My
husband
and
I
travelled
to
Spain
for
a
two
week
trip,
and
this
was.
STAND
OUT.
It's
an
award-winning
family
olive
oil
producer
1
hr
drive
outside
Barcelona.
Totally
unique
experience
and
education.
The
family
(mom,
dad,
son
-
that’s
the
whole
team)
spent
6-7h
with
us
showing
us
their
olive
trees,
explaining
the
process
of
green
harvesting
and
pressing,
sharing
their
family
history
tracing
back
to
1100’s,
and
doing
blind
(literally
blinded)
smell
tests
of
first
the
notes
found
in
olive
oil
(tomato
leaf,
fennel,
fig
leaf
ect),
then
blind
testing
of
several
olive
oils
to
id
their
characteristics
(mature
vs
green
etc),
and
finally
sharing
a
home
cooked
meal
with
the
oil
they
make
that
should
really
belong
in
a
restaurant.
If
you're
planning
your
itinerary
and
read
reviews,
you've
probably
read
"can’t
miss"
about
a
couple
things
already,
but
this
is
truly
special.
We
travel
for
an
authentic
understanding
of
how
people
live/have
lived
(and
sometimes
to
just
relax
or
be
entertained).
The
authenticity,
enjoyment,
and
coming
away
with
new
knowledge
is
hard
to
find
sometimes.
It’s
here.
Go
if
you’re
anywhere
within
1.5-2h
drive.
