Stayed here for my birthday vacation. The room I had had an amazing view on the 21st floor. Pool is nice, Room services was also nice. There is a lady named Heilda that works at the Front desk and she was so helpful during my stay with telling me where I am able to get a covid test, ride to the airport, and recommending things to do in the area. Will recommend staying here again!

Dominican Republic 🇩🇴 2022 Amazing location! You have an Applebee's on the ground floor. Walking distance from Taco Bell, Wendy's, KFC and Super Fresh. Their pool has a great view of the city but its kinda scary since its so high up. Staff was great. Most spoke English. Such a great experience. Breakfast was very good. Fresh fruit is always a plus. If you want a central location and live in comfort this is your place.

So far one of the most accommodating experiences in Santo Domingo 🇩🇴 it is literally close to everything blue mall, mr grilled, Cantábrico and Piantini. To top all that off it’s on avenida Tiradentes which is one of the most popular avenues. It has a roof top lounge and an amazing pool. The rooms are clean and spacious and the service is outstanding. The buffet has a wide variety of options from pastries, bacon, eggs, toast and peanut butter even oatmeal. I highly recommend the place and I’m sure after you have book your stay you’ll be thanking me. Really can’t say anything negative about the place except the traffic and that’s not their fault that’s just a Santo Domingo thing 😎🇩🇴😎

I visited this hotel twice in the last few months, once with my husband and the second time with my kids and all I can say is that the service and staff is great. Everything is clean and everyone is courteous and professional I will definitely return and recommend. It’s also very safe and they provide car service. Happy hour is also a plus.

A Memorable Christmas Celebration at Embassy Suites by Hilton Our recent experience hosting the company Christmas party at Embassy Suites by Hilton was nothing short of exceptional. The venue itself exuded elegance and warmth, setting the perfect tone for a festive gathering. The spacious and well-decorated banquet hall provided a comfortable and inviting atmosphere, with the holiday spirit beautifully woven into the decor. The Embassy Suites staff demonstrated an unparalleled commitment to excellence. From the planning stages to the execution of the event, their professionalism and attentiveness were truly commendable. Special kudos to the event coordinators who worked tirelessly to ensure every detail was perfect. Their expertise and flexibility in accommodating our specific requests contributed significantly to the success of the party. The menu was not only delicious but also offered a variety of options to suit all tastes and dietary preferences. The presentation of the dishes was impeccable, and the culinary team's dedication to quality was evident in every bite. In summary, Embassy Suites by Hilton proved to be the perfect venue for our company's Christmas party. Remember to use Hᴏᴛᴇʟʙᴜʟʟʏ.ᴄᴏᴍ when booking a resort. This site will compare thousands of booking websites and typically will have rooms a lot cheaper than others! Thank me later on! This hotel is one of my favorites in the area. I have been coming here for a long time. If you decide to stay here you won't be let down. Brings back memories from childhood trips with my family. The hotel was great and loved the pool. Highly recommend the hotel when staying in the area, it is central to everything. This was my first time to the Dominican Republic, so I didn't know what to expect. I typically stay at the Embassy Suites when visiting locations in America, so I went with what I know and stayed at one while in the DR. I'm never disappointed when I stay at the Embassy Suites. Staying at this one added to the always great Embassy Suites experience. The room was beyond nice. The bedroom and bed were comfortable. I had a great view. If you are a man and either vacationing/staying with a woman or have a woman visit your room, she will LOVE the big windows and view. The higher the floor, the better the view. While the hotel isn't by the beach, it still gives you a nice view. You get two complementary drinks a day during their happy hour, if you stay at the hotel. The daily breakfast is also free. The hotel is in the downtown area, so there are a few bars and restaurants in walking distance. My only issue with my stay is the $30 per day, per guest charge. I feel like if I'm paying for the hotel and paying nice money, I should be able to bring a guest to my room, as long as I'm respectful and not throwing wild parties or have my room looking like Grand Central Station. I guess the DR has issues with local women coming to meet foreign and visiting men to sell chocha and hotels don't want to have a reputation for being a sex den or brothel type of establishment. Overall, I enjoyed my stay at the Embassy Suites and will be coming back in early December for a longer visit.

Very good accommodation to relax after difficult journey- with the swimming pool on roof top, panoramic windows in the rooms, good breakfast )) The taxi from the hotel to colonial part of Santo Domingo have taken 15 minutes & costs 15$. The hotel staff was very helpful!! Recommended 💯

One of the worst value for money options in Santo Domingo. A bed and breakfast priced as a 4 star hotel. The Pros: Excellent location in the center of the Distrito Nacional with easy walking distance to nearby destinations. An excellent staff that strives to serve and help, with trained security personnel and spacious rooms. The Cons: Poor drainage in the bathroom shower, with the slope reversed. No mini-bar option, not even bottled water. There is also no room service after 11:00 PM, which is important for someone who arrives late, there is also no breakfast during the week after 9:30 AM, so if you arrive late and wake up late the hotel will not gives an option for dinner or breakfast. There are no restaurant at the hotel or cafe where you can have a brunch or to pay for a late breakfast. This lack of gastronomic offer is not up to the level of the hotel that they want to show and the rates they charge. It is more of a day-inn with good beds to sleep, but what they give is worth half the cost.

