Staff was friendly and calm relaxing vibe but food wasn't great at all. I got the cabanara with chicken and penne pasta with a side of white rice and beans. Little to no chicken in the pasta. Menu says: "Did you find what you were looking for? If not, you can ask for other options and our chef will gladly create something just for you." ....that's not true. I asked if my chicken could be breaded or fried and the waitress told me no it only comes grilled. The rice tasted like sticky rice they use for sushi and the beans was a water stew. The taste overall was plain and not worth it. Didn't end up finishing my meal or taking it to go.

My first meal in the Dominican Republic, which was excellent. I had the hamburger and fries which were done right. Service was quick and professional. The staff was very friendly. Getting a good hamburger can be tough in both Central America and the Caribbean, this was one of the better ones. I sat at the bar and the staff was very welcoming.

Luna Tapas Bar & Restaurant is located within Renaissance Santo Domingo Jaragua Hotel & Casino. It offers a wide variety of tapas, a well as traditional Spanish dishes, seafood, and grilled meats. The atmosphere is welcoming, warm, and cozy. It is the perfect spot for a casual meal with friends or a romantic dinner for two.

We stayed for 3 days but we loved the hotel vibe Tons of pretty girls walking in and out. Very lively during the night. Hotel restaurant was a bit pricey but worth to visit at least once. I did enjoy my stay with my wife. We didn't visit the pool but it seem clean and empty. Friendly and help is everywhere when needed. I would come back.

Nice restaurant and nice decorations. It's actually a section of the lobby they divided, to create the restaurant. Many of the photos posted about the restaurant are misleading because it shows areas of the pool and some other areas of the hotel that you will not have access to. The food is good. The many have a good variety of salad and pasta but, lack of other main dishes. The ambient is good for a date. Nice clean and new restaurant. This restaurant is part of El Jaragua’s remodeling project. It's an elegant restaurant to go with your date. Totally recommend 👍.

Disappointed in reference to reviews I read. Seafood soup was 23 dollars American. Too salty and actual meat was very light portion. Salad was wilted lettuce. Order placed was not accurate.

Good choice to take a date 🌹. Delicious food and a very nice spot. I joined all you can eat it for sushi.

Professional and classy environment. Waitstaff is great. Food is pretty tasty. I would recommend during your stay at the Renaissance.

Lovely, casual restaurant & bar. Huge portions, friendly service and versatile menu. A mini loaf of crispy crust sourdough was delivered with seasoned butter. Delicious! The food was good - I ordered the beef bandera (carne de res guisado) but it lacked the flavor I am am accustomed to; it was a little bland. The presentation was very nice: avocado, guineo (sweet bananas), beans, white rice and stewed meat. Prices are very high, plus an additional 30% is added to the bill and of course you still want to tip your server…

Excellent service and food

We went there for lunch. The welcome was very friendly. The restaurant looks modern and clean. The food (I had the salad with fruit and gambas, my colleague a sandwich) was fresh and tasty. Unfortunately the (very friendly) service was extremely slow. It took an hour to get our food. Luckily it was a lunch break on a not so busy day, otherwise it wouldn't have been possible. Over all, I'd go there again as the food was good, but rather for dinner when I have enough time to wait for it.
