When
I
heard
about
Paris
bar
and
lounge
in
the
Dominican
Republic,
I
was
intrigued.
The
idea
of
a
French-themed
bar
in
the
heart
of
the
Caribbean
seemed
almost
too
good
to
be
true.
But
from
the
moment
I
stepped
inside,
I
knew
this
place
was
the
real
deal.
The
decor
is
elegant
and
refined,
with
touches
of
Parisian
flair
that
transport
you
to
another
world.
From
the
vintage
posters
on
the
walls
to
the
red
velvet
curtains
that
frame
the
stage,
everything
about
Paris
exudes
class
and
sophistication.
And
the
live
music
only
adds
to
the
ambiance,
with
a
rotating
roster
of
local
musicians
playing
everything
from
jazz
to
bossa
nova.
But
of
course,
the
real
star
of
the
show
here
is
the
drinks
menu.
Paris
offers
a
wide
variety
of
cocktails,
from
classic
French
favorites
like
the
Kir
Royale
to
tropical
drinks
with
a
Caribbean
twist.
I
tried
their
version
of
the
French
75,
which
was
made
with
local
rum
and
fresh
lime
juice
instead
of
gin.
It
was
a
refreshing
take
on
a
classic
cocktail,
and
the
perfect
drink
to
sip
while
listening
to
the
live
music.
But
what
really
stood
out
to
me
about
Paris
was
the
wine
list.
They
have
an
impressive
selection
of
French
wines,
with
bottles
from
all
the
major
wine
regions
represented.
I
tried
a
glass
of
the
Chateau
Mouton
Rothschild,
and
it
was
an
absolute
revelation.
The
complex
flavors
of
black
currant
and
tobacco
were
perfectly
balanced
by
the
subtle
tannins,
and
the
finish
was
long
and
satisfying.
Of
course,
no
French-themed
bar
would
be
complete
without
some
good
food
to
pair
with
the
wine.
And
Paris
doesn't
disappoint
on
that
front
either.
They
have
a
small
menu
of
French-inspired
dishes,
with
everything
from
escargot
to
steak
frites.
I
tried
the
croque-monsieur,
and
it
was
the
perfect
blend
of
salty
ham
and
creamy
cheese
on
toasted
bread.
Overall,
I
can't
recommend
Paris
bar
and
lounge
enough.
If
you're
looking
for
a
taste
of
France
in
the
heart
of
the
Dominican
Republic,
this
is
the
place
to
be.
From
the
live
music
to
the
exceptional
wine
list,
everything
about
Paris
exudes
class
and
sophistication.
Santé!
