We
came
here
on
a
Thursday
mid-afternoon
after
reading
rave
reviews
about
the
famous
all
you
can
eat
Sunday
roast.
So
we
thought
why
not
try
out
their
food
first,
and
if
we
had
any
questions
about
any
changes
to
the
Sunday
roast,
better
to
ask
them
in
person.
And
boy,
I’m
glad
we
did,
because
after
lunch,
it
was
one
of
those
experiences
where
we
vouch
to
never
return.
It
was
a
slow
afternoon,
we
were
the
only
customers
in
the
restaurant.
We
were
seated
by
a
waiter
that
seemingly
had
plenty
difficulty
conversing
in
English.
We
were
handed
the
menus
and
after
reviewing
we
asked
the
waiter
a
few
questions
regarding
the
set
lunch.
What‘s
in
the
Pumpkin
Arrancini?
Don’t
know.
What
type
of
Brushetta
are
available?
Don’t
know.
What
is
the
dessert
of
the
day?
Don’t
know.
After
a
few
glances,
we
told
the
waiter,
why
don’t
you
go
back,
check
with
the
chef
and
then
come
back
to
let
us
know.
He
promptly
walked
to
the
back,
with
a
full
staff
of
2
other
waitresses
and
seemingly
a
manager
on
duty
or
the
owner
of
the
restaurant.
He
came
back,
told
us
that
the
Arrancini
was
a
pumpkin
fig
salad.
Which
IMO
sounded
delicious,
but
to
our
dismay,
was
something
else.
Romaine,
tomatoes
and
toasted
bread
with
an
olive
oil
dressing.
Well
fine.
We
were
hungry
didn’t
want
to
return
the
dish
due
to
miscommunication.
Then
come
to
the
part
about
the
Bruschetta,
he
really
had
a
tough
time
explaining
that
the
different
types
the
restaurant
serves,
so
another
waitress
had
to
step
in
and
come
clarify
with
us.
The
thing
is,
when
you
have
specials
such
as
set
lunches,
make
your
menus
clear!
Print
the
options
available,
instead
trying
to
squeeze
all
the
information
into
one
small
corner
of
the
menu.
After
serving
our
appetizers,
we
waited
close
to
30
minutes
and
our
entrees
were
no
where
in
sight.
In
fact,
the
manager
actually
sat
down
with
some
sort
a
vip
client
on
the
table
right
beside
us,
and
even
had
her
food
served
before
us!
At
no
point
in
any
time,
the
manager
made
the
effort
to
introduce
himself
or
came
to
ask
us
about
our
food.
After
trying
to
get
the
waitress
attention
about
our
entree,
the
manager
suddenly
got
up
and
yelled
loudly
to
the
back,
signaling
the
staff’s
attention.
We
were
caught
off
guard,
and
personally
seemed
inappropriate.
Lastly,
we
wished
there
was
more
care
put
into
the
food.
The
overwhelmingly
sour
pickles
drenched
my
bruschetta
and
made
it
soggy
and
sloppy
to
eat.
The
pasta
was
cooked
well,
but
the
pomodoro
sauce
was
overly
acidic
and
also
on
the
sour
side.
My
partner
ordered
the
grilled
chicken,
which
was
only
a
few
pieces
of
sliced
fillet,
that
was
probably
the
safer
thing
on
the
menu.
I
don’t
know,
maybe
we
ordered
the
wrong
things
on
the
menu.
Overall,
we
paid
179k
for
both
set
lunches.
The
price
was
fair,
including
all
the
++
and
nothing
really
special.
It’s
no
wonder
why
the
Italian
place
down
the
road
packed
with
people.
For
the
same
amount,
you’ll
probably
get
a
feast
with
better
tasting
food
and
service.
The
ultimate
crux
for
this
place
is
the
cold
and
terrible
service,
and
forgettable
food.
If
you
cannot
carry
a
decent
conversation
and
engage
with
your
only
paying
customers
on
a
slow
day,
then
I
don’t
what
will
help
improve
your
business.
