👍👍 This is an awesome Oasis in the middle of busy Santo Domingo! It's owned by a Dominican Family and has all the charm one could possibly imagine. This is an awesome Oasis in the middle of busy Santo Domingo! It's owned by a Dominican Family and has all the charm one could possibly imagine. Great, clean and generous rooms with beautiful large bathrooms to make this place a brief home away from home. A Dominican style breakfast is included and is beautiful, tasty, and generous. You can also order Dominican Takeout food from a well-known local restaurant called Adrian. The service charge is only 200 pesos ($4). There is a fridge in every room, and there is also a close by supermarket for anything you could need. There is a courtyard in the back with some outside tables to sit/eat and outdoor furniture with umbrellas to relax by the pool. The side walls are completely green giving this the character of a hideaway. Great place to stay, a little gem. Look at the pictures and you fall in love with it. I have stayed here now three times including a 16 day stay. The hotel has expanded its rooms

It is close located to a metro station and the area is easy to walk around, also you can walk to the city center. Staff is very friendly and helping with everything you need. Across the street there is a good restaurant to eat. Breakfast in hotel is perfect to start your day with. Shower has good pressure and warm water and WiFi is working well. We stayed here for 1 night

This is a small family owned and run hotel. Very clean rooms, and comfy beds. Everyone was kind and very attentive to all of our needs. Breakfast was homemade with lots of choices. We left feeling spoiled and happy. Thank you Mauad hotel!

Nice hotel and very friendly staff but don’t believe in every picture you see or every statement you read. Very nice “hot tub” with cold water (not a complaint in this hot climate). There was no swimming pool. I guess they are expanding the hotel where the swimming pool used to be. There is also no dedicated parking. We parked on the street right in front of the hotel and this area is monitored by security and apparently safe but nether the less we chose this hotel because there was supposed to be parking.

The staff is some of the most personal, and pleasant that you could ever meet! The breakfast is included with your stay, and is absolutely delicious! Great atmosphere, with a very at home feeling. The gentleman by the name of Louis is one of the kindest, and caring people you will ever meet, and the night shift staff is just as caring, and kind also. I encountered a very bad headache one night during my stay. I went down to the front desk about 2:30am to see if I could purchase something to ease my pain. The young gentleman at the front desk recognized my problem, told me to return to my room, and that he would bring me something to help ease my pain. About 5 minutes later there was a knock at my door with some aspirin, a bottled water, and a well wish that I would feel batter. I took the pain reliever, and slept the remainder of the night. The only negative of all is the comfort of the beds and pillows need to be much better. Overall, great place to stay!

Rooms are so tiny- there’s not even enough space for a standard size luggage. Bedding is not comfortable at all (and, of course, rather small as well). The pool is not functional and neither was the gym. On the brighter side of things: personnel was super friendly and helpful, breakfast was delicious and the location of the hotel is good. They also have a kind of cool jacuzzi on the roof, which can accommodate at least 6 to 8 guests I guess. This being said, the hotel is on the same price range as the major hotel chains (Sheraton, Crowne, …) and I fail to see what is his added value, even for us, who came to see more local places and avoid big chains. Would not recommend - might be better when their renovations are over.

There was nothing to complain about the stay. From the reception ,maids ,security and everyone made you. welcome .The staff are very professional and always willing to assist. There is also a very reliable taxi driver ,his name is Abad ,he is the man.where every you want to go in the busy city Abad is the man. Need to go to the club he has your back.I will recommend this hotel and taxi driver Abad to any one going to Santo Domingo on vacation or short stay.

Looks really cool on the outside. It looks like a castle. The rooms are really small though. The front desk will help you get whatever you need. Just tip them.

Should be 0 starts actually. What an appalling customer service. I’m travelling abroad on a different continent and they call me on WhatsApp saying they won’t be able to host me tonight and suggest I make another reservation with a different hotel. ON MY OWN. No assistance with anything. Seriously, avoid at all cost unless you want to waste hours of your precious holiday time to find another place just because they run into issues. 👎🏻👎🏻👎🏻

Since moving overseas many years ago I wanted to spend a night in my old neighborhood and booked a night at Mauad. It is a stylish, boutique hotel and quite affordable. The hotel is a converted casona and while the rooms are not big (again, it's boutique hotel) but they are very clean, the AC is strong and the complimentary breakfast is some of the best I've had. The best part is the staff and their customer service: Don Luis and Felipe were beyond nice and did everything to make us feel welcome. Highly recommended!

It was a great experience!!!! They even offered the champagne for my birthday!!!! I really loved it!!! The staff, the pool, the bed and of course the breakfast. The location is also good since it's at 1 minute from the Malecon and Adrian Tropical. It was a good choice. I would recommend it to everybody
