They have comfortable residence and a nice view. But the employees seem not ready to accept criticism, when my sister found a fly in her food and complained, they no longer treated my sister like the other guests.

A butterfly in the making… it’s clear this hotel, like so many, has been hit hard by covid. Rooms are a bit tired, facilities a bit worn and sales pitches inaccurate. (ie currently no playground, nor kids club, nor poolside bar with alcoholic beverages… aspects that sold it to me online) It does have a certain charm and the gardens are very pretty and tropical. The banquet dinners and dances at night were lovely, although cocktails would have made them even lovelier. There’s lots of construction work going on just outside the hotel so it was a bit noisy during the day and pool aerobics Wham music not exactly relaxing. Our executive king suite was most disappointing on arrival, as was the furthest from the pools and restaurant, faced a construction wall and the ‘balcony’ barely fit 2 chairs. However, the staff were very accommodating in my request for a better view and room. We ended up in a deluxe room overlooking the kid-friendly pool with a big balcony. It was cheaper than the executive and included breakfast! Overall, it was a very pleasant stay that was slightly marred by the inaccuracies of the web-booking ad, (I’m not sure how a hotel can claim to be ‘out of stock’ of alcohol) but quite good value, friendly staff, and a rather ‘old-school’ Bali vibe in its ambience and decor. I’d recommend it to families with small children but perhaps not romance-seekers nor those seeking a glamorous, modern 5-star experience.

Our time at Mercure sanure was very good. The hotel is coming back up to speed after to he covid period. The staff were very friendly and welcoming. The buffet breakfast was good. Both the pools and the gardens are in good condition. I would recommend this hotel.

This establishment is a truly exquisite place to reside. The staff exhibited remarkable accommodation, and our abode, particularly the family room with a sofa bed and direct access to the beach, was nothing short of spectacular. Our stay proved to be an extraordinary experience. Communication presented no challenges, and the personnel demonstrated sincerity and genuine care throughout our interactions. Having previously sojourned at various resorts in Bali, I must assert that this has been the most delightful experience by a significant margin.

Really nice location and gardens. Also is beach front. The rooms are really showing there age and the custard yellow paint scheme doesn’t help. My room had a super king mattress that was very comfortable, wifi is very poor, it’s in a good location and within easy walk to shops and restaurants. I have marked it down as I am an Accor plus member and entitled to a discount on food but they wouldn’t honour it. Food on my 1st night was very limited and basic, so I didn’t go back. Management also didn’t respond to my emails. I am returning in a couple of weeks so hoping for a better experience , as others have said, a lot of maintenance work has started so it will only get better

Excellent staff! Very, very friendly. Breakfast super. Nice room (277) and great beachhouse for the last days. Loved it! BBQ and buffet option for some evening’s with dancers. Always enough space at both pools and the private beach. There is also a towel service. Dian from the reception booked a nice tour to Lembongan Island for us. Whish you all the best!

Quiet undisturbed location if you are coming to Bali for a business trip. There won't be a queue every where you go. The rooms are kind of old and worn but still relatively clean. The hotel does not provide hand towels in the room so I reckon you have to request for it. Staff were friendly and unobtrusive which is good.

Very old hotel, very empty as well probably due to pandemic. They assigned one of a very old room at the beginning, but after request for change they gave a better renovated room near the pool. I can imagine how good was this hotel during its glorious day many years ago. Located in quite part of Sanur with private beach. A lot of potential if it is renovated! Till then, will not consider to stay here again.

The good bits, comfy bed, the egg station, the bad, toaster only takes one slice at a time, no coffee machines just a large metal urn reminiscent of factory canteens from the 1930s/40s/50s, the bacon is horrendous it’s like a dark red strip of plastic which is impossible to cut and tastes horrible, very poor selection of hot breakfast items, the morning I had the fresh fruit it tasted of garlic, the danish pastries are so hard you can build a wall with them, the muffins are as dry as the Sahara dessert, restaurant staff don’t appear to interact with guests apart from the ones working on the egg station, all in all the worst breakfast experience I’ve had in all my years of travelling.

Was really nice resort. Looks old but the room and facilities are well maintained. Best part is the beach access and cafes so you do not have to leave hotel to have great meals, beers and gelato. Food in the pic is from genius cafe.

This Hotel needs an infusion of cash, its location is so great but dated rooms and general upkeep lets it down. Sadly this may be a result of covid. Staff are ever helpful but the general menu is very ordinary especially for vegetarians. I am sure this Accor property will recover.

