Update: We had to change Bungalows half-way due to some last minute booking changes. So we also got to know the beach front bungalow. Don’t bother! It is supposed to be better but I can’t understand this. It is much smaller than the one we had before (right next door but second row from beach), much more noisy, less practical (shower / bath directly in/at bed room), you bump your head at the low doors or staircase (right above the fridge), A/C more noisy. What was disappointing is the maintenance state: doors (front, rear to garden shower) cannot be handled without waking everyone and the neighbors up - so no way to sneak out for the gym, we had ants in the bath and upstairs where they woke a guest in the night, batteries of A/C and emergency light were almost dead. Windows in the upper floor facing the beach and bar don’t close anymore. They have gaps you can put more than one finger through. You may guess what that does to noise from outside or A/C efficiency. Considering that Tandjung made good money before Covid, they had ample time to fix this before reopening. Umbrellas at the beach could be larger, hard to fit two beds. The restaurant is quite slow. We saw guests leaving because they weren’t serviced fast enough. Ourselves we skipped dessert because we didn’t want to wait another half hour … same is True for breakfast. It takes 15mins++ to get a scrambled egg or another of the 10 standard dishes on the menu. But quality is good once it arrives … All in all very nice setting with very friendly staff. But they have to watch out to keep fulfilling their own mission. Remember what made them great once - and what they are proud of. ——————— Original Post ——— Excellent hotel and restaurant right at the beach. Very kind staff, very good food. Dinner menu with many choices - dinner for three with starter and drinks 200k. Rooms (bungalows) close to the beach are roomy, clean, with quiet A/C. But be aware that walls are thin. We had no trouble with noises from the hotel but sometimes from dogs barking or birds singing - could be worse … 😉 When walking along the beach (north) we saw that they started building a large cinema complex just 200-300m away and directly at the beach. The construction seems to have stopped - probably due to Covid, and I hope they will give up … may spoil some of the quietness on the beach.

The beach is clean and good atmosphere! But the Tenderloin steak is the best what I eat in 3 years stay in Sanur. It's melting in your mouth! Prices a little bit high and not much choice at the menu cart.

Had a wedding at Tandjung Sari Hotel and it was fantastic! All the staff are so nice, helpful, and very accommodating. This was also our first time in Bali and we had such a great experience with Tandjung Sari. The food was delicious, bungalows are clean, hotel is filled with Indonesian culture, and the pool and beach are great too! Gym is well kept even though there is a limited amount of equipment; we were able to get our workouts done. Different activities/events featured on different days; There are sarongs, linen shirts and straw/bamboo hats for guests to borrow. Definitely recommend Tandjung Sari Hotel and we are looking forward to our next stay!

We had the pleasure to stay in this great hotel for almost a week. The staff is super friendly and provides very good service. The breakfast was amazing. We appreciated the great location with its the private beach area, so we had the chance to enjoy the Main Street for dosas and shopping or just relaxed at the beach/ pool area. The special beauty of the hotel is, to my mind, that their are a lot of huge trees which provide decent shadow and the well maintained apartments. We traveled with two kids and can fully recommend the Tandjung Sari Hotel. Thanks for the great service. And don’t miss the local dancing student lesson on Friday afternoons.

Fabulous setting, lovely atmosphere for breakfast, everything is beautifully presented and delicious. The gardens have some of the most beautiful statues anywhere in Bali. The hotel places a premium on beauty combined with eco friendliness, and does a wonderful job of it 😍

Always have dinner here when in Sanur. Beautiful setting and food is consistently good. A bit pricey and wine is expensive too. But still worth a visit for the experience.

My favorite place to begin every Bali visit. Beautiful and serene, the perfect place to decompress. The staff members are all so kind. Food is fabulous. Great gift shop and good gym, too. The Family villas are large and conveniently located.

Indulgent luxury with privacy. Large villa, immaculately presented and equipped. Seamless service without being intrusive, excellent catering and interesting cultural options to see. Not cheap but great value. Changing views of Mt Agung from dining terrace adds to feel of the place

It's been almost a year since we were here. I find myself suggesting to friends they NEED to stay here. We are looking to come back to Sanur and this is the benchmark for our decision. Not just Sanur, but anywhere in the world for a relaxing stay... So I am guessing see you soon.

