GREAT LOCATION and good/standard service. The two ladies at the reception treated us always with a smile. Unfortunately, NO DOGS ALLOWED! Rooms on the ground floor have no windows. The one we got was TINY. It had no space for a bedside table near a king-size bed. lol. Toilet is packed. The good thing is that you can poop, wash your teeth and shower all at once. WiFi is unreliable. It used to work bad. It doesn't work anymore. They used to provide whatever bottles at the rings. Now a days, there's not even soap on the toilet. NO ELEVATOR for the upper level. The hotel is getting worse as prices go higher. I feel that I'll stop being a recurrent client soon.

The location is of course very central of the zone. The cheapest rooms like one in got had no window, no night table, bare walls, so if felt cave like? Still nice people working, very clean. I was bit conecerned with a crack in a corner area of the room. Especially after what happened in Miami Beach a year ago. Breakfast is not inscluded but can be prepurchaed (with front desk) and is quite good with several choices with juice and coffee as well. Just enough for me. By the way its at a resturant on the plaza just 1 min away at the park not in the hotel, but for me felt better, I could people watch. Water pressure was ok, one day i had little pressure and no hot? So I mentioned it to front desk. While it could not be solved for me at the moment he mentioned it was an odd mistake by manintence guy when switching from city to in house pressure and made me feel like he did look into it, and bothered to tell me. And it never happened again, that is good service! So at the park , which is literaly on the corner, there are many options to do and see of the area not least of which a tram that tours and explains area. I do wnat to send a "shout out " to Willy. Willy was a very knowledgable street tour sales guy? but he goes with you, knows all the data... more than you can swallow and can walk you around or take you to various places to tour and take pics. We did a quick Boca Chica beach run (2 hrs) and then a few local monument and natural sites (tres ojos). If you ve been to Tres Ojos ... sorry to tell you "Tarzan" is no longer there. He had an accident and can no longer dive in those caves like he did. Tourist enjoyed his antics for like 30 yrs before. I got to see him 15 yrs ago and he was no young guy then either. Back to the hotel its lobby is cute, its decor is nice, except for the lack of any in my room. The other thing is my room needed a second light of some sort Either I had the center room cieling light ( very bright ) good for finding thing when dropped or dark unless you have TV on. It needs maybe night table (if it get a table) light or floor lamp ? anything to not feel like a cave. Another thing, my room didnt have a phone? not sure if that a new trend. But if I have a question for front desk have to walk over there.... course for me it was ok.. I was on the first floor down the hall. Shout out to Nitis front desk lady was very clear and consise. The area has some great street entertainment too!

The front desk are very nice. But I felt cheated with the room. They presented in picture like a big room. The bathrooms are awfully smalls and we were 4 people in that tiny room and just gave us 2 towels

Great location. Don't stay in rooms on the lobby floor, you can hear everything and everyone.

I love this hotel because its conveniently located in Santo Domingo within walking distance to La Zona Colonial. The price is reasonable for being in La Zona Colonial.

This is NOT a hostel. It’s actually a hotel. A good one at that. Stumbled on this spot as I was looking for a place to stay in the Colonial Zone. I’m glad I found it. I was originally going to stay for 2 nights but ended up extending it to 5. Doesn’t have the amenities of a 5-star but had what I needed. Rooms are clean. Cold AC. Bed was comfortable. Small fridge with complimentary water bottles. Rates are low. It’s located close to all the action but far enough from the noise. Loved waking up in the mornings and sitting in the common area and balcony on my floor (3rd). Only complaint I have is bathrooms were a little small. Other than that a great love to stay for a very reasonable price ($69 p/n).

So far , an excellent place to stay. Excellent service, room was very clean. Great location, right in the center of everything in la Zona Colonial. For the price, I would recommend this place. Definitely my "go-to" place whenever staying in the area.

PROS: We took a two queen size bed room for three people located at the end of the hall on the 4th floor. The hotel was very centrally located in the Colonial Zone which was great as it's 30 seconds away from all the restaurants. Despite being located in the hustle and bustle of the city, there was no noise from the outside and we got a good night of rest. The beds were comfy. Each floor also had a nice communal sitting area and balcony. They also offered coffee and tea downstairs in the lobby. CONS: The wifi wasn't working in our room though it seemed ok in the downstairs lobby. The bathroom was extremely small, especially the shower, so it would be difficult if you are a larger person as I am small and even I had trouble taking a shower in the cramped space. There is no elevator so if you have heavy luggage, you'll be lugging it up the stairs (although the personnel offer to help you of course). There is no remote control for the TV.

The room was ok the bed and A/C worked. The bathroom was tiny couldn't shower without getting the shower curtain stuck to my body. The hot water didn't work. I called the front desk and they said they would turn it on for me. After my cold shower I told the front desk that the water never got hot, he gave me this BS answer that he shower after I called and it was hot. As if I made the story up. So, I do not recommend this hotel because they would tell you anything even BS and the shower is the size of moving box. This place is definitely not worth 60 dollars US.

Roaches No remote remote for the tv Mold in the bathroom and is not properly maintained. Main Desk does not provide the necessary info to guest. Employee Miladys Jimenez does not know the full name of the manager. From one to ten, this hotel gets 0. Please stay away from this property, you will thank me latter. There's no way to turn off the lights from bed. Really is very bad maintained property.

If you want to scape the heat, this is the best place to stay, it's very cool inside and it has a good location, everything you need at a walking distance. Really liked this place and definitely will be coming back.