Pretty disappointing so far. We checked in on the 26th December, whilst we booked a room we were told they were overbooked and sat for ages waiting for someone to help us. They were great in offering an upgrade to a larger room however 2 days in a row we didn’t get housekeeping, only when prompted did they clean the room but still missing a bath mat. There is also no hot water in the room currently 🤷🤷so hopefully this can get sorted. For the price we paid you would expect a higher level of effort and cleanliness. Location is great but that’s about it so far.

We came here many times. We like the hotel, rooms and location very much. And especially the staff. They are great. They give you the feel like at home. Last year after the Covid period there were some complaints. And they always stay open for listening. In Holland we say….. Do you have complaints tell it us. Do you like it, tell it others. But now we come back again and now it’s like before. All the roofs are renewed. The breakfast perfect now. And this year all the rooms will be renewed. Thank you staff for all the nice moments.

The location is amazing, right on the beach, short walk to things at the south end. Restaurant served lovely food, attended two buffet barbecues during our stay and unfortunately majority of the food on the first night was spicy and the second night everything was spicy and all I could eat was white rice and felt a wider cohort of people should have been catered for. Whilst cooking the barbecue the chefs were using the same tray to put raw and cooked chicken on and I thought this would be basic knowledge in all commercial kitchens... that's a big no no with raw chicken. Children and some adults like myself who don't eat spicy food would have had nothing but rice to eat which would make it an expensive meal for around $20. The staff at the resort are all really helpful, friendly and polite. Guest services manager was such a great help when notified that our room smelt musty/mouldy. Got an air purifier in our room immediately and the smell was gone within an hour or two. Couldn't believe the difference it made. Asked if we could continue to use the purifier throughout our stay and they were more than happy to allow that. Staff are tidying the grounds from approx 5.30am and always meticulously maintained. Pool was always clean! The room does need updating, the bathroom was very old and in desperate need of a renovation however I'm aware they're upgrading rooms currently section by section. Hotel was quite full at the time we stayed.

Hotel is in a great location right on Mertasari beach. Unfortunately the hotel has been neglected throughout covid and is in need of a make over. The room was ok for the price and the breakfast buffet was sufficient. The staff were happy and helpful.

This is an older style Bali resort, which makes your stay feel more authentic. The grounds are lush and spacious, the accommodation is Balinese style thatched roof’s, there are two large pools and it’s right on the beach. The only thing I would change is to have the pools close at 9 pm. They close at 6 pm now and the sun is still up so it definitely seems too early. I have stayed at the Mercure resort Sanur several times and the peacefulness of the property keeps drawing me back.

My husband and I absolutely love this resort and have stayed many times. Older Bali style but that is the appeal for us. Rooms big and clean with great aircon. Grounds absolutely amazing, buffet breakfast is excellent and all the staff are lovely. Will always be ‘home’ when we stay in Sanur ❤️

Thank you for granting my request for a room nearer to the beach. I was staying at room 140. The bathtub in room was crack with stains. TV was not working on day one. Bathtub was repaired by repainting. TV was back to normal on day two. Breakfast served can be better as overall impression on the dining area is dirty and old. Choices of food can be better.

This is my second time going to Bali and staying again at the Mercure Sanur, as before the food provided here is still delicious. there were many changes at breakfast this morning, some of the food was cooked directly when ordered and served fresh and hot, for example the fried rice this morning. and their staff also serves quickly and friendly

I enjoyed my time at the Mercure Sanur. Tranquil, peaceful location at the eastern side of Bali mainland. Rooms are a bit dated and require a lot of maintenance including the tv's, pushing that aside, relaxing beautiful spot. Bars and restaurants available via the the beach walk whilst feeling an eastern breeze to assist in cooling off from the heat of the sun and high humidity. Minimal walking distance to local shops and other venues within the township. Staff are extremely helpful, overall service is excellent. I will come back to the Mercure at Sanur.

Mercure is an excellent choice for a beach resort. The buildings & gardens are very attractive, and the staff are the happiest and politest I have ever encountered. The grounds are big enough so that it never feels crowded and there are always enough beds around the pool or on the beach. The breakfast has everything one might wish for, and is constantly refreshed by attentive staff. The room was big; with a huge comfortable bed, and had a big balcony overlooking a pool and gardens. The fixtures and fittings could do with a refresh, but we just showered and slept there. Overall we had a fabulous relaxing 10 days at Sanur, and would recommend Mercure as a good option for families & couples wanting a relaxing beach holiday.

