We had a fantastic stay at the Crowne Plazai in Santo Domingo. Number one for us is cleanliness and they definitely were very clean. Number two is comfortable beds and clean comfy sheets. They had that too. We got the breakfast included and the options were great. However my favorite was the service, the hostess Indira was so friendly and our server Jose was amazing. It was a fantastic stay!

The service was great. Jose and Victor treated us each morning at breakfast like family. The on-site restaurant is great and the food is good. The pool has an incredible view. All the staff we encountered was very helpful and welcoming.

Jose was wonderful in the Nabu Restaurant. He ensured to use a translator application to maintain communications. The room was lovely and cozy. Hotel itself was very nice and relaxing pool area with a bar. Definitely recommend if you visit.

We were very impressed with their new hire, Jade. She made us feel welcome and treated us as if we were her longtime friends. Jade represents Dominican hospitality at its finest. Additionally, Maria, our housekeeper, was beyond helpful and kept the room immaculate. Victor at the restaurant made every breakfast feel like a party. These individuals made our stay sensational. I would hire them if they lived in the state.

Absolute amazing stay! Friendly staff who were incredibly warm and welcoming, clean modern room with a comfortable bed (had the BEST SLEEP on it) and devilishly delicious food. Breakfast was the highlight of my day and room service was divine. We had a mishap where we were locked out of our room (our bad, accidentally dead-bolted ourselves out) and maintenance team were there within 10 minutes, polite and swift. A million times would come back! You’ve made me a loyal fan of Santo Domingo Crowne Plaza.

This was by far the best hotel I’ve been to and it felt like home. At the restaurant Nabu, the servers, especially Jose and Victor, couldn’t do enough for us. From the minute we walked in, you were greeted with a smile. Every single person was super attentive and respectful. The room was immaculate. It's a beautiful hotel and the food at the restaurant is absolutely amazing. We will definitely be back next time we visit the DR. Thank Crowne Plaza for making our stay a memorable one.

We spent several weeks here at the Crown Plaza and found the service to be exceptional. The room was comfortable and well laid out.Breakfast was wonderful with Jose Manuel and Ambil providing excellent service ,always with a smile. Joe at the front desk was always accommodating. Definitely the place to stay.

The experience was wonderful!! The best part of the stay was the service at breakfast especially two workers. Jose Manuel and Victor were wonderful workers and always pleasant. Excellent location, spotless room with full ocean and pool view. I was welcomed by Anny at the reception. She was my first great impression about Crown Plaza Santo Domingo. Anny, thank you for your professionalism. Delicious international breakfast. I wish I remembered the barman's name at the lobby bar. He prepared top notch cocktails. Short 3 nights stay but I enjoyed every minute of it. Sure will come back again.

It was delightful to be there, people were so nice. And it was really good because almost our entire time in Republica Dominicana people have been so rude. So being here was a great time for us.

I've been here so many times before when I used to be V Centerario Hotel for conferences and meetings. This time, I came for an 8-day business trip to the DR and couldn't choose a better location and hotel. My room was comfortable, and everything was functional. The breakfast was the best, with plenty of options, tasty, and well presented. Jose Manuel and the rest of the team, hostess, and cookers were simply amazing! Overall, the best was the hotel staff! The morning views of the sunrise are unique!

Probably the best stay I've had in my life. Every single person was super attentive and respectful. From the reception desk, to the first floor bar, restaurant and roof top pool. It's a beautiful hotel and the food at the restaurant is absolutely top notch. Will definitely be back next time we visit the DR.

Jose did an incredible job serving us each morning at breakfast. He was always very friendly and cheerful. The hotel was very nice and very quick to service any needs that we had.

I traveled for a bday party and enjoyed the wonderful experience in the hotel. The restaurant everyone was very helpful, kind and excellent service especially Jose and Amar the chef. They went above and beyond and made sure I was well taken care of. I highly recommend this place and will be back in the new future.

Excellent service from front desk to pool to breakfast and dinner! Jose, Victor do a great job making you feel welcome each morning at the buffet. Location of hotel is great to visit Three Wyes, as well as the Colonial Zone.

Our stay was nice. The views of the ocean from our room were beautiful. The food from the restaurants is good. The gym has a good selection of equipment. The pool and jacuzzi are nice but the pool is a little cold in December. The biggest downside of the whole hotel is that they constantly play loud techno/dance “club” style music at the pool. People who are at a pool in DR during the day aren’t there to “party”. We’re there to relax. Music should match that vibe. At night that music might be appropriate but not all day long. All staff were very pleasant except the breakfast buffet chef. He was impatient and gave us the feeling that we were bothering him. All in all I liked the hotel and if they were to change the pool music I would definitely return

The reception staff were very helpful and friendly but they kept trying to sell me an upgrade to a better room. I had a tour of the room and the upgrade would have been nice but I declined due to a personal situation. The staff and Moises in particular were very nice. He was willing to throw in breakfast for two and the upgrade as well to an even better room.. but for the extra 40 USD plus a bunch of taxes and fees it might of been worth it considering not much is included at the property. In the end I chose the regular room it still had a decent view but I think with over 20 rooms available with balcony that they could have upgraded me to one of those rooms on a lower floor at least. The elevators are old a bit of a pain to use. Only certain elevators seem to go to certain floors. The pool area and bar at the pool and in the lobby were very nice. The jacuzzi was very pleasant I would probably go back to enjoy the jacuzzi again. The casino and breakfast restaurant looked great but I didn't use either. I like the small art gallery on the floor of the restaurant. Hotel is within walking distance of the theme park which is why I stayed as I was meeting friends for an event at the park I walked along the malecón and felt safe. I appreciated getting my two IHG gift welcome drinks. I felt like if by asking for my benefits I was asking to much. Most of the reception staff was very nice but there seemed to be a lack of communication between staff members at times.

