We love the ambiance of the place, the staff was polite and prompt to help, the menu is wide and mixes refine dishes with simple sandwiches and salads. We had a pasta (of course!) recommended by our waiter and it was out of the park good! Also the beef carpaccio was excellent, my date had a sandwich and also was great in flavor and size. The drinks were on point!

This is a great place to take a girl on a date (and not just any girl, i mean a girl you really into😂) the restaurant actually takes up quite a vast part of that street corner, its an italian restaurant/ bakery/ coffee shop. The moment i came in i felt very comfortable with the ambience, very cozy, no loud crazy music like some spots have, the have several areas for you to choose, theres even an area with dimmed lights, loved it all, the staff was very attentive and kind. As for food and drinks i went straight to the cocktails, had a passion fruit margarita, very delicious. I was recommended to try the meat cannelloni and they were show stopping. Had a one thousand leaves cake for dessert it was so good. Like i said. You wanna impress, this is the place to try it.

Awesome service and great food. This restaurant gets really packed and is quite classy. I like the environment and interior design. The menu has quite a large selection of Italian dishes which make it Perfect for a first date or family dinner.

This is one of those places that if you know about it, you know. Top quality food. You can tell it’s an OG establishment. The owner is really nice and attentive. You can find him walking around and interacting with the guests. The food is 10/10. Freshly made authentic Italian food. You can also find a lot of Italians here speaking Italian. Their desserts are one of the best on the island. Definitely come here if you want to impress someone.

Cute Italian restaurant. The food is good. If your going to order out make sure you call than walk in to order. It’s a bit of a wait due to the restaurant busy especially during lunch time.

Great spot with friendly service, delicious food and free wifi 😁. I came for breakfast but was too late. The server recommended the filet with mash potatoes that was cooked to perfection 🤤.

Had a really great time in this place. Hector was an amazing waiter. Perfect suggestions, accomodated couple of requests... They had a pianist while I was there, which was a pretty nice touch. Funny thing (and I'm thankful) is that my little kid asked the pianis for "twinkle twinkle little star", next thing you know this guy is playing kids songs for my kids. I ask for a Sinatra song, he went all in with the request. AMAZING, THANK YOU.

Beautiful European style Tea/coffee shop, bakery & patisserie'. Everything we had was delicious. Ice cream 🍨, frappuccino, beer variety 🍺, lemonade 🍋, macarrones, and more. It was chilled and nice. Great for families, friends, and everyone else!!!

High profile cafe. Service is on point. Food is great. Hard to see negative where there is none. Prices are moderate. Great ambience. I have never had a bad time when ive been to Capuccino as its commonly known. Make sure you have one of their croissants for breakfast.

Really good food. Items in the menu lean into the pricey ones (some appetizers are priced like a main dish). But everything was delicious, the customer service was very amiable and kind, and gave us as much bread as we wanted, while we waited for the food! Expect to expend around 1.5k pesos in a lunch for 2 (no appetizers)

Ostería del cappuccino is a great place to enjoy a good gelato in Santo Domingo, and maybe in the whole country. The gelato is fresh, genuine and always very tasty. They have sugar-free versions for all tastes. They also have a large selection of desserts, including the amazing tiramisu. I recommend this place, I have been coming here for several years. The Italian dishes are delicious too.

Fantastic food, service and overall vibe. Servers are more attentive and kind than anywhere else I've been. Food doesn't take long and tastes freshly made with high quality ingredients. One of those restaurants you'd want to keep coming back to.

Great selection of food. Nice to view from fresh deli case. Service is excellent. Feels like a true Italian cafe and reminded me of our visit to Lake Garda in Italy.

I haven’t been here for over 10 years and of course my expectations were high as the last time I visit the food and service were exceptional. My honest review this time is one star for Osteria Cappuccino, I was disappointed, felt discrimination from the staff serving, a disrespectful waitress and the plates ordered were just mediocre and overpriced, I don’t recommend any. Overall I felt ashamed with my invitees as they leave the restaurant dissatisfied and disrespected. I believe everyone experience is different ours was poor, but this critic should be and open opportunity for improvement. The local is spacious, good for groups, the restroom wasn’t clean or stock with proper higiene materials.

Nelo is very charismatic, knowledgeable and professional, food is good in taste, flavor and very well . The Chateau Briande perhaps a bit overcooked yet rich and tender, I will definitely come back

This was a close walk from the hotel and we'll worth it. The servers did their best to accommodate us but the food made the trip. The dessert selection was incredible.

Authentic Italian cuisine in a bright, cold and armonious setting. Traditional dishes, using the highest quality ingredients. Staff is fluent in italian cuisine and preparations. The bruschetta were great. And it was pleasure to have the carbonara with guanciale. There are amazing desserts too! Bring a date!

Quality of food not good...beef was chewable and fish a bit dry...flavors were great and cook right on...spend a bit more on cooking ingredients.

Classic Italian restaurant that holds true to most Italian recipes and taste. A large menu selection, family style set up un one side of the space, and separated from a more formal setting that is next door. It takes a longer time to get yoyr meal since they seem to do it from scratch. If you want extra cheese to sprinkle on your food, they charge for it. The staff has been working there for a long time so you can trust their opinion on recommendations. They have a wow dessert menu and pastry section including great tasting gelato. 4 stars because the food takes longer than you might think is acceptable, but if you want to talk alot with the other guests, it is perfect

Spectacular display of cakes and pastries including low calorie options and selections for diabetics or those who are lactose intolerant. All in all there is temptation on a plate for almost everyone, so not really a place for those on a diet or even slightly weak willed! The service is friendly and efficient and the ambience very pleasant. In addition to the bakery/coffee shop, there is a full restaurant and a very well stocked delicatessen with a wide selection of Italian products. All in all a pretty complete package.

Great every time! The restaurant has three sections so you sit based on your choosing: casual, semi or more formal. Menu is the same. I sit normally in the casual area since I am a regular. Formal dining area is best for clients, in-laws and a nice date. Other areas are still nice but don't have the same ambiance or level of attention as the formal area. Enjoy!

My friends and I are teaching English for four months in this country as volunteers and came to this restaurant yesterday. Our waitress was kind enough but we didn’t get any bread like every other table was. Our food got out and did not look anything like the meals around us. My friends pizza had 3 small “meatballs” and 1 piece of basil. The pizza next to us looked smothered in the same ingredients. My sandwich was hard bread and one slice of turkey, and very expensive for what I got ($12). It took 1 whole hour for them to bring us our checks. And another 30 minutes for them to bring us back our cards. I assume it was the manager, but one of the waiters kept looking over at us ushering him over and would avoid our table and eyes at all costs. This was our last meal in Santo Domingo and we were extremely disappointed and saddened by the dirty and judgmental looks and comments from those sitting around us .

👍👍 The venue is very cute, the view on the ocean is spectacular. The staff was super friendly this day. The food was really good and arrived extremely fast. I had Mofongo (So delicious) and Sancocho (very good)! The only pros was the dessert.
