    Didn't tell us in advance that the pool was having maintenance. It's the only area to relax in the hotel, the rooms are small with a view of the blue mall roof and interconnecting ones have no sound insulation! Overrated in every respect, the Intercontinental is much better. Will not stay here again.

    I made a reservation to stay at the hotel and unfortunately had to cancel within hours. I contacted the hotel and the super arrogant hotel staff responded to me with a nasty email explaining me why they will still charge my credit card. I will never stay at this hotel taking into account that the staff is not customer service oriented and they don't even consider your loyalty to the Marriott Bonvoy rewards program. The arrogant and un-professional hotel management will not see me there for sure, I can't believe they are so desperate for a couple of hundred dollars instead of earning my constant loyalty. Sad.

    The administration of this hotel is very unfair and rude to Dominicans like myself. Days prior and the morning of my booking, I called to request rooms on the higher floors and away from the noise. Yet, they placed us on their lowest floor directly across construction. It's really a shame that having a nearly empty hotel they found it necessary to humiliate us by giving us the exact opposite of what was requested very politely and with plenty of notice. Also, my total for 2 rooms turned out to be 4 times the amount suggested by the completed reservation on Marriott's website. Be aware of bait and switch tactics from this staff and from their suspicious 18% taxes and local 10% resort fee. It's very upsetting, to say the least, to start a vacation in this way with absolutely not regard from their management. I recommend you spend your time and money elsewhere and save yourself the headache of dealing with the unpleasant staff. Although, you might be ok if you are white 😉

    The best hotel in Santo Domingo. If you are looking for a five star experience, this is the only one you will find the hotel is very nice, and the bars downstairs are really good. you’re very close to shopping and hundreds of restaurants.

    Clean,well located. Pretty views. This is an oceanfront property. The breakfasts were great. Love the gelato and coffee shop. The Spa was fantastic. Very relaxing, tropical and lovely.

    Safe center city hotel. Clean rooms and common areas. Built into the Blue mall shopping center. The mall offers good food, movies, and high end retail. The hotel and mall are secure pleasant locations. The service at the hotel is very good. There is a supermarket across the street from the Hotel. I would recommend this place for an in city stay in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic.

    I had an amazing experience at this JW Marriott, the best part was the service. Everyone was very friendly, attentive and respectful. The first person to receive me was Bonifacio one of the butlers, his amiability, personality and respect stood out and made me feel at home since I stepped in. The people at the reception, Belkis at the restaurant, Agripina my house keeper always happy and so friendly, Julio another of the butler and the guys that are at night at the bar (Sorry forgot their names) they where so respectful, willing to help and provided excellent attention and service and many other people that I interacted with. Thank you for making out stay a great experience. We will definitely go back. The pool area needs a bit more maintenance.

    Let me tell you something... This hotel is the shyt!!! I didn't stay here, but they have an awesome hotel. On the roof, they have a very nice pool/lounge area with a bar. Has a nice view and vibe. Even if you are not a resident of the hotel, you can go enjoy the pool, if you are dining and ordering drinks from the bar. It is worth it. Nice upscale vibe.

    This hotel was recommended to me and it was the worst decision I ever made , on my first day day my family and I ate at the restaurant in the hotel not only was the food awful the waitress who was actually very nice ended up charging my room and also taking the cash so she basically stole from us and I immediately went to the loby to report that I got charged which I was told it must’ve been a mistake and it would get taken care of it’s been a month and I am still disputing the charge I’ve spoken numerous time with AURA ESCOTO who tried to cover it up further saying I should check other transactions like if i didn’t only stay at the hotel for 2 days more like one and a half because I left at noon the next day so I know every transaction I made it’s so disgusting that this even happens to turist and the pool needs maintenance will never go back I could only imagine all the people they’ve stole from before and they didn’t notice

    Absolutely fantastic experience. A+ staff. LOVE THE RESTAURANT. Romantic, Fantastic, Superb. I've now went multiple times and they ALWAYS give great service, excellent food. Can't speak highly enough off this location, the views, and staff. World class!

    I had a great experience at JW. The lobby has a great portrait of a aircraft cockpit. I am a pilot so I loved it. The pool is unbelievable. Churchill avenue is incredible, it has everything.

    Make sure to use HoteITully.ᴄᴏm when booking a place. They compare hundreds of booking websites and typically will have rooms much cheaper than others! Thank me later! This hotel is the best rated in the area. I have been coming here for a very long time. If you stay for a few days you for sure will love it I'm sure! Modern hotel in the city center, next to a large shopping mall having all international brands, luxury included. The rooms are large and comfortable, service is very good, and there is a large choice of dining options. It is expensive as expected but you pay for the best hotel in town.

