This place is very unique, not only in its position in Lombok but with its attachments or amenities. It has a huge vegetable and fruit garden and the produce is used in there cooking classes. A vegetarian paradise. All natural and fresh, oh and great tasting. The excess fruit is provided to the guests at no extra charge. When you drive through the gates, you are instantly surprised at how large the property is and also clean. The staff are very friendly and nothing is too much for them. There is a difference in how you feel, not like your in a hotel but in a friendly home. You come and go at your own leisure and provided with a secure gate pass. Breakfast is provided and I love eggs sunny side up on toast. Coffee and tea is also free. There is also available tours in particular trekking to Mt Rinjani. This is not for the casual hiker. I was fortunate to go on a trip. I met really nice local porters and they take all equipment up with them, which is about 25 kg per person. You travel 8.5 km to base camp then there’s another 5 km to the summit. No ropes or steps, just your feet guide showing the way. Is it worth it, you bet. Great views and a real achievement. But you must be fit and healthy and wear good hiking shoes- very important not to wear anything new. Make sure your gear is worn in. I know this is a big review, but I feel there is so much to mention. There is also a large swimming pool on the property, kept in good order. The room you stay in is quite large with king size bed and ensuite. Very clean and tidy and free wifi is provided. I have touched on the most important things and is one very satisfied customer. I definitely would recommend this Eco home stay and will be coming back again.

We found this place while looking for an Indonesian cooking class. When we booked the cooking class we decided to stay at the guest house as well, and I'm glad we did. The owner Chris is a great guy, his family and staff are wonderful people. We ended up doing the cooking class and snorkeling trip, which I would both recommend to everyone visiting Lombok. Chris even hooked us up with a trekker to climb the Rinjani volcano. All food at the guesthouse is homegrown in their garden and very tasteful. Would stay here again.

My husband and I had been looking at doing a cooking class while travelling. We found this on trip advisor and it had 5 star reviews. I messaged Chris to book and he came back straight away with what was available. We really enjoyed this course! We were shown around the kitchen garden and tasted some of the different fruit and veg that is growing, then we went onto cooking. The food we cooked was amazing and there was so much of it, we even had a box to take away. We were sent pdfs of the recipes to make again in the future. Pick up and drop off was included too. If you’re looking for something fun to do, I’d definitely recommend booking! 😁

Delicious! Our favourite afternoon in Indonesia! It was such an amazing experience learning about the different fruits and vegetables grown in the garden. The cooking class was very authentic and a great way to meet new people! We made a range of dishes which were all delicious! The class is well ran and very homely. I highly recommend this class!

Great cooking class! We were picked up from the hotel by Chris and then started with a walk round the garden looking at different fruit and vegetables that they grow and use. The cooking class was amazing and Dewi was a great teacher. The food we cooked tasted so good and I would definitely recommend you take a cooking course here!

We did the cooking class today. It was definitely a highlight during our short journey in Lombok. First of all we went through the huge garden. It was absolutely beautiful and you can clearly see, how much effort the family puts in it. Then we started cooking 4 dishes. It was a lot of fun and all our wishes (e.g. vegan food) were considered. The food was very authentic and delicious! Thank you very much for the great day!

truly Inspiring - stayed at the katamaran Sengiggi, Lombok in October 2022. They recommended the Anggrek Putih cooking class - an independent outfit. This was prompt, clean and comfortable. This is more than just a cooking class. It is a “real experience” of how their home grown produce are used by “students” to cook delicious Indonesian cuisine, under friendly guidance. They are passionate about their garden and their cooking. Their teaching facilities are absolutely superb, clean and a real pleasure to visit. Wow! What an incredible experience. From start to finish, Chris and his team had everything dialed. We were a group of 3 visiting from California on holiday and stumbled upon this gem via TripAdvisor and google. The communication prior to our class and tour was excellent, transportation was prompt and included and garden tour and cooking class was magnificent. It felt as if we were invited into a longtime family and friends home to cook a delicious meal. Lots of laughs and conversations shared and new cooking skills acquired! The best cooking class I have ever experienced. Chris and his beautiful wife + team showed us a very unique experience. We got to taste vegetables and herbs right off of the plants that they cultivate. They had the cutest dog named snowy too!! We will be back. I promise you - you won’t want to miss this experience. This was the best experience we had in all of our trip! Chris and Dewi opened up their kitchen and their hearts to us, no problem. It was so fun to make some delicious Indonesia dishes but most of all, they are just awesome people. They showed us their garden, gave us some history lessons, and were just being so friendly. Me and my girlfriend (soon to be fiance since Chris says so) had a blast ans can't thank them enough for everything.

