Honestly just like any other site on the coast line in Santo Domingo...just don't look down. Look at the see, the waves , the sky and the palms...just don't look down on the sand . Water ๐ŸŒŠ splashes out all the garbage on the beach. Looks like you are in the middle of some war zone. However, sunset ....magic.

Due to sand being moved by the waves, there is a very large step from the stairs to the sand. Not safe for small children or those with limited mobility. Itโ€™s a very dirty beach. There is a LOT of trash on the beach, and all along the Malecon for that matter. We saw people standing on the beach, but no one swimming. One guy was sunbathing after washing his shirt in the afternoon. And one morning there were a group of people went surfing from the beach. It was good to see some people using the beach for water sport. Overall, I would not recommend going down to the beach. The view is great from the Malecon.

Great place to sit and relax. Lots of seabirds to entertain you while soaking up some much needed tropical breezes.

Pretty water from board walk, but I don't believe it is very clean due to local river input

Loved it. We took pictures, walked along the side way. Really enjoyed the view. They quickly served us some soup with pork meat, we couldn't tell, my friend started eating it. The language barrier is a lot. You must have a person with you at all times to translate otherwise people were very nice and great food. Only downfall, I wish they stop adding salt way too much salt in their food.

Guibia Public Beach is located on the Malecรณn at Avenida George Washington near Avenida Maximo Gomez, Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic. Itโ€™s a great place to enjoy the seaside view and the park full of tourists and local people, pizzeria and ice cream shops. Itโ€™s has a history of bodyboarding and surfing.
