This is my experience from 2014. Love the beach so near to the city center. What else, do you expect when you visit a far away place and find such a beautiful place to relax.. I visited with my friends gang and we had a lovely time together, clicking photos and enjoying the gigantic waves.. It was an absolute pleasure to find a lovely spot like this in Barcelona. I definitely recommend this for families or a bunch of friends.. Especially, During the sunset, the views are mesmerizing. Wish you all a good time there :)

I am not really in beach holiday, but this place take my heart. There a lot locals on weekend. If you want some activity you can download app meetup. for 5-10 euro you will have sport activity in sea or on beach with professional trainer! Drinking alcohol and smoking are prohibited on the beach.

It's a great beach for one so close to the central city, but maybe not a place for a relaxing beach holiday. Close by there are plenty of restaurants and other vendors catering to this popular beach. On the weekends and in the mornings you'll see a lot of people exercising at the beach and along the walkways. The adjacent iconic W hotel and a large paved area that's an observation deck on the other side of the hotel is also popular for strolling and joggers... and the areas along the shore are a great place to catch the sunrise as it comes up over the ocean.

Barcelona has not great beaches, but if you don't have time to drive till Costa Brava this is an ok solution for the need of sun and sea. Quite wide space, showers, a zone to park your bike and some restaurants around. The quality of the water is not great, the sand is acceptable. Be extremely aware of the pick pockets and don't let your belongings unattended.

Not the best beach to swim or bath but still nice walk and nice view of the seaside of Barcelona in summer they do alfresco cinema on this beach and the summer classical concert from OBC the Barcelona Classical Orchestra (around 20th June)

Man kann aber einfach Leute fragen ob sie ein Auge darauf haben können und dann auch viel Spaß im Wasser haben.

Wer sensibel auf nackte Brüste und entblösste Männliche Geschlechtsteile reagiert , der sollte den Strand meiden. Wen das alles nicht stört wird hier einen schönen Tag am Strand verbringen. Für mich ein super Strand um vom ganzen rumlaufen in der Stadt etwas zu entspannen.

As far as city beaches go, this beach is nice and a big asset of Barcelona. However, some sections of this beach had garbage, massive sea gulls looking for food, stones/rocks at the water’s edge and sand that wasn’t that nice. I would recommend walking further north on the beach where there is a peninsula—this section turns into a more beautiful beach.

Very nice beach. We have great time. We took our tops of our bikinis. :) we loved this freedom here. There were umbrellas and some sunbeds each for 20 euros. A little bit expensive but we rented 2 sunbeds and one umbrella. Smoking is forbidden at the beach.

Nice beach with a good atmosphere, you should be careful with the sun burns because the sun hits really hard during these days and specially this beach. There are some things wrong with San Sebastian Beach: The beach is really crowded with tourists, the place is a bit unsecure (just as most places of Barcelona nowadays), the surroundings are ridiculously expensive. On my advise, I recommend to leave the beach just as you finished swimming or you had enough of chilling on there and travel by public transport to a small neighbourhood in the high part of Barcelona and eat in whatever bar you find, it’s going to be the most authentic and spanish food you will find.