We booked the Cooking Class with Anggrek Putih and loved it so much! We had a garden tour, we met their lovely dog Snowy, and made 8-9 dishes in total. Our host, Selma and Siti were very attentive, giving us clear instructions on how to prepare each dish as well as giving us the freedom to cook. This is a great activity to do with a big group. My family enjoyed every moment. Laughing, cooking and eating together!

The Indonesian cooking class was a culinary experience of the highest order. The familial atmosphere and the pick-up and drop-off service to the hotel made the day particularly enjoyable. The guided tour through the garden was not only interesting but also exciting in terms of taste, as almost all ingredients came directly from the garden. The hosts were extremely gracious, friendly, and the food simply fantastic. The idea of revisiting the class to savor all the delights once again speaks for itself. The communal feasting at the end, the sharing of leftovers, and the receipt of recipes via WhatsApp perfectly rounded off the experience. A clear recommendation!

I stayed at Anggrek Putih resort and enjoyed the snorkelling trip and the cooking class. I stayed in the upstairs unit. It was clean and had plenty of space. I had a panoramic view from the balcony – a serene ambiance. I was able to see the gardens and the resort pool. I was taken to a gili for a snorkelling adventure. We swam with the turtles and seahorses. It was a once in a lifetime opportunity. Thanks Chris! After we toured around the large market gardens, we each cooked Indonesian dishes as part of the cooking class. Good explanations by friendly staff. I enjoyed eating the dishes we cooked. 5 out of 5 stars!!! I had such a great time at the Anggrek Putih Cooking Class. The location is fantastic, the garden tour was fascinating and the cooking was so much fun. Staff are super friendly and look after you. They're fantastic teachers and you finish the day eating all creations you've made together as a group. I couldn't recommend this place more!!!

This was an incredible experience which I highly recommend for anyone visiting Lombok. Chris was able to book us in and pick us up even though we booked last minute and were out of the normal catchment area. After meeting our fellow chefs from the UK, Germany and Ireland, we had a tour of the garden. We had lots of chances to pick and sample fresh produce as Chris talked us through his process for maintaining the garden. The cooking class itself was a blast and we prepared a selection of local dishes including soups, curries, satay, fish cakes, fritters, noodles, and much more too. All the photos and recipes were shared after. Chris, Dima and the team are excellent hosts and really make you feel at home. This is a must for anyone wanting a unique experience whilst visiting Lombok.

We had so much fun with Chris and his team. We were picked up at our hotel and were with a group of 12 people in total. That seems a lot but it really didn’t feel that way! The set-up of the place was nicely done so it still felt intimate and you got to know the group. We started with a tour of the vegetable garden which truly was incredible. And so interesting! After that we started with the cooking. We made a few group photos (which were taken in a matter of minutes and, although cheesy, still fun). Each of us got to choose our own dish, and we were helped by the teachers during the process. They answered any questions you had and provided instructions. Afterwards we put our dishes on the table and had a lovely meal. All dishes were presented with so much care and looked so gorgeous! And most importantly they tasted amazing. Leftovers were divided over the group in handy boxes, for take away. We were brought back to a drop-off point different from our hotel, this was no problem. We even had a spectacular round of karaoke in the minivan on the way back, with Chris as our DJ ;) 10/10 would recommend!

