This is one of the best cafes we have been to! So charming, it has A/C, and lots of great spots to sit and enjoy time with your friends, significant other, etc. The latte was fantastic, the cascara tonic tea delicious and unique, and the service was wonderful. So charming inside, and they take a different - and delightful - approach to coffee. Plus a killer location. Come check it out!!

The coffee is AMAZING and the staff is incredibly knowledgeable and will walk you through any questions you have. Locally and ethically sourced. I highly recommend this spot for a coffee or brunch!

To be honest I will have to give 3 stars for their wifi policy. I saw a video on tik tok that said this was a great co working space but the WiFi policy is that you get only 1 hour at a time and you have to constantly ask the staff for a new code. That is really annoying. They need to have extra options maybe like a 3 hour or 5 hour option even if they charge a small fee for it but having WiFi that is only valid for 1 hour at time while trying to work from a coffee shop is really annoying and stressful. If you’re coming here to work for long periods of time that requires a constant connection WiFi this is not the place for that unless you don’t mind having to keep reconnecting every hour. But on the flip side the food and atmosphere is really nice.

Best coffee place in la Zona Colonial : the atmosphere, the music, the service, the gluten menu and of course the coffee with lactose-free options. Highly recommended!

Recently visited Casa Barista and had a great experience. The ambiance was delightful, creating a great vibe that instantly made me feel comfortable. The staff was friendly and provided good service. The cafe offers a wide variety of food and beverage options, and the cozy seating arrangements added to the overall charm. The food surpassed my expectations, making it a standout choice for a delightful cafe experience. We ordered Squash Cream Bisque - had a slightly smokey flavor than I would have expected and was a bit watery than your average bisque .. tasty though, Falafel Wrap and Veggie Burger - both tasted good. Highly recommend!

Coffee & Brunch place with a stunning interior. Menu created for everyone, including healthier options and vegan/vegeterian options too. I would recommend the vegan banana bread and Arepa Ranchera de Zanahoria, delicious.👌🏻

Great place to relax and enjoy a great variety of coffees. Love the rustic theme of the place with visible pipes, and book shelves.

Beautiful place, and the staff were nice and attentive. Great wifi - only downside is that the food I ordered was really poor value and just awful tasting. I ordered the Poke bowl and was told there was no quinoa but when it turned up it just a handful of shredded lettuce, 3 lettuce leaves, some warm raw tuna and some mayonnaise on a mountain of rice. Had to leave so much rice and it was kind of surprising that a kitchen would send something like that out to a customer. Stop in for coffee or to work, but stick to simple food - if any.

What an amazing coffee shop. This place prides to have everything Gluten free and let me tell you is very good and lots of food. We had an incredible lunch with always the smell of fresh coffee 🤩. Highly recommended to eat, have coffee or any of their delicious Lemonades while working or hanging out with friends. It’s a great spot in colonial zone.

A very lovely place in the middle of the town. The place is very clean and the staff is very friendly. For a non-native spanish speaker, it's great to find employees speaking english or French here. The toilets are also very clean, which is a big factor in small coffee shops in the area. The food is delicious and the choices are numerous. Highly recommended for tourists passing by this area.

A stunning interior which rivals even the best restaurants. The espresso drinks are fine. The food is underwhelming.

A beautiful coffee shop. It's air conditioned, and has a variety of options on the menu. You can come to eat, chat, or take that zoom call your boss so desperately needs you to take. I always come here when I'm around la Zona Colonial. :-)

Really beautiful place - enjoyed the coffee with coconut & cashew milk. The pizza was below average, just a warm & dry piece of bread with cheap cheese. Service was very unwelcoming, staff ignored us at all times. For coffee - I 100% recommend it, otherwise food is overpriced and not worthy it.

These are professional staff members that know very well about coffee and brewing it. I love the place and I tried various drinks and entries. The cappuccino is amazing with an additional decaf for my wife. The mochaccino is chocolately; very tasty. I've also tried poached eggs which was the least of my favorites but the carrot cake was stupendous. I've also had avocado toast and after that I couldn't take it anymore. When you are feeling famish for breakfast or for light snack, this is a must for coffee lovers. They accept credit cards.

Great pour over coffee. The staff is very knowledgeable. They are vegan friendly and have free wifi. A bit pricy for Santo Domingo standards but definitely worth it.

This place is definitely beautiful & the farm to table aesthetic definitely comes through but for a price! My partner and I ordered 2 coffees and 1 omelette and the bill came out to 1300 pesos ! That’s more than $20usd. It’s okay extremely pricey for ok food but coffee is great!

We had 3 days to visit Santo Domingo and every day had a breakfast in Casa Barista since we tried. Very high standard of food and drinks. Top noch service and even english speaking staff. Healthy food alternatives all over the menu, gluten free, additive free and even plenty vegan options for hardcore green eaters too. The bread and pasta also gluten free but taste great with excellent texture. Deserts are incredible soft and moist as it should be. I couldn’t find anything negative there. I wish I could give 6 stars ✨

This charming little shop is the ideal place to enjoy your first cuppa morning brew. The coffee and muffin were simply delicious and the service really professional. My favourite place in Santo Domingo

Very beautiful place. When you come in you can see the professionalism. Best Cappuccino I have had in the Dom Rep. But the price was extremely ridiculous. Almost 4,50€ for a pretty small cup. Despite the quality, it’s still a rip off price.

This place looks really good, and I can appreciate the ambiance and feel they've created it. But that is where the good finishes. The coffee looks good but is watery for both types we tried - maybe low quality milk or lacked execution. The food, again, looked good in the pictures but small on arrival, lacked seasoning and sauces. Eggs overcook and miss any kind of X factor. Average at very best. For the lack of anything good, the prices are already too much, then they add taxes and tip on top. Disappointing.

Cool place to be if you like history and coffee! The atmosphere and service are really nice. The coffee drinks aren't super great for the prices though.

We came here almost every day even just to stop in for coffee - the food was super high quality and delicious (the arepas specifically!) and the coffee was fantastic. I did have an inconsistent experience when I ordered cold brew coffee three times, each time it was totally different, always good but a little disappointing that I wasn’t getting what I was hoping for. Decor is a beautiful mix of modern and industrial with preserved elements of the colonial building, and the staff was really accommodating. Highly recommend for breakfast, lunch and coffee in the Zona Colonial!

I had the Viennese Coffee which for sweet lovers is pretty good, you may find that you need to add some sugar once you finish the whipped cream. For food I had avocado toast, which tasted a bit lemony likely due to a balsamic vinegar, for me this was great but worth noting in case. I had the chocolate and oat cookie, which due to schedule I carried in my backpack from around 1100 till 1640, even after a full day in my backpack it was soft and what I'll call good (taste felt a bit mute, and somewhat dry, however I'll attribute this to the ordeal I packed it through). The only small downside I perceived was that service was somewhat slow, not to a degree that I'd discourage people from going, but advise to not go when in a rush. The staff was attentive and friendly to us.

A delightful coffee experience in the heart of the Zona Colonal. The baristas are friendly and they know how to make a cup of coffee. Their coffee is also expertly roasted. Overall a great way to experience Dominican coffee.
