It’s incredible that the housekeeping staff was the most friendly and educated team from the entire staff. The security staff were extremely rude and unprofessional. They discriminate you by your physical appearance and skin color. I stayed at the hotel for 14 days and every single time I entered the hotel I had a problem with the security. The rooms have a strong humidity smell. I was moved to another room but it also had a strong smell. The shower is a disaster. It doesn’t have curtains or a full slide door so, all the water spills outside the shower. I don’t recommend this hotel, look elsewhere in the capital.

This place is horrible, the only nice person there is the bartender, other than that, guest services are really bad, there is classicism based on what floor you stay, and for some reason they act like they are hiding something. The rooms are very outdated, I was directed to an occupied room and then to a habital room which was never changed despite the many times I asked about it. Overall this places is overated.

This hotel is very old and has not been updated - there is a really sharp and strong smell rising up from the carpets in the room. It’s hard for bathing suits etc to dry because the hotel is not well insulated and the humidity seeps in even when the window is closed. The gym and athletic facilities are great although a bit outdated. The pool is great and seemed updated - swim up pool is a plus. The staff is generally nice and helpful - especially at the lobby bar and pool, less so in the first floor restaurant. Their 20 pp breakfast seems like the scam and the buffet at the first floor restaurant was not good. They seem to have bands, live music and dancing on the weekend evenings at the lobby bar and that seemed nice if you’re interested in that kind of ambience.

Stinky rooms. Mold smell all over hallways. Furniture torn. Carpet filthy and stained. Mattress outdated. The worst experience ever. Will not recommend to anyone. This is barely a 2 star hotel that needs lots of renovation and maintenance. STAY AWAY

This hotel was billed as a luxury hotel but it's not. The rooms and hallways smelled disgusting. They advertised having a casino but came to find out upon arrival that it's been closed for close to a year. They were misleading with airport transfer, ended up paying $60 to random cab driver they sent for me. Carpet in the room was dirty and nasty. No attention to detail in their cleaning, mildew and grime all over bathroom areas. Furniture in the room was old outdated and once again nasty. Nice common areas, lobby, pool and gym is it. The rooms are not happening though

Rooms need refurbishment, 1 chair per room, old rugs, clogged sink, vanity mirror needed replacement, torn curtains, balcony door could not be locked, drawers did not close and no USB ports available. Lobby was infested with small and medium-sized cockroaches. Service at the front desk and the restaurant was excellent. If management addresses the above negative issues, it has a greater potential to become a hotel that will attract more customers willing to stay and return on their next trip.

Pretty nice room. Shower leaked. Bathroom ceiling leaked water droplets from somewhere, and the hotel seems a bit over priced. Still, my team of 13 people had a nice time here. Pool was great. Tennis courts, great. Restaurant, great, lobby, great!

Worst hotel experience I’ve ever had. The hotel smells very strongly like mold and humidity as soon as you walk in the door. The AC in the whole building went out multiple times a day. Our shower did not have pressure at all. Rooms are outdated, and falling apart. The gym, extremely dirty, our hands were literally black after using the equipment. We paid for the breakfast one morning and it was just not good. Service is not as hospitable as it usually is in this country. The front desk is no help at all, Always claim they will send someone to fix our issue and no one ever comes. At check out, they took forever to check us out because they had to call to confirm we didn’t consume anything from the mini fridge instead of just charging the credit card that’s on file. They ended up charging us $9 US dollars for water that costs .60 cents at the store. There is no casino. The only good service we received was from the lady at the bar on the 8th floor.

The Hotel is beautiful, Lobby amazing. Pool is nice with a lot of sport fields. Howevery, the hallway smell of mold as do the rooms. Mold smell all over bed and pillows. It was so bad I could not sleep. Furniture and Carpet were dated, and filthy. One of the worst room experiences I have ever had in what was suppose to be a 5 Star hotel. The buffet was strange in the way to food was left out to dry up and I did get sick on my way home. Can't say for sure it was the buffet but I think it was. Shame this place has potential but needs a complete overhaul.

This is a great place. I look forward to going there again. The staff from the reception to the housekeepers to the security is great. I thoroughly enjoyed myself there. The rates were very reasonable for the service that you get. The bartender is amazing, everyone has a great sense of humor and they do whatever they can to try to assist you with all of your needs. I love the place. I was used to going to Jaragua but their rates outpaced what I was looking to spend. This is a great hotel. I love it. The guys in the reception, were fantastic. I highly recommend it.

