Place vs Price 👎👎👎👎👎 I have come to this place anytime I craved good decent Indian Food for years. Alas! apparently pandemic just made the downside of this resto much more visible to naked eyes. I eat alot varian of Indian Food from native Indian Chef. And my last dining at this place just showed that I awesomely overpaid my Indian Food meals. Indian Food in here tend to be quite pricey but as long as compensated with a good meal it's still okay But, this place, is definitely aging long before covid, so with what I paid, with the price list, service in overall were totally in my opinion not worth re-visiting. When you entered the location, you can see array of raw papandam being dried up in front of the resto, just like lower class warung kinda situation. The interior has always been the same kinda ambience just now clearly aging alot. Basically clean but also clearly shabby. Food: Below below below expectations I ordered: 👎Cheese Garlic too oily and can't taste the cheese. I only ate half and asked for a takeaway and quiet surprised that they only wrap it in paper instead if giving it in box, i meant, come on.. i paid 37K +15 tax&serv and they couldn't be more generous in giving me a takeaway box that cost at most 3K ? 😓 errr... 👎👎Vegetable Biryani the spices were crumbled to smaller pieces and mixed with the rice and made the while chewing experience unbearable coz I had to bit them most of the time ans taste the bitterness then had the inconvenience of pulling it off my mouth which kinda hygienic. 👎Palak Paneer taste so so 👍Masala Chai the only thing that met my expectation The green mint condiment was absolutely just green runny super watery yogurt, dem.. where were the old recipes that was super taste?! Soft Indian music was played and mix with the loudness of the staff doing the video call at the corner. One of the waitress was kind always on standby and alert facing my direction, and for this I highly appreciate her effort. So, honestly, money is tight nowadays, and I wish to spend money wisely so, the kept increased priced vs not appealing ambience + shabby vs what I experienced in overall, was a big disappoinment and never again return. Better try to find other alternatives

I’ve been branch of this restaurant in Kuta. I have good memory about there. But, I was disappointed in Sanur. Staffs were kind and helpful. But Tanduri chicken was not soft and moist. Cheese nann was too salty. Chai tea was barely taste. And too much expensive :(

The food tasted all right but way overpriced. I mean around 40k for just plain rice? Garlic naan didn’t really taste garlicky. Nice waitstaff.

I very rarely write reviews, but given the high quality of food at this place, I want this restaurant to survive and for the chefs to keep their jobs. That said, if this branch of the 'Gateway of India' chain cares to survive, then its staff need to seriously up their game. We've literally just come back from an attempt to dine at this restaurant. But upon arrival, we were 'greeted' by the entire staff who were lounging at the bar, and who then just stared at us with a smirk. You'd think given that there wasn't a single customer in the restaurant at this prime time (Saturday at 7pm), that they'd be relieved to have someone visit. Instead, they gave us a very unwelcome impression with their rude smirks. We left immediately. Classic example of Bali tripping over itself.

The food is super oily, the woman managing the restaurant rude, and the prices way too high given the small portion sizes. I ordered takeout and specifically asked for no oil repeatedly. When I got to my hotel room and opened up the food, I found it swimming in oil, didn't even want to take a bite. Mistakes happen, which is understandable, so I just took the food back to the restaurant to request a refund (I didn't even take a bite of the oily mess, and I didn't trust them to get my order right a second time). At first, they denied that there was even any oil, when there was clearly a pool of oil on top and a film of oil that coated the plastic bag. Then, after begrudgingly acknowledging the dish contained oil, they refused to give a refund, claiming it was somehow impossible to give us a refund because we had paid by credit card. Only after arguing with them for a while did they relunctantly give us a refund.

Family meal out last week. It was good food a tad expensive. I.e poppodom was $2.80 for one. Currys fresh nan breads very small. .we were the only ones in the restaurant which felt odd. Service slow and unattentive. Waitress chatting to the cashier all night with very little attention given to us. When it came to paying. Asked for the bill 10 mins later still waiting turned out they were hand writing it. Gave the money over cashier dropped a note behind her desk and said I was short. Paid the extra with no argument but knew what she had done it was so obvious. 3 stars for the food as not a bad curry but be cautious is my advise.

