We had a very comfortable classy Indonesian lunch here. The service, food and atmosphere were great justifying the slightly higher price. We ordered the Nasi Goreng, Nasi Campur and the Kambing Curry.

Portions are small and overpriced. The food itself tastes good, it's well cooked. But the restaurant seems to be trying to portray an artisan presentation where the food appearance is most important. Have you ever eaten at an over priced French restaurant? Got the Instagram picture and then went to burger King because you left starving? That's this place. Probably a good date spot if your date doesn't eat. I left starving. Won't be back. Place looks nice tho, and the staff are friendly. I would have been happy to pay more for a normal sized portion, even though the price was already twice what our usual breakfast place charges.

We used to come here a few times years ago before we moved to Bali and since we haven't been here again for ages we decided to come again to get a quick breakfast before heading to the vet. Turns out that they've renovated it with a new concept as it's now different from the last time we visited. Ordered two fried rice with extra shrimps which were good, though the portion was a bit small in my opinion. The atmosphere is great overall so I think it's recommended. Service was okay and staffs were friendly. The cafe is pet friendly btw. Parking is right next to the cafe so it's convenient enough.

Came here for dinner on a Friday night and they just reopened after being closed during covid. Beautiful ambiance and a great place to go for a nice dinner! Wide variety of Indonesian food and they even have a kids menu. Food was delicious and service was amazing! Will come back again soon.

Loved the vibes of this place! Came here and tried their beef cheek rendang, which was done perfectly. Would recommend checking this place out - they have a good variety of local and western dishes, and prices are alright.

Good to be back again to Batu Jimbar Cafe after a very long time. It has a new look and more vibrant and cozy. They still have the nice selection of good pastries and cakes. The kripik tempe as complimentary snack were good. We order Nasi Campur and Duck Curry. Taste was good but I think personally it was too mild. Needs more kick and strong flavor for certain food like the Kalio beef also the Thai style curry duck could be more thicker curry sauce.

We've passed by many times and finally tried this. It was a Sunday so they had the pop-up market as well and we managed to grab some delicious homemade kuih at the pop-up. We ordered the Rijsttafel for 2 pax. No regrets. It was super delicious and flavourful. We also had the Pineapple Carrot Cake. This was equally good and not too sweet. Will have to come back!

We stumbled across this place and thank god we did! So so good! Best Nasi Campur we’ve ever had and we’ve had a few. Brekkie is great too!

Good ambience restaurant serving both Indonesian and western food. Tasty but not so spicy Indonesian food. Good attentive service. Gellato shop in the front for passby patrons. Small deli with quite some good stuffs too.

We woke up really this morning and just wanted to go somewhere for breakfast. Nothing was open around 630-7am. We walked around and then found this spot open. Service is great. But the portions are very small and a bit overpriced. I can not recommend it. There are better places that open around 730AM that are nearby.

Went here early in the morning for breakfast. The staff let us in a few minutes before opening and were very friendly, the service was wonderful too. We had Nasi Goreng, Sourdough Pancake and an Iced Latte. The nasi goreng wasn’t anything special, just the typical nasi goreng. The pancakes were pretty good, but the coconut topping was super sour; not a big fan of that. The iced latte was also pretty good, came with some sugar for personal taste. The portions were a little small, it didn’t fill me up or my partner, for such prices I’d expect more.. The Cafe was beautiful. It gives a cozy warm vibe, especially in the rainy morning we had. The toilets were super clean and beautifully designed too, but the parking was a little hard for cars.

Haven‘t tried dishes. Just coffee and mango pie. Both were great. Just what i needed after a long trip. But what attracted me: music. Soft deep jazz that makes your body melt. P.S.: dog friendly, Shasta approved

Great looking restaurant that some how blends in too well and easily missed - and it's not small at all! Look for this place the food is fantastic, especially the breakfast. They go the extra mile for quality food and an appetizing presentation. Great place. Go.