Had such a fun time on this tour, I loved the garden tour and seeing how they grow everything. The owners were lovely and so helpful, my partner and I were stressed about getting a ferry and they even helped us book one in which was very much appreciated. Most importantly the food we cooked was delicious and we had leftovers so we even got dinner out of it as well. Overall this tour was such good value for money and would recommend to anyone wanting to do a fun activity in Lombok.

After enjoying so much great food across Indonesia we saw that there was a chance learn how to cook it, from garden to table. The reviews for the cooking class were all amazing so we went with high hopes. We were not disappointed. From booking via WhatsApp with really prompt and detailed responses, being collected in an air conditioned mini bus and being driven to the venue, welcome drink and getting to meet Chris and his lovely family and staff throughout the afternoon. After being shown the garden and whatever we’re going to be using we then cooked around 10 dishes across the group, helping each other out and with expert tuition throughout. Chris and Dewi make a great team with their assistants, making it really fun and very informative throughout. The cherry on top of the cake - you then get to eat a 10 course meal and the end with take away food for another day handed over at the end. You’ll need to be rolled out after so much food, but the included return transfer to our hotel made that really easy. You must do this activity!!!!

We loved this cooking class - the team was so approachable and kind, the garden was beautiful, the recipes were amazing, and just overall such an authentic and unforgettable experience. Would absolutely recommend and would participate again in the future if we return to Lombok! We would also consider staying at the guesthouse - looked very nice (we were staying at a nearby hotel).

Serene environment, large clean air conditioned rooms with balconies overlooking resort pool and gardens. Helpful staff. Cooking class well worth the time. Knowledgeable explanations and recipes, delicious Indonesian food enjoyed after tour of very large garden plot. Snorkeling adventure swimming with turtles and seahorses. Highly recommend this accommodation and hosts.

How I wish I had found this place earlier in my Lombok stay, would very happily have stayed a month or more. Lovely big, clean, handsome room. Well constructed buildings. Epic cleaning staff (Ningrum). Terrific chef (Christos): the best breakfast omelettes, stuffed with tomatoes and cheese; veggies grown in their garden. And very friendly courteous management (David) who definitely went the extra mile to ensure a good stay. I was very grateful to be comped a scooter for a day; and they arranged a ride to the airport very efficiently. The swimming pool is nice and clean. Laundry service good. I only have good things to say. The location is fine, poised mid-way between Mataram with the Epicentrum shopping centre, and the beaches of Senggigi.

Nice relaxed atmosphere, no masterchef competition here, so no pressure because you will be fully instructed on the meal you make and at the end you get to taste and share the delicious meals you have created from scratch, no jars of paste here. This has to be the most welcoming, warm and accomodating guest house I've stayed in. The room was comfortably air conditioned the gardens are amazing and interesting, the breakfasts were delicious and the team were helpful, kind and lovely. The place was nice and clean throughout the stay as well. Further, I can highly recommend the cooking class and tours that are available, these were the highlight of our holiday so far. Amazing garden and wonderful afternoon cooking class. The garden very nice and lot of veggies. We walk in the garden and crop some of veggies to use in cooking class, so fresh everything from their garden. We love it very much this activity as we never seen in a capital city. For those who loves natural beauty, must to do this cooking class. Quick response for reservation, affordable price and flexible for those who have restriction of food or vegetarian, just mention it and that’s it so easy.

I was very lucky to find this great place. Initially, I booked the room for a one-day stay at Anggrek Putih, but it turned out I extended the stay for another 2 days because I enjoyed staying at Anggrek Putih. The place is amazing, they have a nice pool, a lot of plants and a garden. The room is large and clean, and it has a mini-refrigerator. If you plan to work remotely from Lombok, it’s a great place to stay, because the internet is fast and the place is quiet and cozy. Chris the owner made my stay so memorable, he was very friendly, helpful, caring, warm, nice, and talkative. He treated me like family and made me feel like at home. I definitely would recommend this place and will be coming back again.

A very good and beautiful house, clean pool, great owner. Good food, veggie and organic food because they have Greek cooking class! Full transport service, we are allowed to borrow the motorcycle or car. Full time access to go out and back because they give us the front gate key!
