Fantastic spot for the kite surfing aficionado. An off the grid gem. I had the opportunity to meet some wonderful people here as well. Not only the staff, but also visitors from other different parts of the world. The local food was delicious and fresh. I will be making my way back to Kite Buen Hombre in the near future. ❤

Just got back from a week at camp Buen Hombre. To say that we had an amazing time would not even come close to describing our experience. Our Cabin on the beach was as clean and perfect as the photos. Riin is an amazing host who made sure we had any and everything we needed. Our instructors Micky and Eric were patient and knowledgeable. The food was plentiful and delicious and also Accommodating to Dietary needs. Although I dont think we are quite ready to go Pro as kiters, we went from never having stood on a board to feeling comfortable in our week stay in Buen Hombre. 10/10 and we are all ready planning our next visit. Thank you so much to Riin, Micky, all the dogs, and the "boys''

This spot is simply unique. A stunning lagoon surrounded by a nature reserve. The ideal place to go kiting and forget about everything. Plenty options for Downwinders + rescue boat. The little chalets are quaint and comfy and literally on the kite spot. The the vibe is zen, extremely friendly and welcoming. By far one of the best kite spots I have been to. Looking forward to my next visit. Thank you KBH.

The kite spot is amazing, but the Kite Buen Hombre crew operates their business like a gang organization by intimidating anyone who is not their customer on the beach. One of their beginner students landed a kite on my head, which is fine because I know people learning to kite don't have a lot of control, but then our kites got tangled, and they went downwind and deflated my kite and filled it with salt water, damaging my gear. Super unnecessary. Even if they needed to deflate my kite, they could have done so and closed the valve to avoid damaging my brand new kite.

Best kite school in Dominican Republic! I was looking for a non turistic beach kite camp to learn kitesurfing and found Kite Buen Hombre through friends. They have steady wind and flat blue water which is not crowded so it was a perfect safe spot for me to learn. Very friendly staff and instructors! If you want to learn fast, meet other fellow kiters and be part of authentic Dominican life, that’s the place to go!

If you're looking for the best place to learn to kite, with the best conditions and the best instruction, you'll find it all at Kite Buen Hombre. Unlike so many other "cookie cutter" kite schools, Kite Buen Hombre is laid back, friendly, very reasonably priced, and will fast track you to being up and riding much faster than would be possible at any other kite school. Miky is an EXCELLANT instructor who has the knowledge, skill, and dedication necessary to make your learning experience fun and rewarding with quick results. If you're already a kiter, Miky can sharpen your current skills. Or, if you just want to experience a kite destination with outstanding conditions, Kite Buen Hombre is the destination that you've been looking for.

I found Buen Hombre in my search for flat water kitesurfing spots in the Dominican Republic last year, a true jewel. I managed to visit this paradise in January 2021 in spite of the COVID restrictions. I discovered so much more than I had envisioned! After many trips to the DR I had the feeling to get to know the country and people for the very first time. Maybe it is the seclusion, maybe the simplicity creates perfection, maybe it was meeting all these interesting people, however most certainly, it was the amazing hosts Eva and Riin that made the atmosphere so very unique. Included in this wonderful environment was an awesome kite spot including a huge shallow, flat water area and wave zone at the reef. In contrast to my previous experience as a tourist who always avoids large resorts, I felt as part of a family the entire time of my stay. Many people already have provided good comments. The fresh and tasty food was prepared locally. Everybody came together to eat on a long table which set the stage for great conversations with other guests and the friendly team. This kite camp is perfect for novice and advanced kitesurfers. Mickey and Eric are not only amazing kitesurfers, they also understand to transfer their vast knowledge and experience effectively. In addition, this place is perfect to disconnect from the craziness of life and find yourself. You won't need a teacher for meditation. You simply walk down the beach, find solitude, and let the sound of the waves guide your meditation. The sound of waves accompanied me for my entire stay of two weeks. I learned how little is needed to be happy. There aren't many days where conditions don't allow for kiting. On calm days, one can enjoy snorkeling, diving, hiking or enjoy the ocean on a paddle board. The 16 km (10 miles) downwind kite session over azure blue, clear water from Paradise Island to camp Buen Hombre was breathtakingly beautiful. The reef was on one side and endless mangrove forests on the other. I have tried to capture the feeling I had at Buen Hombre, but words fail me. I recommend that you go and see it for yourself! I think it is important to support tourism that is peaceful, slow, and close to local people and nature over the usual all inclusive luxury resorts. It seems the right way to strengthen local infrastructure and economy. I hope that the national and local government, especially in the Monte Christi region, realize this and support carefully expanding the local infrastructure. I for one will revisit the kite camp Buen Hombre many times in the future! Thank you so much for everything guys!! Maik

I have been to Kite Buen Hombre two times. I think saying two times, means I really loved my first time. After years of traveling to at least 15 different kiting spots in the Caribbean and US, Kite Buen Hombre is by far the best of them all when it comes to consistent wind, flat shallow water and fun social gatherings with other kiters. Coming to Kite Buen Hombre is more of an experience than just going to a kite school. It is a community of fantastic, friendly staff, fun international kiters to hang with, an amazing location for kiting, and high quality kite equipment to rent. Every morning is a family style breakfast cooked by a local restaurant and dinner is the same with always the catch of the day. I'm headed down for the third time this November (2022). I can't wait!

I had never done kiteboarding before, so I took the beginner's kiteboarding course. It was an absolutely great experience and the teachers were very knowledgeable and helpful. Would definitely recommend Kite Buen Hombre to anyone wanting to learn to kitesurf! Also the beach is stunning and has constant, steady winds which make it a perfect place for beginners and professionals alike.

Me and my daughter had great time learning kite surfing at Kite Buen Hombre. I loved the wild location and beautiful beach. Also, learning conditions were really good. Staff at Been Hombre went their way to make sure we have everything we need and accommodate all our wishes. Furthermore, we enjoyed.trip to small paradise island and beautiful night at the beach with bonfire, stars and best bbq chicken i ever had. I am so glad we visited this little paradise and recommend it to everyone who likes to learn kite surfing.

A kite school with integrity. I organized an instructor and rental gear from them but the neighboring kite school went out of their way to prevent the gear and instructor from getting on their boat as my friends has booked with the other kite school (Friendly kite). They forced me to work with them instead. Regardless of Friendly Kite’s instruction, that behavior is unacceptable for any business.
