Tawan has a lot of friends, which isn't surprising when you get to know him better. We are now one of them too. We traveled with Tawan for 2 days and enjoyed both very much. His car is very well maintained and (more importantly) well air conditioned. Tawan himself speaks good English and is easy to communicate with. On the first day we visited the area around Ubud, on the second day we took the boat to Nusa Penida. Tawan is very careful to make the tours as comfortable as possible for his guests. The conversations we had with Tawan in between were at least as interesting as the tours themselves. He is a very modern, funny guy who still upholds his family's traditions and told us a lot about life as a Balinese and Hindu. He was wonderfully honest and didn't just describe the bright side. Thank you very much Tawan, we will definitely see each other again!

Tawan really was the biggest blessing of our trip. We came to Bali fresh from a very busy couple of weeks and hadn’t time to prepare much. We met Tawan by coincidence and knew right away we wanted to keep him close for the rest of our trip. Now granted, you don’t really have to do anything in Bali to have a good time; everywhere you look is so beautiful that you only really need to breathe. But Tawan was definitely the crown on our trip. He listens to what you want and suggests a schedule according to your needs and wishes. On top of that, he has many ideas and inside knowledge that he suggests you add to your trip. This way he introduces you to things you never thought of, and that would otherwise have easily passed you by. He knows the best places to stop for food, where the best views are, the most beautiful temples and rice fields, and whom to talk to to get you the best adventures (from forest trekking, Hindu prayer ceremonies to snorkeling). He works tirelessly to give you the best experience and goes above and beyond. The best example of this is when I told Tawan about an Indonesian drink that I had forgotten the name of, and that I once had when I was a little child more than twenty years ago. Tawan identified it right away, had driven to the village where he lives and surprised me with cendol from a lady who has been making it for decades, and that Tawan himself grew up drinking. Tawan could have pointed me to a cendol shop on the side of the street, and I would have been more than happy and grateful, but instead, he allowed me to relive this childhood memory in the most fantastic way, and now I will remember it for the rest of my life. This is really a testament to how Tawan just goes the extra mile for you. He does this in hundreds of little ways. Can’t imagine a better person to guide you through Bali. Thank you, Tawan, my friend! Thank you for showing us all the beautiful things we wanted to see and all the amazing things we didn’t know we wanted to see, and for all the little moments in between! I hope we will see each other again.

We spent two days with Tawan and saw and learned a lot. He took us to beautiful places and always told us interesting information about life in Bali on the way there. No matter whether religious, political or personal topics: Tawan is always happy to talk about it and give honest answers! Thanks for the two great days! :-)

We arranged a jungle/bird watching trek followed by a long transfer with several stops on the way via Mejangan Bali Driver. He arranged a good guide for the trek where we saw both the black and grey monkeys and several beautiful birds. The transfer was smooth with an excellent driver. The driver was very open in explaining the upcoming galungan holidays and everything associated.

It was so much fun visiting Bali with our guide Tawan. He is so funny, a very good driver and shows the best places to visit in Bali. He also told us a lot of things about the balinese culture and traditions. We did several tours with him and he really became a friend. We are looking forward to come back to Bali and explore new places with him.

Tawan was a fantastic driver and tour guide. I would highly recommend hiring Tawan to anyone who wants to learn about and explore Bali. My partner and I met Tawan on our first day in Bali and we had no intention of having a guide for our trip but after a short time talking with him, we decided to take him up on his offer to drive us around this beautiful island that he knew so well. This decision was the best choice we ever made. Tawan was an exceptional driver, and his car was spacious and clean. He answered all of our many questions about the culture and traditions of the Balinese and always seemed happy to talk to us about it. By the end of our time in Bali, we thought of Tawan as more of a friend than a tour guide. He also introduced us to many different Balinese foods and these foods was some of the most delicious foods we have ever eaten. We didn’t want to eat where other tourists ate because we wanted to eat the best traditional foods that the locals ate. Tawan always made sure we were eating safe food for westerners and translated for us to ensure the correct ice was always used in our drinks. Honestly, I could go on but in summary, Tawan is a fantastic person, he made our trip and his knowledge about Bali truly made us fall in love with this beautiful island.