Stayed here for a week for a business trip. Rooms are average but amenities are adequate. Breakfast buffet is not very appetizing, but for the price you paid it’s good. The rockstars here are the staff - very service-driven. I got some insect bites and complained to them, to which they addressed immediately.. even offering a topical ointment to treat my bites. Cleaners are very warm and always greet you.

Great hospitable service by the Reception on check in & check out, Awesome Duty Manager. Good Breakfast buffet Enjoyed the Saturday evening Balinese dance performance. Can improve on the Saturday dinner buffet (taste & selection). Love both of the swimming pools. Can improve on the Pool service for towels & bed by the pool. Nice view by the beach.

10 years back and forth to Bali, this hotel is our most frequent choice. Private beach, beach bar, massage, gym and bike rental was very complete facilities for us. good service and friendly staff. location close to lots of good food and deserts. after the c19 pandemic subsided this hotel made many improvements which made me feel more at home here

We had a short stay here, the staff was very friendly and helpful. Our original flight to Bali got delayed by a few days and the hotel adjusted our booking without any problems, much appreciated! The resort itself is very quiet and super close to the beach and in short walking-distance to many restaurants and stores.

When I describe my stay at Mercury as a fantastic experience, I am not exaggerating. I t was my home away from home for three weeks. Three weeks is enough time to see how the whole place treats it's guests. Stuff was never too busy to greet me with a smile and a kind wish for the day. It felt like I lived in a Balinese village with all upgrades of modern life and right on the beach with a beautiful taste of native culture in the evening entertainment that hotel provided. All the territory is clean and well maintained. Like everywhere in Bali there is a temple. And I love the ambience of the temple and sitting in front of it was so sweet. One morning , four people were cleaning the temple grounds and a girl was singing Gayatri mantra in such a sweet voice. I would love to come back to the hotel and experience amazing care of Rina from the front desk team who was the main reason I decided to stay there. She was knowledgeable and organized my stay really well, from the tour of the place to booking to laundry to maintenance to saying good bye when I was leaving. I am already missing Yanti, my massage therapist. Almost daily I went to her and she patiently took the stress out of my body with her kind hands and warm smile. Teri was always helping with food and I loved the variety for breakfast that they provided. I am a vegetarian and on a couple of occasions chefs made me a special dish per my vegan food preferences. I am planning to come back to Bali and this resort. I hope your stay will them will be as pleasant as it was for me.

I would like to thank the entire team for your efforts in making a truly memorable stay for our 30th wedding anniversary. Every consideration was given to us. I highly recommend Mercure resort Sanur. Close to beach. Food was great. Massage at Sanjivani Spa was awesome. All staff friendly. All managers helpful and professional.

The tomato cream sauce was yummy and staff really friendly and warm. If you come to this hotel, u feel in nature. Suitable for family and couples due to near of attraction activity and in front of Mertasari Sanur. So far O reccomend this hotel

While the hotel feels old, it is well maintained and staffs are super friendly. Rooms are nice although you will need to drag your luggages through the cobbled pathway. They also have bicycle rental with nice rate, too bad I didn't try it as I noticed it a bitate. Would like to return to the hotel again one day.

Staff very friendly had a mix up with bedding but sorted out quickly and no problem. Breakfast not the best but not too bad value for money especially after such a long wait to fully reopen staff have done a great job. Restaurant meal was not up to standard for its price. They booked our travel to Lembongan without a problem even though it’s not something they offer. All round a good hotel

A beautiful resort hotel, well located on the beach. Friendly staff, comfortable rooms and good facilities on site.

It's quiet in Bali at the moment and although this place is huge, it needs to be kept clean and sadly it wasn't while we stayed here.. the pools areas had lots of delapidation.. old moss and algae around the areas you walk on.. the food was of a basic standard and although the staff were very nice, the place being a little tired and sad didn't help the overall impression.

Beware !! There is dangerous dogs outside this place , there are some friendly ones that just bark at a abandoned restaurant, but straight across from hotel there is a residential property with 2 very vicious dogs that try and bite you if u walk past . The hotel drivers try to help but dogs are very quick. Please be very careful with children and elderly. Especially at night time

Had a very good if short stay here. It's a very good location and the service was friendly. Facilities are a bit dated but the room was comfortable and right on the beach. Will return here.

Mercure Sanur is located on the peaceful part of Bali. Staff is very accommodating. Room is nice and comfortable. This is a place to unwind and relax and NOT to party. Restaurant service is not that much specially in the bar area. Pool is small and closed at 5:00pm. Location is Perfect. Everybody sleeps at 10pm.
