One of the nicest hotels I’ve ever stayed in. The room was huge, immaculately clean and included a garden courtyard. Everything was tastefully furnished and decorated. There are beautiful artworks all around the hotel, including an in-house art gallery. There’s a scenic garden within the hotel, which is very peaceful. The food at the restaurant was delicious and reasonably priced. The pool was clean and a big size. It was enjoyable to sit by the pool reading a book I borrowed from the on-site library. The staff went above and beyond to help me when I lost my only bank card. They even drove me to Western Union to get some cash! Every night the room service would bring me a bed time story and some cookies. It was very sweet. There are free bikes to use, so I enjoyed riding alone the beach on my first day there. I would stay at Sudamala again and recommend it to anyone seeking a luxurious stay in Sanur!

Although this resort is not on the beach, it’s definitely worth a visit. The staff are amazing and the rooms are gorgeous. Food is excellent and it’s well positioned within walking distance of everything you will need. Highly recommend a stay here.

Stayed here for three nights. This hotel is far from being 5 star, it's just disappointing. Our room was spacious but that's the only positive. They charge for drinking water in the room.... Towels are worn to holes ... And it is very very very noisy: you can hear the noise from the street, families are welcome so do expect kids running in the inner yard plus they play some local instruments at 9am. If you look for a classy place go elsewhere 🙂

While I was only there for the short quarantine period, I would definitely recommend it for usual holiday stays as well! The design and finishes of the hotel were excellent. And moreover, the staff was so welcoming, accommodating, kind and helpful. Enjoyed every moment of my stay🏝🤍

We stayed here for 8 nights and really enjoyed everything about this accomadation, it was quiet , friendly and relaxed, the pool area is nice and my wife used the spa services a couple of times, breakfast selection was adequate and they make a great coffee. All the staff were so friendly and attentive , gardens were neat and clean a credit to the young guy who was always working quietly with consideration of the guests.

The best aspect of Sudamala is the staff. They were so professional and also genuine and relaxed, happy to have a chat. The grounds and rooms are beautiful. It’s the most comfortable bed I have ever slept in, the sheets were so soft and our room was serviced daily with great care and consideration. In the evening they bring mosquito coils and a bedtime story (stories of green giants and great battles and love). A magical place.

While not a huge resort, Sudamala is big on customer service. From the security guard that greeted us upon arrival late at night, to the grounds people, reception & room teams, all were very welcoming & there is a real sense of gratitude for choosing Sudamala. Nothing was too much trouble & the staff were there to assist in any ways, without being intrusive. Thanks to everyone for making our first visit to Sanur, a very pleasant experience.

This is a very nice place for its price. It’s very quiet and peaceful here. The rooms are very clean. The shower fittings are a little old but work well. We loved the trees and grass area. The pool is also beautiful. Breakfast was average felt like Bali menu 20 years ago. Coffee wasn’t not that great. In general the place is worth it’s price. The staff is very good and helpful.

I simply cannot say enough positive words about my experience at the Sudamala Resort. Today I will check out with a heart filled with gratitude for all of the kindness, love and tenderness I received during my quarantine stay here. If I never saw another bit of Bali, I could leave knowing that this place is filled with beautiful People. I highly recommend you choose this resort. Not just for quarantine, but for all of your vacation plans in Bali. Sudamala is a Palace and your every need will be accommodated. EVERYONE and EVERYTHING was perfect. I had a downstairs bungalow, with a beautiful patio on the garden. All day you hear the lovely sounds of Indonesian flute and the smell of relaxing incense and lush greenery. Look no further than Sudamala Resort.

From the very friendly and helpful staff to the soft beds cold A/C this place is a must stay while in Sanur. The buildings are well maintained and new feel with some older style doors and nice artworks which make it feel like Bali not a building with no feel. The pool is clean and fresh towels as you need. Thank you

We sadly only had 2 nights at Sudamala, Sanur and wished we'd booked for longer. Beautiful resort, lovely landscaped gardens and pool. Good location, within short walking distance from the beach. Staff are great, helpful and welcoming. Lovely touches such as putting slippers out by your bed in the evening and cookies and a bedtime story on your bed. Super comfortable bed and room. Breakfast is a la carte. We will return to Sudamala. Thank you for a relaxing stay.