Great hotel. Nice rooms that don’t smell like mildew (Dominica and Catalonia do), great breakfast (pay for it when you checkin), and fast wifi. This is my new go-to place when in Santo Domingo.

The hotel is in a central location and the staff are friendly however they have an unpublished (internal) policy to charge persons who are temporarily visiting your room $50 USD. Persons are not able to have private conversations with family members or Lawyers, etc.. in a private area. They enforce the policy carte blanche. if you plan on receiving family members or visitors temporarily I would suggest that this is considered and seek another hotel.

Food and Bars were outrageous 4.50 US for a can of Presidente Light 9.00 US for a Pina Colada no booze 20.00 US for buffet breakfast This may change cause no one drinks at the bar or eats at restaurant places are dead. 50.00 US if you want a friend to visit Pool is like in a parking lot no trees no cover from sun Left 3 days early checked in to the Barcello Hotel best move i ever made Staff is great though

My room was well furnished with high quality functional furniture. Shower was excellent. Desk staff and cleaning staff were excellent. They even followed up after check in with a text message to make sure everything was as it should be.

Traveled to Santo Domingo for a friends wedding. Originally booked an AirBnb and after a horrible experience there on day 1, we left and booked here. Ivan was great! Rooms were clean and comfortable, walking distance to restaurants, and fast taxi service available to anywhere we wanted to go. Staff was there to help with anything that you needed, and very friendly. We are leaving today after 4 nights here, and heading to Punta Cana for our long awaited honeymoon. We travel a lot and this was definitely one of the best hotel stays that I have had. When we return to DR, we will stay here again.

Great location near downtown and well maintained hotel. Pool, spa and sauna areas are really good. Food is delicious in its restaurant at 1st floor.

Worst service ever received by the front desk staffs. Our group showed up for check in on Saturday morning for two rooms at 1pm. The female staff said the rooms are not ready yet and to come back at 3pm, which is understandable since we were early. We came back at 3:05pm and the new staff named Elizabeth which much attitude, said the rooms are still not available and to wait in the lobby. We decided to wait and it's now 5pm and still the rooms are not ready! 5pm! We are tired from a long day of travel and need a shower so after a bit of complaining to the same staff named Elizabeth, who is not accommodating or helpful in anyway, she suddenly was able to find one room available. I asked her when the other room will be available because one room will not fit our whole group. Elizabeth said with more attitude, eyes rolling, and finger waving "I don't know. Maybe in 20 minutes I will call you." Very frustrated by now so I asked to talk to her supervisor. Elizabeth said her supervisor name Anny is very busy so she can't talk. It's now 5:30pm and we received no updates. We went back to the front desk and the supervisor Anny was there. Anny gave the same explanation that the rooms are not ready and to wait a little longer in the lobby. At this point I don't know if we'll even get our room. After 10 more minutes of back and forth painful dialogue Anny suddenly was able to find an available room. It is now 6pm! I don't know what to say anymore. We are tired. We need dinner. We need to shower and rest. What a joyful way to start vacation. Never again with Crowne Plaza Santo Domingo. Pictures of these not so wonderful staff. Please avoid them.

I have stayed at this hotel twice in the last year and the service has been amazing! The staff at the front desk are very helpful. The staff in the lobby are kind and ready to assist with anything. In the Nobu Restaurant, the waiters Jose and Victor are very attentive, kind and provide great service with anything I needed. The location is great and the views are spectacular. Highly recommend this place! 10/10 for me!

Nice drinks at the bar and wonderful breakfasts in the morning. Staff is attentive and becomes familiar with your likings during an extended stay. The omelette station cook was wonderful. Enjoyed the pool with views of the ocean, the hot tub was warm. The rooms are clean and service done quickly. LOVE THE GYM- happy to have 24/7 access and it was well kept. Would highly recommend and will be back. Will have to try the casino next time. Thank you!

jose was an amazing waiter. he was always checking to see if we needed anything and would make sure we were good. i was never disappointed with his service!! hands down one of the best waiters!!

Jose Manuel Camareo in the restaurant took exceptional care of me everyday. Always smiling and always helpful and quick to clear the tables and refill drinks. He made the atmosphere Happy every morning. The hostess at the door was also so sweet and helpful, the chef cooking omelettes and eggs was also fantastic. Maria My housekeeper did a great job every day.

Our server Daniela was very friendly and kind! We received prompt service and enjoyed our delicious treats in a relaxing atmosphere. I recommend Kaffeto to guests staying at the Crowne Plaza in Santo Domingo. All of the wait staff have been outstanding and so friendly during our stay!

Spent 3 weeks at this hotel and it was a great stay. The morning staff at restaurant was amazing! Jose Manuel, Ambil- what a great crew! They truly go out of their way to make you fell welcomed and at home. The front desk, Joe was very kind and helpful. The location is water front and you can see and hear the ocean. The pool area is very nice and nicely kept. The entire facility is very well kept and staff very helpful and friendly. Had a great stay here.