    One of the best experiences in a Marriott hotel. The service from everyone was excellent: Front Desk, restaurant, room cleaning, room service, bell boys and the guys helping with transportation. Our Master Suite on the 19th floor was very comfortable and with a nice view much better than expected. Breakfast buffet was delicious with an excellent variety. We felt safe and relax and definitely enjoyed our stay.

    The hotel is located in the comercial zone, where many wealthy families live, it is adjacent to Blue Mall. Rooms are spacious. The lobby is located in the 6th floor, where you can also find the restaurants, pool and a health center. Currently they do not have the business lounge open. The kitchen is part of the dinning room, with grills and huge air extractors, which leaves the dining area free of cooking smell. The food is very good.

    The staff is absolutely amazing. Very attentive to your every need, answering questions honestly about cost versus benefits for things like taxi v. Uber. The housekeeping is out of this world, capturing every opportunity to turndown bedding, bring chocolates and extra waters & coffee. The only feature I am not 100% pleased is price of food. There are two charges that persist across in-room & in-restaurant dining: 10% & 18% charges on top of posted menu items cost. This makes a $20 (usd) cheeseburger cost $25.60, add a glass bottle of water $13 becomes $16.64.

    Excellent stay, service is spectacular, staff members are ALL friendly and polite. Language is not a barrier. All areas are clean and well kept. Easy access to the Blue Mall. Great views. Belkis is so nice and friendly. I will definitely bring my family to this hotel. Note: felt comfortable and safe.

    I recently stayed at the JW Marriott Hotel, and I was truly impressed by the exceptional service, top-notch amenities, and the captivating atmosphere. A special shoutout to Luis Tejada, who consistently ensures that my visits are seamless and enjoyable.     My recently experience with this Wonderfull place was for me unforgettable This Hotel make me in my lovely wife feel like never before, they are so helper, friendly, truly, the only thing I need to add its I wish them the best in life in order that they can continue make people life more happy in important. That location for us was like a paradise. for the last 4 years we stay at least one week every year in every time the services its better and better. This is just fews staff responsible for our review: Bonifacio, Patricia, Maria Paula, Rafaela, Tanya and the Housekeeper Maria. May God Bless all of them.     Don't forget to use HᴏtelDully. ᴄᴏm when booking a resort. This web site will compare thousands of booking web sites and usually will have rates much cheaper than others! Thank me later! This place is one of the highest rated in this area. I have been coming here for a long time. If you choose this place you won't regret it.     Remember to use Hᴏᴛᴇʟʙᴜʟʟʏ.ᴄᴏᴍ when booking a resort. This website will compare hundreds of booking web sites and normally will have rooms much cheaper compared to others! Thank me later! This resort is one of the most well known in the area. I've been coming here for a long time. If you stay for a few days you for sure will love it I'm sure! Great customer service, very clean and comfortable room, and you can’t beat the location! We got married at this hotel because we had a lot of family coming to the area and we wanted everyone to be in one place as the traffic in the city is horrible at best. The initial introduction to the wedding and celebration rooms was done very well and the woman who showed us around was very attentive and asked us a lot of questions for what we had in mind. We were also given an opportunity to have a 'taste test' of our selected menu about one week before the wedding and the meal and deserts on offer were small >but< very rich and delicious! The hotel worked close with our wedding planner and we found nothing to be disappointed with for our wedding day! Everything went smoothly, the decorations were wonderful, and we had a wonderful time! The two rooms that we stayed in, standard and junior executive, were both amazing and well cared for. I loved having a Nesspresso coffee machine in the room and free coffee pods! Regrettably I forgot to take pictures of the rooms!

    Very good hotel, very nice staff, nice food, nice drinks. There is a mall connected to the hotel and a huge supermarket right across the street, which makes life easier. I recommend it.

    Our stay here was amazinggggg. We had the best time despite not getting the early check in we were granted. Everybody was amazing, however one employee stood out more than the rest. I had to pass on a message to the manager about the excellent service provided by Abreu! He went above and beyond to find my headphone case this morning. We asked multiple people at the front desk and everybody said they didn’t see it. He found it in the gym where I had left it this morning. His customer service skills are excellent! He made this one of the best stays I’ve had in a while. I’m so great full for his dedication for something that many other people would have over looked for being so small and insignificant. Thank you Abreu!

    Gorgeous hotel, worthy of the JW brand. Incredible staff, particularly Ramon in the lounge on the 20th floor. Ramon is attentive, kind and provided outstanding service. Kudos to Marriott to have such a valuable employee.