We had a really lovely stay at Sudamala Resort. The rooms were beautiful and the staff were so friendly and helpful. The hotel is located at the quieter end of Sanur, but there were still plenty of restaurants and reliable money changers around. Strongly recommend, wonderful stay!

Sunur has a secret... the Sudamala! Best service, very friendly and relaxed staff. Traditional feel to this tranquil resort that's not too big , the staff remember you here. Breakfast is really lovely and your evening meals are stunning. Every evening, you get a mosquito coil on your balcony and a bed time story with wonderful morals. The pool is lovely and the grounds are beautiful. Best driver in Bali is right across the road on the corner...tell him Vicky and Brett from NZ sent you. 👌 Enjoy your stay xx Ps: we will be back, see you soon. 😘

Beautiful hotel and especially lovely swimming pool to rest & chill. The staff was very friendly, always ready to help. The room was amazing (modern, big, well equipped) but very humid : the sheets were a little bit damp, as well as a much too soft mattress, that made the bed not very comfortable.

A wonderful experience. Clean resort and very well maintained. The staff are very helpful and friendly. Overall a exceptional stay, including the food, the art, and overall Balinese experience. I gave them 5 stars for the beautiful resort, hospitality, coziness, maintenence and food. Highly recommend if you'd like a resort not overcrowded, and not too far from the beach.

The rooms are severely outdated and my room has obvious signs and smells of mould. Shower doesn't work correctly and frequently goes hot and cold. Staff seem to be friendly with greetings, but having noisy custodian trolleys being pushed around before 6am isnt relaxing, as well as having cleaners being noisy in court yard at similar times doesnt allow sleeping in. I cant come to terms with the highest possible service tax being charged. I just didnt find the service to be anything spectacular. I didn't expect that a morning coffee would be more expensive than what I pay in Australia. They also have incredibly early closing times for the pool facilities, no doubt due to a complete lack of lighting in and around the pool area. I scrimp and save to stay at the more luxurious accomodations in bali, this just isn't what I consider value for money. If you're picky like me, I'd be more inclined to look at the more critical reviews. If you're easy going and can look past many of the things mentioned, it may be for you.

Stayed for 4 nights over Christmas. Bathrooms can do with an upgrade. Had some laundry done, and they lost our laundry for a day. Did manage to find it, though. They had some ceremony while we were there, and it was very loud and obtrusive, extending into the night while we tried to sleep. Was offered a free massage at the spa but could not find a booking time while staying there.

We had a lovely stay, only one night though. Room was very clean, service was fantastic, and the hotel provided free push bikes to explore Sanur. The breakfast was also very good, great coffee, juices and food.

The Sudamala Resort in Sanur is a lovely hotel. It’s a short distance to the beach (6-8 mins walk), supermarket (5 mins walk), restaurants, spa, laundry and local gyms. I stayed for six nights over Nyepi and a top floor room overlooking the garden. It was a well appointed and spacious room with a high ceiling and excellent internet speed and reliability that you can switch on and off. The toilet has a built in bidet and the water pressure in the shower was rather weak. Lovely gardens throughout the complex with warm Balinese hospitality. I would stay here again.

Amazingly beautiful boutique resort best for couples, nestled in the corner of quiet Sanur. Lovely architecture, interior design, and very comfortable room. They have spacious green space and art gallery. Have been recommending this hotel to a few friends, and they all love it! Highly recommended!

My stay here exceeded expectations. My room was beautiful and bed was so comfortable. Excellent location and use of bicycle was very handy to explore the area. I highly recommend the massage here, the scented oil I chose was so beautiful I bought a bottle. The best part of my stay were the staff. All were so friendly and accommodating. Overall excellent value for money.