I chose to stay at this hotel to celebrate my birthday. No casino. Old stuffy room. Dirty furniture covers. Shower poorly made. Sent two dinner dishes back to kitchen. It had no flavor. Found a place nearby with good flavorful food. Politely Asked the hotel to for a microwave to warm up the leftovers. They dont have a microwave anywhere according to the staff. Disappointing experience to say the least

Good location and decent price. Great breakfast though very dated facilities. The staff is extremely rude to both locals and foreigners alike. Thsre is never a supervisor in sight and the owners, Palladium Group, have refocused their efforts on improving other locations. Mr. Brawnny Nova, late shift supervisor, has verbally assaulted guests which I have witnessed.

The room was straight up dirty ( room 436) Smell was bad… The walls were super dirty … The carpet is just deplorable! Full of black mold… The shower door keeps open up while showering allowing the water to get out, so get ready to hold it unless you might have to deal with the mess … There was just one person at the front desk so he couldn’t answer the phone… I have to go downstairs to report the issue… I was thinking of extending my stay but after my experience for tonight I think I can get a better place for the same value or at least a clean room … I was very disappointed because I stayed here a couple of years ago and it wasn’t as bad as it is now! Just awful!

I stayed in this hotel for about 10 days, and the only thing I can say is that the experience was very good and pleasant, the cleaning lady, Germanía, always made sure to keep my room clean, and also when we went to the pool everyone was very courteous, Specially Angel who always gave us good attention with a smile in his face. Thanks to the front desk team, they all are very friendly and kind, thanks Karina, Maria, Luisanny, and Mr. Tomás for the good service and attention provided. I will definitely stay at this hotel again on my next trip. thank you very much to all.

The rates were okay. However, the wait staff was not so friendly. The extra charge to enjoy the happy hour and views of the 8th floor was worth it.

This hotel looks like it had better days but, don't judge it by it's cover, come on in and enjoy it's glamorous old fashioned social areas. Staff is helpful and nice. Rooms are clean and spacey. Food is good. Free parking. Good location.

Great food and good service, but the humidity smell in the hotel rooms is horrible. I got home with a very disagreeable smell on me and my belongings. We had to wash all my clothes right away. I'm not sure about staying in that hotel again.

Went for the 20 U$ or $1100 pesos day pool pass on a Friday. Totally worth it. Drinks and food prices not bad. Will definitely do it again next time I’m in town. Highly recommend.

My stay has been a mayor disappointment of this place. Since the check in we have issue, first sent me to the wrong room, but this could happen to anyone, and they fixed right away. Then EVERY NIGHT after expending all day out the key card would stop working, I have to come down to get them reactivated. One of the lamps next to the bed had a short. Housekeepers did not have towers for two days in a row. And it took several calls and visits to the front desk to get the towels. Tonight is our last night and the AC was not working when we came in. The parking lot is always full because the hotel other activities, they do not care, I guess, if their guests find parking or not. A very frustrating first impression.

My room was infested with roaches. Very unfortunate. I stayed on the 4th floor. They moved me to another room on 4th floor. Also had roaches. That entire floor needs to be re-cleaned. They eventually moved me to the 3rd floor which was a lot better. But no one should have to deal with roaches crawling on the bed and walls. I killed 8 small roaches before I was eventually moved The receptionist also lied to me and said there were no more available rooms. When the workers came up and seen the roaches, they miraculously had rooms available to move me into. Besides the roaches, the people were nice and the place is big and spacious.

If you really want to have a nice time with your family or friends, I recommend you to visit this hotel. If you are in the Lobby Bar, ask for Katherine or Ángela, their team will treat you like you have never experienced before, they will make you feel at home.

Great hotel and amazing staff. The Wi-Fi connection is quite good, with no issues during video calls or streaming. It's also suitable if you plan on working remotely (although I recommend taking the opportunity to enjoy the pool or buffet). Experience Santo Domingo to the fullest by staying at one of its premier hotels.

I came for 3 days. My TV didn’t work and wasn’t replaced. My lamp sparked and blew out. This also wasn’t replaced. Asked manager for adjustment to charge for poor service. He offered me free lunch, asked me to wait while he got approval and I’ve been sitting here 35 minutes. Simply awful and unacceptable.

This place was awesome. I had an executive sweet, ocean view room. The service was top notch. My Spanish is in beginning stages, so I had to use Google translate sometimes, the staff understood and were kind and understanding. Room service was excellent. Some of the rooms were dated, you can tell they are a bit old but not bad. Clean rooms as well. I really enjoyed my time here. The restaurant was amazing, the staff there was amazing too. I can't speak enough about this place. This was a really great first trip out of the country.

