This is a new restaurant and I believe the first of it’s type in Santo Domingo. The decor is simple yet elegant with many private rooms and also some larger dining spaces. Perfect for lunch or dinner meetings with business colleagues or friends or family. There are many different choices on the menu for the main dish and a large plate of varied vegetables comes with all options. All of the ingredients are of the highest quality. We had beef, chicken and shrimp and they were fantastic especially with the dipping sauce that you can make yourself to suit your individual taste. Delicious food in a fun environment.

If you haven’t tried hotpot I definitely recommend trying this place. There are plenty of options here compared to other hotpot place I have tried in DR. The best thing is everyone gets their own pot.

Good food. Good service. It's not Shabu Shabu just so you know it's Huǒguō (Chinese hot pot). The quality of the food is good and tastes great. It's not family-style, it's your own small pot in front of you, and they keep refilling the broth as much as you want. It is a bit expensive... it's quite expensive, but if you like Chinese hot pot it is a must-go at least once.

A nice restaurant to prove the traditional Chinese hot pot. Not cheap, kinda expensive but worth the experience. I recommend going with a couplemof friends so that you can order different plates and sides, and share. I ordered the pork belly with miso broth. But as a group we tried also Boston Steak and Ribeye Certified. There is a bar with a variety of condiments and sauces to mix and make one with your own preference. Very interesting. We also ordered rice, noodles and fried tofu. Everything was delicious. Strongly recommend.

Looking for good food and and a new experience? You must try this restaurant. The food is fresh and you get to prepare it to your taste, including creating your own sauce. In addition the service is excellent and if you’re lucky the owner will be there to walk you through. A must visit in Santo Domingo!

First Pot Shabu Shabu is an Asian restaurant in Cacicazgos, an area not overly blessed with good restaurants, so we decided to give it a try. The restaurant is decorated in a oriental minimalist style which works well in creating a clean fresh space and a calming ambience. Service was friendly and efficient. Shabu Shabu is a cooking concept I haven't encountered here in DR previously and involves you boiling your choice of meat and vegetable over your individual hot plate set into the table. There is a wide selection of ingredients to choose from to make your own dipping sauce for that food. They also offer a range of other Asian starters and mains, plus rice and vegetable dishes. The food was certainly good, but in my case I have never been a great fan of boiling as a cooking method, particularly for meat, so trying the Shabu Shabu was not perhaps the best idea. Not surprisingly I was fairly underwhelmed and I think would stick with one of the pre cooked dishes in future. Overall an excellent addition to the areas eating options and a change in terms of do it yourself cookery, recommended particularly if boiled food is your thing and if not, as I said, there are plenty of prepared dishes to choose from.

Very good service, the hotpot is not the same as the real hotpots in china, but the meat is of good quality, a bit pricey though.

The food was good, and the service was awesome. I speak little Spanish, and once they found that out, they quickly got someone who did to serve me, but everyone was super friendly, and the service was outstanding!

First of all, the owner is native from Taiwan, she really knows what she's doing. She personally prepare the restaurant desserts and they're awesome. I love the place, but only realized how good it is when a Chinese friend travelling Central America told me it was the best Shabu Shabu he has tasted in America (and he had already tried a lot in his months of travelling). You absolutely should visit the place.

Excellent food. Very clean place. It's a bit on the pricey side but it's worth your money. The best Hot Pot in the Caribbean area.

👍👍 The venue is very cute, the view on the ocean is spectacular. The staff was super friendly this day. The food was really good and arrived extremely fast. I had Mofongo (So delicious) and Sancocho (very good)! The only pros was the dessert.