Very comfortable resort In Sanur. The place is quite and have a quite big garden. The room are great, the service is fine and the staffs are helpful. It has one big pool. My favorite part of this hotel is the vibe is very natural and so green. Last but not least, I love the architectures and listening to the bird's singing in the morning.

Earlier this year I stayed only for one night at this lovely resort hotel. That one night followed up with 4 nights months after, then 8 nights just last week for B20- and G20-related events. Sanur is always my choice if I need to be in Denpasar for work and/or vacation since decades ago, and I believe that Sudamala Resort is among the very best hotels to stay in the area.

It's not the grand gestures of Love that matters, but the little things, the small things, the unseen & unacknowledged moments that makes it special. So Sudamala and her team of service folks have rendered me speechless. I've stayed in 5 stars and luxury hotels all over the world, but none have impressed me as much as Sudamala. From the moment you walk into the grounds off the busy street of Sanur, you will be greeted by SILENCE. A sense of calm, an oasis of peace. Then the smiles, the amazing food, the small art gallery, the soft soft bed, the little Night Time Story sent to your door, the lighting of candles & mosquito coil in your balcony.... the list goes on. I have come to Bali more than 10 times and wasn't too keen on returning. But after this? You better believe I will be coming back to stay here and detach from the world. Thank you team!

Wonderful place to stay at the south end of Sanur. Nice pool, nice rooms, convenient location, lots of good cafes around it. There's some nice walks in the back streets and on the sea front. 5 stars all around.

Such a lovely place. Truly friendly service, clean and comfy rooms (had first floor overlooking the garden) and wonderful swimming pool which we enjoyed each day. Plus a good location close to restaurants and few minutes walk to the beach. All in all a great stay and we'll be back...

This beautiful resort is suited to those who want the perfect place to rest and relax. All aspects of the resort services were of a high quality and staff were super helpful and keen to assist in any way possible. The gardening staff do an outstanding job in providing a very tranquil and pretty environment no matter where you look. I think we have found our "go to" restorative place.

Stayed at first floor overlooking the garden. Beautiful clean luxurious rooms. Helpful friendly staff. Nice swimming pool at backyard. Art all around in the hotel. With great breakfast. Just few minutes walking to the beach with lot of shops and restaurants nearby, their own restaurant is very good and less expensive than the resorts on the beach. Very cosy relaxed and secure feel.

The place looks amazing. Though the food. 🧐 We are a family of 3. We tried their breakfast deal that was discounted almost 50% off the original price. 1. Ordered a baby chino for my 2 yr old. Comes out boiling hot. 2. The pancake taste like baking powder. Metal taste in the mouth. My baby loves pancake , but that day she wouldn’t even touch the pancakes 3.eggs Benedict , they used the edge of the loaf so it was all crust and very small. The cold cut that was included was finished in a grilled to achieved grilled marks but ended up making the ham plastic taste. 4. Granola, it’s not granola. I think It was supposed to be a Bircher that is not soaked😅 Tasted like paper in your mouth. Sent my feedback to the assistant gm but we really ddnt get any from him. We have been checking most of the places in sanur. There’s so much good food around and good quality compare to what they have. Maybe until they have refreshed their menu I won’t go back there.

The Sudamala Hotel is absolutely gorgeous, an exceptional boutique hotel centrally located in Sanur within walking distance to Mertasari Beach. We booked our stay for a couple of weeks and ended up staying two months..... Very hard to leave this place! The facilities are kept impeccable with rooms very spacious and beautifully decorated, but what made our stay so special was the top service provided. The General Manager, Koen has an incredible team working for him that went above and belong to help us with any request. A special shout to the chef for a diverse menu of both Indonesian and International dishes that were consistently well prepared and presented. We love everything about this place and without a doubt we will be staying here again. Job well done Koen in running this five star hotel!

We were absolutely pleased by the attention of the staff, the cleanness, design, fantastic gardens. It’s very peaceful, better than to be on the beach. Wake up to bird songs, and stroll to the beach for a morning walk. Come back for a breakfast on the terrace surrounded by fish ponds. An absolute gem!
