Mandala Desa is the perfect stay for anyone looking to avoid the tourist hub. Surrounded by beautiful rice fields, secluded in a quiet corner of Ubud. The owners and staff will go out of their way to make your stay enjoyable, and they are diligent in maintaining a clean and comfortable environment, with some of the cleanest rooms we've seen in Bali. We have had an amazing time getting to know the people here, and would recommend choosing to stay here for a couple days, because a single night could never be enough! The pool area has been a massive relief in the heat, and the food and drinks are delicious and seemingly abundant. The rooms themselves are kept cool with air-conditioning, the mattresses are comfortable, and the water pressure in the showers is worth the money by their own right. We could not recommend this place more!

The perfect place to arrive in Bali, after a long flight when you are still overwhelmed by the Jet lag, the new impressions and the heat and humidity. You enter the place and it feels like peace and relaxation from the first minute. Beautiful rooms, great garden and pool, phantastic service and everything is just easy. And everything is so clean.Jan and Irmi, the hosts, make sure you get what you need, they give great tips, but also leave you alone. You can explore the area - I highly recommend to do the village tour, you learn a lot about the local culture- but you can also just relax at the pool and enjoy your vacation. I can only recommend this place!

A beautiful and well-kept haven of peace and quiet, close to many attractions, which you will learn about from the presentation prepared by the friendly owner. Convenient online communication, delicious meals ordered at the right time, friendly service, a beautiful garden with a swimming pool and comfortable rooms - all this creates an atmosphere of rest and the desire to return.

Had a pleasant stay at Mandala Desa. Come to this property to see a whole different side to Bali -for example, we did a village tour conducted by the village leader, learning about the domestic and societal norms and traditions of the Balinese people. Kudos to the owners, Jan and Irmi, for ensuring that the guests are super comfortable and doling out useful advice (both on life in Bali and outside) :)

Absolutely amazing place. I would be happy to stay here for a while, without thinking about tickets back home. The owners are very kind and friendly, as well as the whole crew. I felt like I became a member of thier family ❤️ and am very blessed for every minute of being here. The owner made a WhatsApp group for us and crew, which helped with communication a lot. Breakfast is delicious. There are 5 variants, and you can choose any of them, depending on your health and current needs. Personally I was a fan of Fit and Healthy variant, since i have got stomach issues before we moved to this villa, and I swear, food here literally cured me. Room is cleaned every day. Everything, literally everything is made with love. I totally recommend this place for everyone, who is searching for calm atmosphere, home feeling, comfort, meditation opportunities and whatever else Bali can give 🙏♥️

This Resort has been my favourite week in 2 year fulltime travel. And that means a lot. The villa we had was beyond perfect. The staff was always happy, helpful and smiling. The garden... wow. It's a giant garden with a lovely pool, many flowers, lovebirds, wild butterflies, lots of beautiful dragonflies over the ponds filled with big goldfish. Many cute little huts with pillows near the pool to sit and relax. In the back of the resort garden there are horses and another cute hut with swings. Our children loved it! Oh and also, the owners have a sweet pet dog and in the garden there is a closet with many books and board games. The resort overlooks a beautiful rice field, i enjoyed watching the big, white birds over the field and hearing cricket sounds. Also lots of little, lovely geckos everywhere. Very nearby is the Bali Zoo and also the Bird Park and the Reptile Park. We've visited the Reptile park and it was lovely. But when you book here you won't need to leave, we loved staying at the resort the most. Feels like home in every way.

Directly located at beautifull rice terraces this place is definitely recommendable! The staff is great and caring, the surroundings are quiet although is it not to remote from interesting places. Great also for a trip to Ubud or some of the temples or waterfalls. Just do it!

A serene oasis. I loved soaking in a private outdoor bathtub, reading a top pillows on a little "island" surrounded by the fish pond, enjoying my delicious dinner in the outdoor lounge while looking out at the stars and wide open fields. The pool is perfect. Food was delicious. It was so peaceful and relaxing. I used the bicycle to explore the surrounding area. Everyone was so friendly and took great care of me.