The reviews I read prior to my stay were mixed. It wasn't as bad as others have claimed, but there is definitely room for improvement. The Palladium is a good brand. The lobby, the lobby bar, and the restaurant are all impressive-looking. The pool area is large; the swim-up pool bar is small. I had the very bad luck to stay the weekend the pool was closed for renovation. I'm sure the newly renovated pool will be lovely for future guests. The brief afternoon I did spend at the pool, (prior to its closure) I was completely ignored by wait staff. The restaurant is very good. Breakfast buffet, lunch and dinner buffet had a decent variety; all the food was good. Take advantage of the freshly-prepared station. Again, the service leaves something to be desired. The hallways and the rooms of the hotel are in need of renovation. There is a perpetual musty smell; everything feels damp. It's not their fault: it's the Caribbean. Even still, the filtration system, the dehumidifiers, something needs to be improved. The rooms are very large and spacious, but worn. Chips here, a broken cabinet door, worn seating. Nothing unbearable, but certainly noticeable. Lastly, I did not find this to be a convenient location. You can't walk to the Colonial Zone; you need a cab/Uber or drive (and then fight for parking.) Depending on your plans and your budget, this might be a good fit for you.

The hotel staff were incredibly incompetent, and I say this with the most leniency and care toward service staff typically, but this hotel staff decided to charge me for having my bridesmaids get ready at the hotel, even after we had called TWICE months ahead to ensure that we would not have any problem the day of the wedding. I was charged $25 per person because of THEIR incompetence and miscommunication between employees. Furthermore, the rooms have roaches. I repeat: roaches. Para mis hispanohablantes, este hotel no es nada bueno, evítelo. Hay cucarachas.

I was expecting more from a five stars hotel. The room was dirty, it smelled bad, including the bathroom, and there was A LOT of water damage, as you can see by the photos. What's the point of paying for a hotel if it's going to be this dirty? We also asked for a few things ahead of time and they didn't do it. If you don't care about cleanliness, this is your place. The staff is polite.

We spent 5 days here. Our time was okay; breakfast is outstanding, service is pretty good. Our room keys had to be replaced 3 times- not sure why they kept not working. The rooms and hallways are old and outdated but generally clean. My concern was that no one was taking temperatures as people entered. Additionally, no one asked to see our vaccination cards when we checked in. I am not sure what the procedure is in D.R. but I think they should be checking guests, esp at a large hotel that has, by nature, an influx of international travelers all coming together and sharing the same air space.

Nice people. Good service. Hotel needs to be renovated. Music plays loudly until around 11pm. You can hear the bass in the room even on the 6th floor.

What an incredible place to stay! This Hotel has a lot of history. Maybe a little bit outdated, but the friendliness of the staff and the how they go out of their way to serve will amaze you. Rudi at bar will take care of you and Francisco will do the same at the pool bar. The Merengue and Salsa band show was excellent.

One of my worst stays. I work in consulting so i tend to stay for long periods in Hotels. I stay for over a month. Room had roachs. They charged me extras that i never purchased. The staff doesnt understand customer service. One of my worst stats

Friendly staff. I was annoyed that they asked for ID from all guests including my baby. Like why do they need my 8 month old's passport? Weird. Rooms and hallways are outdated, smells like humidity everywhere. Mold in the bathroom. Caulk needs to be redone. Towels are old and worn. Furniture could use a little paint or replaced. I guess for the price, I just expected a little more quality. Excellent customer service though. Very friendly staff

Very likeable staff, nice venues and comfy rooms (except I had to stay in a handicap rooms as the regular rooms weren't ready by 3pm). Food n drink prices were resort prices. Pretty expensive.

I don't usually leave reviews but this is worth it. Enmanuel Mendez works at this hotel. We made sure to get his name because of his excellent, warm, friendly and welcoming vibe. The customer service at Dominican Fiesta is extraordinary! From the people at the door helping with bags, to the lobby checking us in, to Darby the life guard being so helpful. My family stood around the pool trying to get a towel and the poor guy was running around like a chicken with the head cut off setting up jacuzzi, testing the water for chlorine, organizing the umbrellas & Beach chairs... they should have a helper for the towels & lifeguard. Other than that, pleasant stay. Especially pleased with Mr. Mendez, he should get promoted for sure or at least a raise.

I booked this place not long ago. The service was good, loved the room. Then when i left, they said they would put the insurance fund back on my credit card. They never did. So, overall they stole my $200 and change us dollars.

This hotel is disgusting!! False advertising. I booked a two night reservation and I had canceled it the following morning because I was told I had to reach out to someone the following morning because when I realized there were so many things wrong with the room that I say to him it was later in the day after I had been out for hours! The mattresses and pillows were damp it smelled like mold and there was black mold on the ceiling of the bathroom and the walls. The towels were old and rough as hell. Stains on the bed sham and sheets. and the hotel staff were very nice but they acted as if they were so perplexed as to how and or why I was able to get a refund and that they were not informed the morning after the first night of my two night reservation. They showed me in another room the night before. I was also informed by a staff member that it is known by the other staff members that the rooms are horrible and in poor condition with the mold and the smell. I will never stay here again this is probably one of the most disgusting places I’ve ever stayed at.

