Best Spanish restaurant I had tried. Even though the servers cannot speak English, we used Google translate and communicated well. They are very friendly and patient (the google translate is not always accurate and we may have tried several time to understand each other). The reminded us that 3 cuisines is too much. The portion of food is definitely a lot. The Spanish seafood rice is a must try. Fantastic service and taste of food.

A classic in Santo Domingo. Excellent Spanish food mostly from the northern Spain with a Caribbean twist

AMAZING CUSTOMER SERVICE, FLAVOR AND PORTIONS! We had lunch here for my mother-in-law's birthday. The service and food was amazing and they brought her a cake with a candle along with an "orquesta" of employees singing a birthday song for her. It was a great experience!

Not great. Service was slow, i had to call the waiter after waiting 45 minutes. The food had no flavor. Ordered the arros con guandules, bacalao a la vizcaina and a steak. No flavor whatsoever. We barely ate it. This restaurant has declined tremendously. I will not visit again.

A Spanish restaurant founded in 1955. It's been a Dominican tradition for generations. Very high marks and a must in the city!

Very good Spanish Restaurant, they have seafood and the Spanish dessert I tasted the coconut 🥥 dessert is very good also the Frozen 🍋 lemonade is very good, they have a clean and nice restaurant, goods prices, good music, WiFi for the customers, The waitress are very professional. They have a Arcade music machine from the 1950. I definitely recommend this place.

I recently visited Vizcaya and I had a very good experience with the food, the ambient. The restaurant has a Spanish vibe, and it offers a variety of traditional Dominican and Spanish dishes to choose from. I went for lunch with a friend and I had a craving for pasta, so I ordered spaghetti bolognese, which was plenty. My only nitpick with the pasta was that it felt too greasy for my taste. My friend ordered a mofongo (mashed green plantains mixed with garlic and fried pork) and the texture was soft, which is not common but makes it easier to eat and digest, and it doesn't make you feel bloated when you finish eating it. My favorite part about the restaurany was the staff since it was very professional and fast. They pay attention to detail with the drinks and the food, and I didn't have to wait for an eternity or ask for anything twice. I know it may sound like a must, but here in the Dominican we don't necessarily see this as much as we'd like to. All in all, I had a great time considering restaurants are crowded during lunch breaks around that area. The food was good, the price is fair, the staff is well trained.

The place it's main attraction is the clásic decoration, food over all great prices and very tasty. The place need lights loos very dark and the paella 🥘 is the worst I ever taste. It is not a classic paella and the rice was soaked in water ( I tell the problem to one of the employees and he just told me "sometimes we made not so good paellas" and don't do anything about it). The other food and stew are great but paellas are the worse in Vizcaya.

Love the old style ambience and the food. Waiters are very attentive to all of your needs. It feels like your voting a family or friends house. Highly recommend the Chivo al pastor.

Great food, sort of vintage environment. Different areas where you can eat (all inside) and good service. Only complaint will be that for more than once I've been there while the bathrooms are having issues (not the nicest bathrooms ever either). I've been going there with my family since I was a kid so I'll forever love it, it's tradition at this point. If you like Spain plates specially, this is your place to go!

So I hear... “the oldest best restaurant in the country.“ From what I could taste, I gave it 5 stars because there aren’t any more available. And only then I found joy and respect in the old structure, and even started to justify their preference in preserving the antique feel of the place, as if it spoked of the years of expertise and pasion vivid in every fork or spoon. Amazing!
