stunning especially during sunset. The hotel has a nice minimalistic design. The only drawback is that the ecological bathroom is not very practical. The Italian owner is very friendly and the stuff very helpful. Highly recommended!

Very nice place to stay. It is clean, eco-driven and reduced to the important things. Though it’s rudimentary there is everything available you need. Compared to the standard of the fishermen houses in the village, this hotel is high class. Breakfast is tasty and the kitchen offers great dishes for dinner as well. Personell is highly friendly and courteous. Always happy to help. Chill out places invite to relax. The are a handful nice places around to have lunch and dinner with local food/ fish. A walk on the beach is wonderful. A place to feel comfortable which I can highly recommend to stay at. Also great for windsurfers who wish to stay more local style.

Architecture of this building / hotel is making your stay very unique as it's real experience of staying in a small wooden box / container. The area of the hotel is safe and very close to life of local community (school, playground, beach full of fisherman's) and staff is very friendly, offering a glass of ponch / grogue during check-in. Overall stay was OK, however the rooms are overpriced for the provided services : many times during our short stay we had issues with water in the bathroom (no water at all in sink, shower and flush in the evening / morning), WI-FI signal is available only in the restaurant / reception desk and breakfast is served after 8 am, which is little bit late to discover the island. Hotel have great potential but need some improvements!

Beautiful place. We loved our stay here and it was such a different hotel in comparison to other standard hotels. Great set menu in the evening, lovely staff and the owners are super nice.

Very bad experience We reserved for 4 nights the suite room via Expedia. Arrived at the hotel, the reception lady informed us that our reservation was not confirmed to Expedia. She showed me that she never confirmed the Expedia reservations because they don’t pay enough for the room. She proposed me to inform Expedia and cancel my reservation and to pay the room directly to the hotel. « By chance », the room was available exactly for our stay. My impression is that doesn’t happen only to us and the hotel do this systematically. I don’t know if it’s only for Expedia or it can happen also for Booking clients. We decided to change the hotel and to inform the booking platform of all these inconveniences. If you don’t want any troubles, find other hotel.

Amazing Beach, Very good food, lovely staff, nice clean rooms!

We have had a wonderful stay here at aquiles. Hospitality like we experienced here is not something you find every day. Although we were clearly too early on the day of check-in, we were immediately allowed to move into our room. The whole hotel is very clean and the room service does a great job. The breakfast is prepared with love and leaves nothing to be desired. The staff is courteous all around and helps in all matters and beyond. Thank you for the wonderful stay, we will be happy to come back!
