This place is utterly retarded. If you end up in this place you are completely wasting your night and missing out on the real Santo Domingo experience. Let me explain. No one I know has any idea how this place has stayed in business for so long. Even if it is the only place open at certain times of the night, it's totally not worth and almost always filled with terrible people. There are so many alternatives to end your night. Don't go here. And if you actually go there, don't think that because the place looks and feels like a slum it is cheap because it's not. It's actually more expensive than some of the top bars in the DR. Don't waste your time. Make the most of your night.

La Resistencia is a clandestine bar. Its facade is not obvious and you only end there because someone took you. It looks like a regular house on the outside, but inside it is a cozy bar, perfect refugee for already drunk people who want to do the morning drinking. Call me crazy but I love it. I usually leave before 3am.

Over priced. Always check your bill here. Tried to charge a friend of mine $50(USD) for 2 shots of tequila(Jose Cuervo )

However, considering the late-night hours of operation, this can be somewhat normalized by reminding oneself that it's usually a time reserved for sleep. One should be prepared for a leisurely service speed and exercise patience during their visit. It is also advisable to pay with exact cash. Be aware that if you choose to pay by card, an additional "tax" fee, approximately 28%, will be added to your bill. Furthermore, If you opt to pay with larger bills, anticipate a delay while waiting for your change, that is if you keep claiming it, otherwise you're just going to lose it. The combination of these factors makes exact cash payment the most straightforward option.

I used to love this place until they charged me 11 drinks when I only had 4. Plus, they were saying that my card was not working and I checked my bank account they charged me for the drinks. They sent someone outside to get the money with me but I rejected to give no money because I saw they already charged me. Be careful with this bar, it is expensive and please go with cash.

Really cool little bar. We got here at about 1am Monday morning (late Sunday night). We wouldn’t have found it except that we could hear music coming from what looked like a first floor apartment. We we rang the doorbell and we were let in to this amazing place. Very low key vibe with someone using YouTube to DJ from the bar.

It's a house!!! You want to have fun after everything is closed? This is your place, this is a fun, funky, kind of bohemian house packed with stranger (you know... they are not your friends the ones you went with) that like to dance, drink and have a fun, sexy (yes sexy) and boho time at a HOUSE, it has some rooms that you can rent for a private get toguether but in general a very cool place to be after AFTER dark.

Overcharged when paying with cc (credit card ) the service is very rude to customers. Did not enjoy my time despite the fact that the bar is a nice house with different room representing regions of the world. They could improve these conditions to make it better.

Had a great time but almost got pickpocketed...be careful.

It's the only bar that opens till sunrise it's normally crowded and fun after midnight, (beer,water and soda) a little expensive but cocktails and other drinks are at a regular bar price. If you wanna keep drinking in Zona Colonial this is the place after 3AM(all other places closes but this one not), smokers area , a pole tube, there's no stereotypes in here not even for music.

If you want to get away from the world after everything shuts down, this is the place. Anything is allowed except to look at other groups or tables. They have a stripper pole and the music is not as loud as a usual club

La Resistencia is an after hours bar. It's a highly decorated house with ambient music. For me, it's not worth price. A beer is 300 percent over its mark price. But you the kind of person that don't want to home after almost all places have closed, then you might enjoy it.
