Review for the Buffet ONLY: We were taken there by a tour guide like most people. Unfortunately, it was extremely cramped due to a cruise or resort tour. The food is OK, not bad. Quite ordinary with the usual salad and vegetables, soup, pasta, fish and chicken, etc. However, expensive for what it is but good service.

Restaurant Saint Nicolas is located very close to the city centre. It offers meals at great prices and wide variety of delicious food. Food served here is mostly buffet and if you're travelling in a group, then this is surely the place you can't miss out to have your lovely lunch and dinner. They serve complimentary house wine and the place is spacious and neat & clean. The staff is very courteous and welcoming. This place caters food to children with special sitting arrangements.

Worst food...do not eat here.. Ordered a fish which was dry, pasta was bland. I was taken here by a tour guide. DO NOT COME here..

Excellent facilities

Food was okay, service was excellent but overall overpriced for tipical Dominican food. Approx cost for the buffet 720 pesos per person. Wouldn't recommend. Also they we're in on the scam being ran with my "tour guide" ie he got a cut.

Great authentic cuisine

[Restaurant only] Not great food, and not great service. There were only about 8 items in the buffet, and all were overcooked. The chicken was inedible. It took 4 attempts to order a beer. Why? I discovered when I marched to the bar that they had run out! I saw my two beers get pulled out of a shopping bag that had just arrived!! The place looks ok - they use old vinyl LPs for table mats. Maybe we caught it on a bad day - although it wasn't busy, and locals were sat there. But overall, disappointing, considering it came recommended by a local.
