The overall experience is really great. Starting from the initial conversation with Karl about registering for Open Water Diving Course, the logistics during the 3 days course - pick up and drop off to my hotel, lunch, and the minibus was comfortable as well for the long drive to Tulamben. The instructor, Nyoman is also very knowledgeable, professional and patient in teaching me all the techniques and making sure I'm safe throughout all the dives.

Nyoman was an incredible dive instructor. I would highly recommend him for any level of certification. My dives at Nusa Penida (Manta Point, Crystal Bay, and SD) were outstanding. New Review September 2023: Back again Third dive trip to Bali with Dune, and it just gets better each time. Great communication by the booking team with updates along the way, clear and concise information. Driver was prompt and polite with a smile to and from the hotel. Shop facility has everything you’d need, and great Balinese coffee was offered as soon as I arrived which is an absolute bonus. Upon arrival, my instructor/guide came to great me and introduced himself and checked the gear I brought with me and organised the shop gear that I needed to borrow. Antoine was very friendly and attentive, he asked if I needed to use the shop wetsuit as I had brought my 3mm shortie which may be insufficient for the cooler water temps as we were scheduled to hunt for MolaMolas. Completing the requested documents and questionnaires took only a few mins and then we were transported to the pier which took 5 mins. The dive boat was clean and comfortable and crew were great. A special mention to Antoine who did a fantastic job of keeping things simple but clear , safety briefing and dive plan conducted professionally. As we were one on one, Antoine took time to discuss what I wanted to see and expectations from the 3 dives and really made it his job to ensure my dives were relaxed and enjoyable. Got to the see the MolaMola finally which was on the top of my list and the other two dives were just icing on the cake for me. All the other divers seemed to have as much fun as I did with their guides too. Overall, highly recommended for beginners and experienced alike, and the staff are a real credit to the company. 5 stars all the way Amazing communication, friendly and efficient. We booked our dives very last minute and they were able to accommodate us into their schedule with minimal fuss. Drivers were prompt and friendly even though we stayed a fair distance away from the shop they picked us up from our door at the exact time. Staff at the shop were very friendly and were on hand to help with any questions we had regarding our dive trips and logistics. We revisited many of the dive sites from our previous trip but our dive guide did an amazing job to show us many new things that we hadn't seen at the same sites before. Kadek our dive guide made our dives that more special. Highly recommended for our fellow divers and hope to use these guys again in the not too distant future!

Completed my open water course, fun dives and advanced with Robby, Benny and Eka who are extremely knowledgeable, helpful and fun to dive with. Got my open water dive cert here (1 pool session, 4 dives). Superb experience! Shoutout to our instructor Robby Irawan, who took care of us and teaches us the skills professionally. Brought us to see USAT Liberty and Buddha Statues, and showed us the different marine species. All the equipments are new and top notch, timing were flexible. Lunch and hotel are part of the package. Lastly, pictures and videos are free! Definitely will be back the next time for more dives.

We had such a wonderful dive safari to tulamben/amed experience with Eka from dune bali. Karl organized the trip for us and it was easy to understand our intenerary from the start of the process. Eka was wonderful with discussing the route prior to each dive and showing us different species underwater. We saw the most beautiful coral we’ve ever seen in addition to cuttlefish, octopus, nudibranches and other cool species! Truly a great experience and would definitely recommend this dive group to others visiting. They were very organized and professional!

We did manta point, then two dives on the opposite side of the island due to the condition of the sea. As we all know, dive safaris are trips into the wild and mother nature ultimately determines what you can do or see. This was carefully evaluated by the crew members and cruise manager, and we covered 21 dives in both the north and the south of Komodo National park. During the first and last day, land trips around the parks were carefully planned to suit the no dive flight time which allowed guests to never feel bored. 2) Hospitality and Food - It is amazing what can be whipped up on board with carefully planned meals by the chef and his team. We were very well fed with freshly made whole foods throughout the trip and not one dish was repeated over the last 8 days. Full service was also provided regarding dive gear assembly, DRYING, and movement of suitcases from the airport to the cabin. Cabins and boat were kept in immaculate condition with the crew working round the clock to clean and dry every crevice. 3) The extra little touches - I spent my 30th birthday on the boat and was not expecting anything. The crew did a whole Indonesian feast and a whole birthday cake made from scratch! There were drums, guitar and metal spoons involved in this little performance. Best birthday ever! 10/10 recommend Dune Aurora to anyone who is looking for a full and complete diving experience without missing the destinations that require gravity and feet as well. Pink beach too touristy? They dropped us off at a secret beach that was also pink and we got the best drone shots. Padar island trek for your IG posts and stalking mating komodos? Or a thousand bats covering the night sky during a sunset? Dreamy... I traveled solo and Komodo is one of the most romantic and magical holidays one can ever ask for. This is my second time back and this live aboard experience preceded my expectations. This was my best dive experience ever, and in significant part thanks to Nyoman, my dive instructor! My positive experience started right from the moment I first contacted Dune Bali to schedule my dive - Karl was extremely helpful, provided great and meaningful recommendations on where I could dive and was quick to respond to my questions. It already put my mind at ease. I also found the Dune Bali website highly informative - the description of the many dive sites with its advantages and challenges is a dream for anyone planning a dive. I was picked up from my resort (Melia Bali) on time on the day of my dive and to my pleasant surprise was greeted by Nyoman the moment I got off the car at Dune Bali. While sipping a delicious cup of Balinese coffee, Nyoman provided me with a helpful briefing for the day and I was introduced to rest of the crew who would accompany us for other dives (Emily, an instructor with another more experienced group was also very kind and helpful) - altogether, it was a great team! The best experience however, was reserved for when we got into the water - Nyoman did an excellent job showing me around the dive site (Blue Lagoon and Jepun off Padang Bay), pointing out interesting marine life and being around me throughout. While I am sure rest of the crew is equally excellent, I could not have asked for a better dive instructor. Back on the shore, all the divers were treated to a local lunch (included in the package), before we started back for the Dive shop and onward to our respective hotels / resorts. The only regret I walked away with after this incredible experience, was that I do not live close enough to Bali, to be able to visit Dune Bali more regularly and explore other dive sits with Nyoman and rest of the amazing crew. I cannot recommend them enough. Truly incredible - Bravo to Karl and his team!

Professional instructor and team with high safety standards with equipment and gear. My 3 days course went smoothly with instructor Eka. She is the best of the best, with her numerous experiences and trainings, I felt very safe with her. Despite the panicked times I've had, she was very calm and patient with me.

I went to Penida; Manta point, Crystal Bay and SD point. I had one of the best dives with them. Got to learn some french a word or two which is a bonus haha, would love to dive with them again!