You will not find a better guide. Beyond being knowledgeable, accommodating, and genuinely prioritizing our best interests, he is simply a good person who cares about his country and all the people who come to enjoy it. Our trip was improved by magnitudes after meeting him, and my wife and I are better people for having him in our life. He took care of us, and even after we left Bali, he continued to care about our well-being. His English is great, rates are reasonable, and he is an honest person that takes care of the people around him. If you're looking for a special person to share your trip with and ensure it is memorable, look no further. We can't speak highly enough about Tawan and the services he offers.

I would totally recommend a tour with Tawan, even for multiple days! He is very nice, speaks very good English, explains a lot, answers all the questions and really tries to make the best of your vacation! He gave suggestions on where to go depending on what we wanted to see and therefore we had a very individual tour which was perfect! He is so helpful also afterwards and arranges things and helps whereever he can. We had a very good experience with him and whenever we come back - what we definitely will - we will call him right away :)

Tawan is the BEST tourguide ever. He has a great personality, is a safe driver and fluent in English. He knows Bali very well and will make sure you get to visit all the beautiful places. Also, he’s very strong at organizing. You can tell him about your travel plans and he will fix the rest: transport with responsible drivers, boat tickets and even discounts on activities. Tawan‘s main goal is to make sure his guests are happy and safe. Because of this mindset he‘s willing to do a lot of extra effort. I can’t recommend him enough. We used Tawan as our driver from The Menjangan Resort to Kintamani and did a tour with him, he made us laugh and was very fun to be around. He took us to a delicious restaurant for lunch afterwards which we loved. We would be delighted to have Tawan be our driver and guide next time we’re in Bali!

We had an amazing trip in Bali because of Tawan. He took us to temples on the first day, and then planned a day trip for us on the second day. Because other guests have booked him in advance, so he was not available when we wanted him to do more trips with us. But he contacted other tour guides to drive us, and made sure we were well taken care of (yep, he called the other tour guides and called us, to make sure everything was going well, and we were having a good time). He is a very knowledgeable and caring person, and has become a good friend. If you are looking for a person who is honest, and cares about you and your experience, Tawan is the guy you should have for your trip.

Tawan was very kind and helpful during my first time visiting Bali! I booked a long drive, and I felt comfortable because he answered all my questions about Indonesia, and gave me advice on local activities, shops, and restaurants. He was friendly and went into the store to make sure I got a fair price when I needed to buy some electronics, and I can trust him :) I will be booking his services again in the future!

Our bike broke down on the side of the road in Menjangan, North Bali. Stranded, we called Tawan at short notice and asked for a lift into town. Not only did Tawan come to help us within a matter of minutes during a national holiday in Bali, but he looked after us beyond expectations. He called on his friends to help us take our bike to a mechanic, have our bike fixed, and followed along with us in the car. He was not only a fantastic help to us but he made sure that we could get reasonable prices, and did all of this with the most positive energy that turned a time of stress into a small issue that was resolved in a matter of hours. we are very thankful to Tawan and his wife for the generosity, and hope to see him again soon! We had a great experience with Ketut Kartawan Menjangan Bali Driver Guide. I and my husband booked one day private trip from Celukan Bawang cruise ship port. Tawan waited for us in port almost 1 h because is a tender port and this means a lot of waiting time. He welcomed us with the traditional yellow flowers neckless, a nice gift. We made the itinerary and he helped us to improve it. We decided to snorkel in Menjangan Island and we are glad to did so- it is a marine natural park and there are a lot of fish. His 2 friends (captain and snorkel guide) take us to the island with a speed boat and snorkeled in 2 places - one from the beach (off-shore) and one from boat, near a beach. We felt safe, the guide was in the water, near us, pointed different fish. After snorkeling we met again Tawan and visited Lovina Beach where we had a beautiful sunset and took a good massage. Tawan is a very good driver, very kind, polite, speeks very good English; he stopped on our way to take pictures, answered us to all questions, explained what we seen on our way - he is also a very good guide. Tawan bought for us some exotic fruits - mangostines, acompanied us in a local supermarket to buy some items. He was carefull to return on time at our cruise ship. Everything was perfect - we have great memories! If we return in North Bali for sure we will book with Ketut Kartawan Menjangan Bali Driver Guide. Thank you very much!