This is about afternoon Tea time & chill on beach front of Sanur , 1 word always Perfect , my friends order tea serve in big pot for 2 pax , then I order whole young coconut drink , just right flesh & fresh water drink with bamboo straw , we had dadar gulung :rolled green crepes filled with sweet (palm sugar ) shredded coconut & ripe jackfruit inside &garnished with fried jackfruit ; fried banana rolled on grated coconut eat with palm sugar sauce & coconut ice cream & martabak telur : savory pan fried pancake filled with ground beef garnished with baby cucumber pickles & sour sweet sauce , all delicious. Weather cloudy yet beautiful beach calm & great , recommend to enjoy tea time , hope their other food are great too , definitely always comeback

Our second stay at this hotel. It is one of the best places to stay in Sanur. Everything is perfect, from the fantastic villas to the lovely restaurant for breakfast. The gardens are immaculate so peaceful. The beach area is raked every day is an amazing place to relax during the day. We will definitely be back. Thank you for a great stay.

We got married at Tandjung Sari. The staff and hotel management were extremely friendly and helpful; the ceremony was beautiful and it felt like being in a fairy tale. The hotel is very special in its kind: the bungalows are very authentic, with lots of handcrafted decorations and antique. The food is very tasty and the ambiance is super romantic. The resort is very clean and well maintained; this includes he beautiful gardens. We will definitely come back to Tandjung Sari some day.

Spent 10 nights here and booked to return. In our opinion it is authentic, well run. The staff are so helpful and nice. The food was beautiful and we mainly ate and drank here as we loved the views and ambience so much. Never change, we love you!

Unfortunately we didn’t stay here but we dined in the restaurant on the beach. The food was simply amazing, I would highly recommend the traditional dinner for two. You get to sample so many truly stunning flavors. The staff are so very friendly and the atmosphere is beautiful. Will definitely return.

Tandjung Sari Hotel is a slice of heaven. The staff and location are beautiful. Was very surprised though that there is no TV or music in the resort. So quiet. Sometimes you just have to switch off.

Definitely a favorite and classic hotel and restaurant by the beach in Sanur, must visit. They provide tradisional Indonesian dishes menu, very romantic dinner setting!

We went for lunch. The surrounding is quite an ambience there with lots of trees and cool shades. Good place to relax and enjoy the beautiful sight of Sanur beach. The food was great and you have all the choices, continental to local. They say if you consume any food worth 250 m IDR, you can use swimming and the beach front. It’s a reasonable deal. The staff are friendly and their service very efficient. They are attentive and take empty plates as soon as we are done. The cool breeze come by as you dine under the coconut tree.

The best hotel I have ever stayed in. A simple, boutique experience compared to other 5 star hotels in Bali but laid-back, relaxed and beautiful. Staff were amazing. Food was great (especially for a hotel). Get the nasi kuning for breakfast and you can’t go wrong. Amazing attention to detail. A true expression of what the Balinese do best.

We recently had the very fortunate experience of staying at Tandjung Sari for 3 nights. We booked the garden sea view bungalow which was out of this world. When we checked in after a laborious 24 hours of travel and on stepping through the incredible stone and coral gateway into our bungalow, all out stress melted away. Great staff, great location on the best part of the beach in Sanur and incredible history. We will most definitely be back

My 5 stars is for the beach-side dining area as we did not go into the hotel. Very pleasant and relaxing. Place is clean, staff friendly and accommodating. They even helped us move the heavy table to a shadier spot so we could enjoy our breakfast and get a good view of the beach.

We went here for our first vacation after 2 1/2 yrs of the corona pandemic - what can i say? It was a pure bliss. We had ~8 days stay as a couple and the beautiful tree shaded restaurant, the refreshing clean pool, the delicious food, the exclusive(!) beach, the gorgeous bungalow with its own garden and to top it all - the wonderful and welcoming people working all around the clock to make everything a delight, always with a smile and so so friendly and helpful. I really missed indonesia, i really missed coming home, and tandjung sari made me felt like coming home again, after long and exhausting months. We were able to recharge and headed to the next destination, totally relaxed and thankful to be at this gem within Sanur. It is a little pricey, BUT totally worth it. Great food! Amazing staff! With piano! (Please ask permission first). We enjoyed our time there and stayed longer than we expected. The toilet/restroom is very clean as well. The whole place is hygienic and friendly. Hand sanitizers are available everywhere. We appreciate that. WiFi connectivity could be improved, but we’re not there for that. Overall great!!!
