Let’s just say this is one of the best place to go if you are staying in the nearby areas. Before coming here, I went to three other places which I won’t name that were ridiculous. You either had to have a reservation or the pedicure was a dry one (heck no!). Dock’s beauty Lounge is not only very well staffed but also very attentive while providing great service. Continue reading for details! 1. Location is perfect! Inside the “Acropolis Mall on Winston Churchill Avenue”. One you walk in it’s on the right turn about 30 feet inside next to the information center. 2. Very clean and organized. Usually when I come inside a nail lounge they have this acrylic smell or chemical should I say. This one was not, and it was also very nicely designed. 3. Professional staff. The staff knows what they’re doing and are very polite. 4. Great service! I say this because I went to many nail lounge nearby and none had same day services. Here not only they were less expensive, I didn’t need an appointment, nor did I wait too long to get service. Fast and efficient, service was awesome. 5. Nice Bar. Yes they have a bar at which you can get a variety of drinks. Most nail lounges do! And the service was also efficient. Overall it was a great experience and I will be back every time I am in Santo Domingo.

super overpriced and dishonest pricing compared to the website. manicure and pedicure didn’t even last long even with gel and “organic” polish that i did not ask for. one of the ladies kept forcing me to write a good review and even took my phone and did it herself. i deleted it. i do not recommend this place and i definitely will not be going back.

Wonderful service, top quality, not cheap by local standards, but worth it because of atmosphere and quality. Highly recommend. You can also get a delicious drink with your nails treatment if you wish. Sangria tropical was the best.

Poor attention to customer reservations and poor response time. I tried several times to request a reservation and the gentleman at reception who answers would read the message and not respond. I later called and was assured I would be sent a message to confirm a time and never did. I never even recia call back. Pretty poor follow up. Also on my initial visit I received a pedicure which was done so poorly I could not put pressure on one foot for 2 days unfortunately I got an infection on one of my toes. I honestly have never had problems with this location but due to this poor experience I will not be returning.

Horrible expensive, took forever, uncomfortable, made me bleed and my nails need to be redone they are yellow. Said something to the manager did not care at all. Never go here. Find a hotel spa if you want a good job.

Had a great experience the first time. The second time, the manager saw me walk in and saw an opportunity. She had a different chica do my nails, obviously one that does a lot of upselling. I just wanted to relax, listen to my music, and have my nails done. She kept interrupting that, making me take out my head phone (with foil on all my fingers) just to upsell me services. I stated blatantly that I only wanted the services I stated when i made the reservation, but she didn't stop interrupting me to upsell services. At some point, there was a miscommunication, and she thought I agreed to having a layer of extra hard gel add to my nails, something I did NOT want. She never said the price, nothing. She was just talking about gel nails being hard, and i nodded my head in agreement. Then, when i went to pay, she tried to charge me more than double the original price for the 'layer of extra hard gel.' A service that was 1,400 pesos became 3,300+ pesos. I highly doubt an extra layer of clear coat is valued as a $35+ upcharge for non-white customers. She claimed she told me the product was offered, 'a parte,' but admitted that was all she said to indicate an upcharge. She was very aware spanish is my second language, but made no effort to be clear and transparent in her communication. It would be nice if i could at least get my nails done in this country without someone trying to take advantage of me because of my nationality. To make it even better, my nails don't even look great and when I expressed pain or that I didn't want her to cut my cuticles she dismissed me, like she knows what's best for me better than I do. Definitely will NOT be going back here.

Nice staff and location but overpriced for the level of work they provide. Nail polish out of the cuticle line. Nail edges left rough. Didn’t clean dead skin on manicure. Not to mention zero sanitary measures. Also be prepared to pay more than what their website markets.

Original price was 1050 pesos for manicue/pedicure. I was asked and approved for moisturizer for my dry feet. I should have asked the cost. Charged me over double just to put moisturizer on my feet. 2300 pesos. Slick employees

The first time I came in it was great and was charged 50 bucks American money to get full set gel and got a design on both my big toes. However the second time I came in the service and drinks were great both I was overcharged I got a color change on my toes and got two nails fixed with one Smirnoff when I looked at the price it was 1845 pesos but when I tap my card it was 3500 pesos and when I asked why so much and they told me they charged me for 3 smirnoffs which was wrong I had one and I bought two friends they each had one Smirnoff a piece and they charged me for all 3 but I was still overcharged. I will come back tomorrow and get waxed and since I been over charged then I guess it will pay for my bikini wax right?

I’m on vacation and I stopped to do my nails really quick. Marcel and Alba were AMAZING! I received VIP treatment. They were so attentive and even gave me a beer to enjoy my time. I definitely recommend coming for a beer and your nails done.

Outstanding service , the staff is very professional, their pedicure chairs are in another level really the best ones in Santo Domingo , organic resin & acrylics, they use amazing quality products, very clean , good location , parking , and super great drinks!

Perfection! I have been receiving services from Docks for a few years and the girls have been more than accommodating. I love this place. It’s a o e stop shop for all of your spa needs. Friendly service. Girls that are super sweet and the sangrias are worthy the visit. Yolenny is the one of the best nail tech on this side of the Caribbean. Lisebeth is perfect for Brazilian waxes and Cristian is one of the best makeup artist the capital. I would recommend Docks anytime you need spa services. They offer everything a girl needs.

I asked price for full gel french manicure, they told me 1,100 pesos, then raised it to 1,300 but when i went to pay they raised it to 2,095, thats a total rip off. When i asked for the proconsumer book to file report, they said they didnt have one, a violation of the law

Terrible place went here to get my nails done rude staff very rude mosquitos inside on the floor and they charged me triple the price I would never complain but this place is discusting overrated they need to upskill. 2 of my nails broke that day they need to learn how to do nails properly don't waste your money and go elseware

I'm extremely confused. I booked an appointment online for a French Gel pedicure. Online the price said it was $1295. My 3 year old daughter got regular polish on her toes and nails. On the site that should have been no more than $1000. When it's time to pay, the lady at the front tells me my total is $3445. I ask her why was it that much when my appointment said that FRENCH GEL MANICURE was $1250. She said they charge everything separately and that the french tip was an extra $950 which is dumb because on the site it says that the french tip is included in the price. I didn't get anything fancy; no parrafin wax or hydration treatment. The woman who did my pedicure was good but I won't be back due to dishonest pricing . The prices on the website should have been updated !

The staff was very friendly but the services are overpriced in my opinion. I have several cuts from the cuticle nipper and drill. My toes and nails aren’t executed well, there’s excess polish on skin on both my fingers and toes. I also don’t remember seeing a hand-washing station which makes me question their sanitary procedures. I don’t think Ill ever come here again. Other’s may have a better experience. Im just not satisfied with quality of work I received.
