Manage by mr. Wayan & mr. Made. With mr. Alan as head of Astina yacht crew. Best place to visit for all kind of exiting water sports and a yacht cruise with our main vessel Astina, a 55 foot sportfisher cabin cruiser. An adventure trip to all nusa and gili islands.

I wanted to do the horseriding with swimming. I know that horses which are used for touristic horseriding are not always well treated, and I wouldn t have chosen this place but it was recommended by someone so I decided to go there. They didnt ask me anything ( like if I have any riding expirience) and one of the staff told me that "the horse guide" will pick me up. (I thought to bring me to the stables) In fact a guy came with a horse. At this point I aleady noticed that something went terribly wrong. I could barely close the helmet, the saddle was very uncomfortable and the horse was a really poor thing. First it was very scared, the guide tried to calm the horse down. As a expierenced rider i didnt care much about the nervousity but I was glad that my boyfriend (who has no expierence) decided to do the seawalking and not to join me.We went to a lake and the horse didnt want to go in so the guide tried to pull it in.. I asked him to stop. After a few more minutes back on our way I decided to get down. I preferd walking. I tried to have some conversation with the guy but he speaks only a few words in English. A conversation was not possible, he ask me if I am tired because I didnt want to keep on riding..When we went back he started to appolgize for the "bad" horse. I told him that the horse is not in a good condition and I told him about the horses in my country, he said he was sorry. It was not a long ride but a long walk (no cantor nor galopp..not a happy horse.) Back in the golden beach club i told them.about my bad expierience but there was no option to get my 99$ back. Poor horse and I can t recommend to do the horseriding there- maybe it is different concernig other activities except the horseriding.I will never come back.

My wife and I signed up for Turtle island, the glass bottomed boat, and parasailing. We left our resort around 9:15AM and were there in about 15min. The whole excursion was over before noon and cost almost 3 million RP. Turtle island had been advertised to us as a natural sanctuary for sea turtles, the truth was quite the opposite. Sea turtles, monkeys, birds, snakes, iguanas and bats all stripped from their natural habitats and caged, chained and made to suffer in terrible conditions. My wife cried at the sight of it. Fortunately after leaving we stopped at the local turtle conservation and education centre for a glimpse of hope. The workers there were wonderful and truly cared for the animals and the work they were doing. As for the glass bottomed boat, we had a port about 1’ wide by 3’ long in the center of the boat back from turtle island to view the murky, lifeless water below while the boat raced the waves at full speed. Figuring the parasailing “adventure” would be the one highlight to our day, we stuck around after the disappointment of the first hour, only to be taken back out in another boat through choppy water to get to the boat providing the parasailing. On the way out, the boat driver was going way too fast over a wake and nearly sent my wife and I flying overboard. On the way back down my elbow struck the side of the boat resulting in an injury. Parasailing itself was an underwhelming 2-3minute circle around a crowded bay, harnessed in very old and poor equipment. Don’t let the other reviews mislead you, this place is awful.

10/10 day. We weren’t able to do the snorkelling and fly fish due to the wind but they definitely made up for it with other activities. Everyone was so lovely!