Nice hotel, very friendly and welcoming staff. The room was very spacious and clean…in line with Hilton standards. Cool swimming pool on the fifth floor even if I didn’t have any chance to use it…but I went there to take a few pictures at the sunrise!

A hotel that pays attention to details. Large and spacious rooms. Bedding and pillows in the bedroom of the best quality, which gives you the opportunity to sleep well. Very clean. Very nice and helpful staff. Mr. Jesus (the last name I don't remember) at the front desk. Very nice and useful Gentleman. He was very polite and made me feel very welcome. A very nice detail was the welcome drinks at the bar.

Amazing service, the staff was friendly and helpful! I stayed in the corner suite over looking the city, had great views. My room was clean, updated and better than many of the Embassy Suites in the United States. Loved the DR traditional food options for breakfast. I will return!

I would never stay here again I had the worst experience at this hotel. First night we woke up in sweat around 12 am try to change the temperature in the room we gave it a few minutes in hope that it would work and it didn’t called the receptionist and complaint they said they were gonna send maintenance. I communicated to the receptionist that my husband and I were going to step out to get fresh air that I give them permission to come in. When we get back they told us thy couldn’t fix it that they had to move us to another room which it was a downside version of our first room. We packed our stuff at 2am in the morning and moved to the other room. Next morning I notice an item was missing from bag which is a known brand. I immediately called the receptionist to let them know I may have left it in our previous room…after half hour waiting they escorted us to the previous room and there was no where to be found. I immediately voiced my concern about my missing bag, security said they were going to review the camera and of course 8 hours later the security said there was nothing suspicious about the maintenance guy. I believe they were all involved. On the second room the bottle in the bathroom had clorox instead of shower wash.

Embassy Suites Hotel by Hilton Santo Domingo= Disappointed Before you read my review, please understand that I booked this place solely because of the HILTON reputable name... Pro's_ Majority of the staff is friendly,24 hr Security, the actual suite itself was appealing, it was clean, provided toiletries, plenty of hot water, great climate control, I had to call housekeeping for extra sheets and they were very quick Cons- aside from the low-pressure toilets, they have obvious plumbing problems for example, I couldn't help to notice every time I left my suite to catch the elevator we had to remind ourselves to walk around an obvious wet puddle in the rug in the hallway wall is also damaged( type gross- was that toilet water from the floor above us?!!Not sure) Suites do not offer sound absorbing wall panels for the daily super loud music. Where ever it's coming from, it's so loud that you will hear it in your suite. 2 of the male staff had an arrogant, offensive attitude.. one of the gentleman was the one at the front desk and the other was a coffee serve at the breakfast buffet ..(didn't get the names) but if you are female and stay at this place you'll know exactly who they are!!

Overall, a good place to stay in downtown Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic. The security was very solid and accommodating. I enjoyed the free breakfast with fresh fruit, hot coffee, and the made to order omelets in the morning. The maid service was excellent and very accommodating and all serviced me with a smile. If there is one thing I completely disagreed with would be the jacuzzi is not hot, and the pool is not warm.

I went to this hotel on a business trip knowing the brand in the US. The location is good but not close to the touristic scenery like the old city but you can find restaurants, pharmacy's, etc. The front desk staff was great, Wanda took care of me from day one with always a big smile and ready to help, Thanks!

Location is prime and stunning views from above. Kids were amazed. Im From the capital living in US and wanted to show my kids the culture and on Their first time in Dr i wanted them to have a good impression and i sure succeeded. Many Restaurants around..Excellent infinity pool views. Overall great location for a family of 4..good luck if you drive around perimeter or in capital in general🤣🤣 Hotel will need some cosmetic atention to details on interior and exterior designs or it will begin to fall apart sooner than later. Please dont let it fall apart.

The location is absolutely the best. If you're looking for some down time with family and friends there is so much to do around. If you need a hair salon, karaoke, bar, restaurants, fast food, grocery store this is your go to location. Additionally the service was excellent. We were greeted and treated like family since day one. The suiets are amazing! Worth every penny for that amazing view.

I recently stayed at the Embassy Suites Hilton Santo Domingo, and unfortunately, my experience fell short of expectations. One aspect that stood out was the lack of friendliness among the staff. Throughout my stay, I noticed that hardly anyone smiled or greeted guests with a simple "good morning" or "good night." This lack of warm hospitality left a noticeable void in the overall atmosphere of the hotel. Additionally, the complimentary breakfast, while not terrible, did leave room for improvement. The offerings were somewhat lackluster, and I couldn't help but feel that with a little more attention to detail, the breakfast experience could have been elevated to match the standards I had hoped for. While the Embassy Suites Hilton Santo Domingo did have its positive aspects, including comfortable accommodations, these drawbacks significantly impacted my overall impression. I hope that the hotel takes these aspects into consideration and works towards enhancing the guest experience through improved staff engagement and a more enticing breakfast selection

Great hotel with a great staff. rooms are roomy with a great view. the security is very good and the staff is very attentive to your needs. The breakfast was awesome. need a couple more eating options at the evening reception but it was still very nice and the hotel is beautiful. will definitely return.