    Staff is outstanding!!! Had an issue with my reservation and they were able to get it fixed immediately! I am very pleased. The hotel is very nice and modern. Spotless and room was perfect! So far, I can say that I am extremely pleased! Oh, and... the hotel's lower level attaches to a mall! Haven't checked the mall out yet, but it will probably prove very convenient! Planning a two week stay here.

    Beautiful hotel with clean rooms, a luxury mall attached, and 5 star customer service between the front desk, restaurant, and housekeeping! I would recommend this hotel to any one visiting Santo Domingo. I felt very safe and taken care of the whole trip. The staff was very helpful in planning birthday surprises and excursions. Yohairy went above and beyond to make our stay and trip special. Thank you!!!

    Being threatened with physical violence by this property was certainly a first as an ambassador member. Problems start from the top, Yudit has a lot to answer for. And Natanyi Cabrera has a lot to answer for, zero customer service skills!

    If I had to briefly describe my stay and the hotel, I would describe it as the Wild Wild West… I have never been to a Marriott International property that was so inconsistent with the values and standards of the brand; and for an average of $300+ USD per night for a business trip, I couldn't be more disheartened. Let me briefly start by stating that entry into the Dominican Republic does not require proof of vaccination or a negative COVID test. They “randomly” according to their government website will pull people as they arrive for testing; they also rely on travelers to self-report if they have any symptoms. Therefore, as international business travelers we rely on international companies and brands such as Marriott International and the JW Marriott to provide a consistent level of service to keep us safe. Marriott indicates that “For Caribbean and Latin America, face coverings are required for guests and associates in all indoor public areas.” The Dominican Republic government also states that masks be worn inside at all times unless actively eating or drinking. Unfortunately at the JW Marriott Santo Domingo the guests safety is not their priority. They allow anyone to do whatever they want, they are not enforcing any local laws nor any Marriott commitment to clean standards related to face coverings; the first line of defense against COVID. Which is quite scary because this property is NOT taking COVID SERIOUSLY and they are exposing us as guests to a potentially dangerous situation. The carelessness of this properly is quite shocking. Numerous times I came across or crossed paths with multiple people not wearing masks…be in the elevator with me, hallways, lobby or even at the gym. Mind you that 90% of the times that I came across those individuals without face coverings, employees were present and NO ONE enforced any of the masks mandate. So as a guest you are left with 3 options: 1. Risk engaging in a potentially combative interaction with a stranger (because the hotel is not doing their job) 2. Excuse yourself from the area (i.e. elevator or gym); which is quite ridiculous. 3. Risk yourself with exposure and potentially getting sick by not doing anything. This hotel in particular does not only not respect its own governments laws, but they also don’t care about the Marriott commitment to clean standards or even respect us as individual guests. They clearly do not care about our safety. Why is this a big deal? Because even vaccinated you can contract COVID. Which in turn means that you could test positive for COVID and as an American citizen…would be unable to fly back home as the USA requires a negative test for entry. This property does not embrace the Marriott Corporate nor the JW Marriott brand core values. This property is actually HURTING the JW Marriott brand and name. This property is POORLY managed. The cherry on the ice cream of this disastrous overall experience was my last evening of my stay. At 21:30ish I started to hear a “whomps whomps whomps whomps” and it caught me off guard. I tried to dismiss it and go to sleep but unfortunately it just wouldn't stop and because of the vibration the noise was literally traveling through the walls and through the bed (as it touches the wall). 23:15ish arrives and I am still unable to sleep…contact the front desk and the response was a quick and short “there is a wedding and there is nothing I can do…”. I was floored at the response! The “whomps whomps” didn’t stop until 1:15 AM and as one can imagine I was not able to fall asleep much later than that. Needless to say my entire next morning was far from a desirable outcome. I couldn’t be more frustrated, annoyed and bothered by my stay. As a business traveler we choose and stay at high end properties for the purpose of no matter where in the world and no matter how different the culture there is consistency in the stay. There is the discipline to follow and represent a brand such as the JW Marriott and all that comes with it; service, quality, luxury, respect and all of its protocols.

    Loud music until after 2 am on a Tuesday night, so not sure how anybody was able sleep. Called front desk. But nothing was done. Otherwise nice place.

    I wen to the bar only but the place is awesome Cause have open air space when you can feel the wind in a very hot city and have a crystal floor wich allow to view to the street, that create unique experience and you can have very nice conversation, the bathroom for boys always have issue to drain in the bar área, but the decoration is unique and have some room for party. The bar have very big drinks. To offer and lot of wine type.

    Impecable service, spotless clean and great amenities. Great breakfast with to go option if needed. Very friendly staff from the bus boy to the bartenders on the lobby, highly recommend. The rooftop 24 hours Pool is something not to miss. Above the Blue Mall you have many options to shop and I tried Spices and Shibuya and both restaurants were amazing.
