There were lights in the room but none of them worked. There was a no smoking sign in the room, but it still smelled terrible. After traveling around the country for a few days I had become accustomed to phenomenal customer service this was not the case at hotel discovery. I told the person at the desk that there was no light in my room and she seemed to completely dismiss me. In the end I left my stuff there and stayed in an apartment that was periodically flooded and the toilet didn’t work, which felt like a massive step up from hotel discovery

Have to bring your own towels only 1 per room . I guess if you have a guest can swim in ocean for shower. Room small but comfortable. Lack of power outlets. Quiet, great tv channels, has an elevator. Resteraunt is more like a small kitchen hard get breakfast with only 1 person working there. Airbnb pictures don't match the rooms, not as nice.

Nice place to stay if you want to experience the real Santos Domingo and not resorts in the Dominican Republic. Staff are very good people but not always in a good mood. Be careful going out especially at night. Womens should not be going out alone or walk alone around the area. Internet needs improvement. Rooms are clean daily, just outdated but comfortable. Stay safe.

We had no choice, because it was 2am and the hotel we reserved didn't hold our room despite us telling them about our late arrival and them taking a card deposit. But this is about Hotel Discovery. We paid more for a room for 3, because that's all they had. The room was tiny and old and has a teeny bathroom where you have to sit sideways on the toilet. Cockroaches were on the second bed. The pillows are a joke. No top sheet. Internet only works in the reception area. And there was a considerable amount of standing water on the floor near the door. The discoveries that were made, I can do without!

Had to rooms 4 people no breakfast no hot water in rooms The staff was nice. We was put into this hotel because our other hotel had people stay over because they could not get on a plane to go home because of weather problem it was just to help out them that we stayed in this hotel. Otherwise it's not for us.

Wir können leider, außer der Lage vom Hotel, nichts positives berichten. Wir haben ein Superior Doppelzimmer mit Stadtblick gebucht. Also nicht die günstigste Kategorie. Der Blick aus dem Fenster war mit schweren Gardinen abgehangen, da das Fenster zum Gang ging. Dementsprechend laut war es natürlich, wenn sich jemand im Flur aufhielt. Die ganze Zeit wurde an der Außentür geklingelt, wenn kein Mitarbeiter an der Rezeption saß. Somit auch die ganze Nacht. Zu guter Letzt ging ein Mitarbeiter von Zimmer zu Zimmer und suchte einen Fahrer der wohl falsch geparkt hatte. Bei uns war er gg 23.30 Uhr und klopfte Sturm. Die Suche ging über eine halbe Stunde. In jedem Stock. Handtücher bekamen wir um 18 Uhr, nachdem wir 3x nachfragt haben. Die Antwort war, die Wäsche ist noch nicht fertig. Die Klospülung funktioniert ebenfalls nicht. Ein Foto erspar ich euch. Wir sollten die Toilette auf Stock 4 benutzen. Wir waren in Stock 2. Was anderes könnten sie uns nicht anbieten. Die Dusche war scharfkantig durch gebrochene Fliesen und der Hahn lag abgebrochen in der Dusche. Zum Frühstück braucht man ein Ticket. Das war allerdings nicht vorbereitet. So standen wir wieder an der Rezeption und warteten auf das Ticket. Frühstück besteht aus Kaffee, 1 Toast mit Schinken, Ei und Käse. Am nächsten Tag hatten wir Stiche um die Knöchel. Wahrscheinlich Bettwanzen. Mitarbeiter sind dennoch bemüht. Die Lage ist gut, aber sucht euch besser ein anderes Hotel.

Renso, Joan, Flaco, and the rest of the staff whom I can't remember there names at this moment. Super nice & attentive. Definitely recommend this hotel.

Well, it's not a place to spend many nights in. It's better to take noise cancelling ear plugs with you. On one side of the hotel people sell fruits and chips right across the street and they are very loud 'til very late at night. Room was okay. Toilet was kind of loud too but I let them know about it.

It was the worst place we have ever been. If someone has claustrophobia should not go to this place. In the first look the Room looks worst than from the horror movie- small , dark and dirty. So, Door - if you want go out you have to slam the door very hard a fee times , it was so enoying Bed - the bed sheet was not clean I think it was not change after last guest. The bed sheet was so old and torn Room - was small and dirty TV - we could not use it because the remote control was not working we ask for another one they said that can not do anything or we can change the room but have to pay extra money Electrical socket - there were two which we could not use because was behaid the bed, one more was very high and could not plug anything and one more was in the bathroom Fridge - we ask if in the place in any fridge because we wanted put food into it. The reception lady said that they will bring a small one to our place - it never happened Brekfast - we paid extra for brekfast but did not have it because we run away from this place early morning - could not stay there anylonger In the pictures room looks nice but probably the pictures was taken years ago. If it was a list of the worst places in the word this place would be on the top

I have stayed here for one night. Small room without working lights or air conditioning. The breakfast options are limited, and only for one person, even if you travel as a couple you get only one coffee and juice and sandwich. Wi-Fi did not worked at all. It's stuffy air inside the room.

The hotel is at a corner where there’s tourists in the area, the hotel had homeless people hanging around the front door, the room are small and the a/c was not cold it just kept to room refresh. The room look like more a motel.

I had a wonderful stay at the Discovery. Very clean rooms, quiet and cozy. Perfect location, near shops, restaurants, clubs and sights. Very friendly staff always with a smile on their faces and willing to assist and answer any questions. I really enjoyed chilling out at the pool. I would definitively recommend it .

Very convenient location with parking and a small rooftop pool. The staff was exceptional. The lady who made my breakfast, Mari, is an authentic Venezuelan cook.