Getting vegetarian food was a challenge, so finally landed into our home side food & had a great taste. Felt the same Indian taste. Maintained the spices and taste essence. Not too costly.

Following points Observed :- 1) Order delivered to Table in 15 mins (empty restaurant just us) 2) Add ons were delivered quick and perfectly. (Like pickle and onions) 3) ALL INDIAN BREADS were amazing, We ordered DAL MAKHNI (As I expected) and DUM AALO KASHMIRI (close to what is expected, 3/5). 4) No live music but Bollywood light songs were played (With good choice of relaxing songs) 5) No additional fees for the Card Payment 6) Waiter wasn’t familiar with dishes but did his job as expected, when there was a doubt he went and clarified instead of giving fake answers or guesses (which is better according to me) 7) Good Vegetarian menu available.

Somewhere over the last couple of years I kind of got burnt out on Indian food but after passing gateway of India in Sanur We decided to stop in. It was an excellent meal, everything was cooked perfectly just like in India, 100% legit tasting food. I really enjoyed it and will return again soon.

Being on holiday and had a taste for some home cooked food. This place definitely did fail to surprise me. IT WAS AMAZING. It puts some local restaurants in London to shame. We went twice in 5 days. Pani Puri, Fish, prawns, naan, all fresh and lots of taste. Would DEFINITELY recommend this place for real traditional tasty food

Fabulous food.... Great price . The only negative was the waitress who served us ... never seen one as miserable . Looked very uninterested, and appeared she really didn't want to be there !!!! The waitress in question was pregnant . Even the 2 young girls at the front apologised and said she was tired.

Best Indian food in sanur by far for taste . Not the best looking restaurant. But food quantity is amazing very authentic. If your looking for North Indian food and all you care about is the food , this is the place to go.

Don't bother. The chicken vindaloo was a few bits of chicken, some of which was ropy. The few pieces of potatoes were okay but I wanted chicken not potato vindaloo... Also, the sauce was suposed to be hot, not medium. The nan bread was tasteless and was thin and crispy like pita bread. At western prices (yes, this place charges plus plus!) this should have been an excellent meal. I was so disappointed I just wolfed it down so I could enjoy my Bintang while watching the Sanur traffic whizz by. I do not recommend.

Ordered boneless lamb and something else(main) with cucumber raita, plain naan, and garlic naan. Portion was enough for one, which I like as i feel like portions here is too big at most places. Flavor wise, can’t fault it. Best dish we’ve had in Bali. Raita was so good. Servers are attentive too. It’s an outdoor restaurant, it can get hot but food is real good. I love chai, I make my own back home. This restaurant makes good quality chai too.

Really good service, good menu. We had chicken tikka Masala one mild one spicy. It wasn’t mega spicy but nice. Lovely pilau rice but the garlic Nan was spot on!! Generous glass of wine too 😀

The food was the best Indian we have had in Bali. We had dahi puri and a masala Dosa each. Fresh and v tasty. Forgot to take photo of the Dosas . Would recommend coming here.

The best part is it is on the main beach street, so you enjoy good views and the thing i like the most was, when we entered the hotel, the started playing bollywood songs. This shows that they really care about there customer. Staff was very helpful and friendly, they made us full comfortable and i just lived the service. Service was fast and upto the mark. If you dont like Balinese food, this place is for you.. we ordered thali CHIKEN THALI... And trust me the taste for perfectly indian.... The cook was from Punjab, thats why the food has the perfect punjabi taste... Rates are bit normal like we got Chiken Thali for 1,50,000 IDR, bit high... But it was worth spending because one thali is sufficient for a good appetite oerson and for a heavy meal... They also gave a veg sabji and that also had 4-5 options... Ambience give you a feeling of indian dhaba... Overall a good Experience.. Have visited this place 2 time already... Wanted a quick dinner so looked around for this place in Google. It is around 3kms from Sanur beach port area. Welcoming staff and I ordered only curd rice and it was nice and almost close to what u get in India. This place is easily traceable and Google maps will show you it's exact location