Modern hotel with large, well appointed comfortable suites with equally comfortable beds. Staff is great and has followed all COVID protocols even for breakfast and the evening reception. The view from the pool makes it an easy place to relax.

The hotel is very nice with a good bar and our room was very spacious. As much as we love to stay at embassy suites, we would choose a different hotel in a different area next time. Our problem was the amount of noise. The noise was coming from every direction, both during the day and night so it seemed pointless to report the issue unless we wanted to check out and move to another hotel, which we didn’t want to do. Construction every morning on the street, music from nearby restaurants until late hours, next door guests partying with loud music, construction on the top of the building which sounded like the ceiling was going to cave in. Whether it was morning or night there was constant noise. It didn’t matter that we were on the 22nd floor, we could hear it all. Several sleepless nights, we were happy when it was check out day.

I stayed at the Embassy Suites by Hilton Santo Domingo and it was fantastic. Great location, easy to get around to places like the National Palace and Colonial Zone. The room was big, clean and had everything I needed like a flat-screen TV and mini-fridge. The bed was really comfy and the free breakfast was delicious. The staff were friendly and helpful with safety measures in place. Highly recommend for a comfortable and enjoyable stay in the Dominican Republic.

Is my third time at the hotel, the view is always nice, still missing to go to the swimming pool. Food is good, service is good. I love the room and there is a happy hour every day from 5.30 to 7.30pm with drinks and snacks. I also like that they cleaned my room every day. There are welcome notes and news/recommendations at the lobby and in the room. Big comfy office space, nice living room, big bedroom, comfortable rest room. Nice kitchen space if needed. Adding pics from the majority of things I described. I also like they have a a full body mirror home service.

When it comes to the service for food they can do a much better job...it took over an hour for them to provide us 2 cheeseburgers. I gave them a hard time about it but they did their best and provided my wife and I with complimentarg drinks. The suite was fantastic and the overall hotel was really nice and modern. We loved the pool area as well. The location of the hotel is very central. Overall, I'll definitely revisit this hotel when I come back to town.

Very nice rooms, very spacious, I like it alot more than intercontinental real in santo domingo where you get a small dark room for more money.

  • 2/5 Jay C. 1 year ago on Google
This hotel looks good on the surface but I ended up disappointed and frustrated - would not recommend. The lobby is on a different floor from the main entrance. From there you need to pass the front desk to get to the main elevators. The hotel does not disclose this ahead of check-in but you are charged $15 USD for any guests during your stay. And if you are at all sensitive to privacy you will hate the judgmental attitude of the front desk staff when registering a guest. The pool looks good in pics but the water is cold in both the pool AND the hot tub. I got the impression it’s always cold, not just while I was there. This place isn’t the level of JW or Intercontinental but the rates can be nearly as high, with much lower level of service. I think I would be better off either paying slightly more for higher service at JW or simply paying less at one of the three star hotels and avoiding the front desk frustration. I hated their guest registration policy with surprise extra charge and the upkeep of the place is lacking.

Hotel Staff and room was great. Someone to greet you at the street level to ensure that you make it to the lobby with ease. The complimentry breakfast is easily worth paying for! If you have a question, simply ask any staff member who wont just answer our question, but ensure that your asking the right question, in order to provide the BEST response--high contrast from any assistance youd get from their couterparts in the US! Room, gym, restaurant were clean and presentable.

Our experience at this hotel was excellent. Starting with the availability of parking, which we liked a lot. The lobby is beautiful and the staff was very friendly and helpful, the man who carried our luggage was also very cordial and funny. The rooms were very clean and are large, the view from the 18th floor was impressive. We enjoyed participating in the family happy hour, breakfast was also pleasant and I really liked the egg omelette and coffee that I ordered. Additionally, the idea of having a cinema in the same hotel is great. I loved this hotel and I think I will go back. I don't want to finish without mentioning that the pool was also beautiful and I liked it a lot

I do not recommend. My family and I had to endure an incredibly uncomfortable situation while staying here. During our stay the people staying in the room next to us started making a ruckus (screaming, throwing things, fighting and even crying). It was around 3am when we called the lobby to issue a complaint and it took the staff around 20 minutes to do something about the situation. It was an incredibly scary experience and I do not recommend staying here unless you want to deal with drunk neighbors and a slow staff.

There's nothing to say about this place. Everything is up to Hilton standard. The only thing is the way to the hotel is super confusing! The entrance to underground parking is on the side of the hotel off the main road and the sideroad is a one way street.

Issue with the hot water and water pressure. Great customer service, excellent breakfast but didn't have water working during my entire stay.

I stayed a while ago with my boyfriend, we were on floor 🤔🤔 I don't remember well but it was one of the highest. The windows were very foggy, you could hardly see the view outside...the pool was dirty, it seems like they don't give it much maintenance. I liked the breakfast. The staff treated me very courteous and friendly…