Food: Good taste with an attractive look. Affordable price with comparable quality and taste. Service: The service is agile and responsive and friendly and helps every time we need something. Atmosphere: The condition of parking motorbikes and cars is spacious, although not much, but cukum entered 10 or even more cars in the parking lot. The atmosphere in the cafe is very clean and neat. Comfortable for meetings, or working from a cafe here. Wifi is sometimes slow. Full table if you come during mealtime (I come at lunchtime and queue to get a table)

I had rice with two dishes. One of them was Gulai Kambing, which was very nice and hearty feeling food. I cannot remember the other. Both muttons were very tender and easily eaten. This restaurant has both an inside and outside dine-in area. Service was wonderful. They were prompt on the order and payment followup. Restaurant ambience was also good. No loud music, so definitely friendly for family gathering.

If you intend to spur on a classy Indonesia food experience, this is the place. We spent Rp1.2mil for 4 persons yet didn't really fill out stomach 😅. Ambience and Presentation is first class, unfortunately food taste and flavours mediocre. P. S.:- Not worth for foodie to visit

This is legendary place is been a while established. The range of food is great. They have equal amount of local and western dishes that you can order. Don't forget the Sunday market, you have to order the Nasi kuning, manadonese style that is so delicious

long time favorite comfort food restaurant. their best walnut carrot cake is awesome, juicy and balance. i always take their indonesian dishes which is very nice. recently i have es teler and also very high quality since all the materials are fresh. lagend!

Charming restaurant, very friendly staff and good food, highly recommended. They have a Sunday market with super tasty food as well

  • 2/5 Advantours 5 years ago on Google
Went there for the food at Sunday bazaar. Looked for more traditional snacks (jajan pasar) but they didn't have many of the ones I used to buy so I bought the yellow saffron rice instead. The taste was pretty bland for an Indonesian. Never really like the food here, they just got the famous name from their ceramic factories and the deli. The atmosphere is great though and they just extended the car park area too.

The best cakes great service and super duper good food so I think coffee is the best bit as good as any you'll get an Australia. We almost dismissed it as it looked large and empty when in fact it's just large comfortable clean with lots of smiles and clean toilets.

One of our favourite places to eat in Sanur. Indoor or outdoor seating options. Good aircon and toilets. Extensive menu (which they will adjust to suit your needs) and attentive service. Their signature salad is a seasonally changing dish and always good. You can add any protein you would like to it too.

  • 5/5 Louise S. 1 year ago on Google
Batu Jimbar renovated during Covid and the Restaurant is now beautifully appointed. Alway a visit from us while visiting Sanur for either Brekky or Lunch and now open for evening meals. Their food and presentation is wonderful. Table ware was created by local potters. A little fresh food market is held at the Restaurant on a Saturday morning. A visit is a must.

Back here again after their renovation, remember we were here probably 3 yrs ago. Love the ambiance, it's place that you will be willing to take the day slow and enjoy the day. Seating are much comfortable and the ambience are much calming thanks to lighting and air conditioning. Good food and drinks as usual, love to see that Sanur matured enough to be the next destination for younger visitors. With several new hotel along these Jalan Tamblingan. To the Management : pls bring back Perkedel Jagung 😃

While I can't recall the last time I visited Cafe Batu Jimbar, I've always been drawn to its menu and sense of community. Following their post-covid renovation, the cafe has truly shone. The indoor space boasts a range of seating options, from lounge and bar seating to long communal tables and smaller dining tables for two or four people. The lighting has been updated as well, with modern indirect lighting that enhances the dining experience. The menu offered a variety of exciting options, and we were tempted to try everything. We highly recommend the beef and mushroom baos as starters, as well as the salmon mango salad and asparagus avocado salad. The dishes were well-seasoned with just the right amount of spice and salt, and the dressings were delicious. We also enjoyed the flat white and cappuccino, while the pandan creme brulee was the perfect way to end the meal, with its excellent consistency and delightful pandan sweetness. I would like to acknowledge the attentive and cheerful staff who made our dining experience even better. Their smiles and warm service truly made a difference. Thank you!

Delicious food, friendly waiters and fast service. A great way to taste authentic Indonesian dishes but they also have a good offering of western style food. We tried the Chicken satay and plate of Indonesian Vegetarian side dishes, pictured (this dish is vegan apart from half a boiled egg, which I'm sure you could ask them to leave out).

The tofu salad was lackluster and had too many onions, but the tofu itself was tasty. And the fresh coconut did have fresh coconut bits inside but came in a glass instead of an actual coconut. However, the service was fantastic and the overall vibe was nice and relaxing. The decor was also really nice with a modern Indonesian vibe.