I stayed for two nights. The front desk, was very nice and professional. However, the new system with the IPads sucks. Why I have to enter all my information when I did it for my reservation. The room have a very strong humidity from the a/c, which make me feel the bed wet. The smell from the pillows was horrible, like they didn’t change the pillows cases. I complained to the front desk, and they sent 4 “new clean pillows”, which still have the same smell, maybe it was their detergent, I guess. The soap, shampoo/conditioner were poor quality. I will never go back to this hotel and won’t recommended to anyone.

We stayed 1 night at Fiesta due to the airline cancelling our flight. I was upset about the change of flight but everything happens for a reason. If it wasn't for that incident we would not have experienced Fiesta. The place is clean, the service efficient as should be. Nice pool and gym and for persons like my self that enjoy food (I'm 5'10 180lbs for those that think that I might be a glutton 😂) the food at the buffet for lunch as well as breakfast the following morning was awesome. I will include a few days at Fiesta on my next trip to Santo Domingo. I hope that the Casino will be operational on my return.

Price was right. Atmosphere was vibrant. Location was convenient. Experience was comfortable. The building itself may need a face-lift but other than that, experience was spot on.

They sold me an additional package telling me it was for my entire stay when it was per night (monica @ reception she lied) Food at the 8th floor was terrible along with the service I do not recoment this place not even on a tight bugget!!!

This place has everything you need, they just provide it at a very mediocre level of hospitality. The place has been around for a long time, it has history and and their interior design represents that. The rooms feel kinda old, but I hear they remodeled some of them, request one of the newer ones for a better experience. Price wise; not very competitive. There are better options for a an extra 10-20 dollars. It’s in the best neighborhood of Santo Domingo where you can go out and walk safely.

A major health risk hazard, mold infestation everywhere specially within the AC/ventilation ducts which may cause incurable lung conditions and also death. some of the staff are friendly and professional, others extremely rude. The facilities are in deplorable condition, the carpet is dirty and stinks, the bed clothing was stained and also smelled nasty, frayed bath towels. They try to deal with the humidity by having portable home dehumidifiers in the hallways (a total mediocre attempt). The room I stayed at had two doors that connect to other two rooms occupied by strangers and we can hear everything and they can hear you as well. I do not recommend this hotel. They seem to add fake good reviews, therefore I am adding some photos and videos, so everyone can see what’s going on.

We were staying at the Dominican Fiesta from December 29, 2022, to January 2, 2023. We upgraded to the 7th floor, room 714. Very spacious, good lighting, and ocean view, clean, the only thing was that it had a bit of a musty smell that dissipated over the days. The service was very good, the breakfast varied and excellent. The lobby bar is very good. Ample and secure parking. A great New Year's Eve party! The party dinner was of great quality and varied. The price: was excellent. The service waiters was very attentive and willing. Very good experience. The location of the hotel is good: supermarkets, restaurants, and shops nearby. Hotels staff was very professional and friendly. The prices are very good

We had a terrible experience at this hotel. Our first room was on the 5th floor and smelled badly of mold. We requested a room change and were placed on the same floor. The rooms were the same and smelled of must and mold. There were dehumidifiers on each floor in the hallways and rodent traps in the room. The rooms are very old circa 1970 and the beds are too. The were very uncomfortable and wrapped in plastic under the sheets. The blow dryer burned out after being used a few seconds and the replacement that was requested never arrived. The restaurant was nice but service was not good. We were give 2 different menus and the waiter seemed very confused as to which one was the correct one. We ended up leaving because service was so slow. Upon checking out we recounted our experience and were told we would be given a free evening in a better room to compensate for our bad experience. We accepted a similar room on the 6th floor which was exactly the same but smelled better. We went to a local mall and left our luggage- when we returned to pick up the key we were told that the room was not free but upgraded (upgraded to the 6th floor) we left immediately. This was by far the worst hotel we have ever stayed in.

Do NOT stay here. Incredibly disappointed. I'm never staying here again. Booked 6 nights, only stayed for 3 - I could not get a refund because they said I booked via Expedia, so I called Expedia, and they reach out to the property manager for a waiver but the property manager never responded. So, no money back. The room disappointing, smelled like someone threw up, and they tried to mask the smell with some chemicals. My lack of Spanish resulted in a $50usd charge for two beers, one water and a red bull from the mini bar.
