This builing traces its irigin to the first decade of the 16th century and houses the museum of the 19th cwntury Dominican Family. Ists recreate the living space of a well-to-do residence of the Dominican period.the house belong to Francisco Tostado, scribe of the royal Audience, who arrive to the island together with Nicholas de Ovando in 1502.

This is a classic Santo Domingo Colonial Zone spot. A must visit in every tourist list. Near you will find several restaurants and other entertainment spots. The parking is a bit of a problem. You will have to work form the nearest parking lot to the actual park but is not that far away. (about 3 minutes)

Update as of 4/20: Although i made recommendations of two great spots on this park (Lulu Tasting Bar and Cava Billini) I wanted to update you that they are permanently closed or until further notice. ‐-------- One of my favorite spots at Santo Domingo Colonial City. Quiet and lovely, enjoy tapa style food at Lulu Tasting Bar accompanied by a great wine selection from Cava Billini right next door. They have taken all safety measures against Covid to host visitors, maintaining social distancing, staff wearing mask and/or faceshields, constant table cleaning among others so you are able to enjoy your visit. I recommend seating at the terrace.

This place is really cool and amazing for mini photo sessions, there is a restaurant really nice and also a library cafe, they usually park a antique car replica and all people can take pictures in it which is really cool too.

Historic place. Nice to bring foreign people, that are interested in learning about the history of the DR, or about the development of The Colonial Zone.

This is a great neighborhood park in the Colonial district. It's a goto place for the neighborhood in the evening to get together and interact. Lots of street vendors in the area.

Unique restaurants with a very nice ambiance to enjoy a meal outdoors as well as indoors. Quiet enough to carry out conversations with great and unique music selection.

Nice square with Time vegetarian restaurant right there. A great place to eat and enjoy the view!

This small park is named for Francisco Xavier Billini, an Italian Dominican priest who dedicating his life to helping others. He built a hospital, appropriately named Hospital Padre Billini, still operating from its original location further down on Calle Arzobispo Nouel. The park includes a cute statue of Padre Billini and a little boy.
