My partner reserved a table at Genius for my birthday due to how pretty it looked and the good reviews it has. We were sat outside on the beach and the service started well, we ordered a starter (3 dips with nachos) which was really nice with a mojito and an apple and mango cider. We decided to move tables as where we were sat wasn’t really ideal for eating a proper meal as it was more of a lounge seating arrangement. We opted to sit at a table which staff showed us to and accommodated. This is where the evening just went downhill, and we felt forgotten about, we had menus given to us and we sat with the menus for about 30 minutes before I flagged down a member of staff asking to order mains. We both ordered the Thai Red Curry, which was full of flavour and full of spice (a bit too much for me, however this is a traditional dish so I have no complaints here). During our meal, no member of staff even bothered to ask us whether our food was okay, or if we wanted any further drinks, there was a particular member of staff who was initially serving us over by the beach who seemed more interested in an American couple than any other customers, ourselves included. When we had our mains eventually cleared away when I had to flag down another member of staff to get the bill, we felt we couldn’t order a dessert due to how poor the service had been. Once we were paying for our food, the waitress didn’t even ask if we had a nice experience, or if we had a nice meal, just zero interest in how we had been treated, if we were asked, I would’ve been honest with her. Overall, the food here is really good and I have zero complaints with it, the service was absolutely appalling, the worst levels of service we had experienced since being in Bali. Maybe we were just unlucky with the staff on shift here, or if it’s a one off, however, we personally won’t be recommended Genius as a place to dine.

This is a great cafe/restaurant right on the beach. The food is delicious and fresh and very healthy. You can eat under shade or outdoors. So so beautiful!!

Awesome place for coffee and snacks. We went there for turtle release yesterday (happens every last Sunday on the month, morning 10am onwards) and the staff was super friendly and it was good to see the team teams coming together for this great cause. The restaurant is perfectly located and has some great food options although we couldn't try much as we had our flight to catch! But they were kind enough to provide wedges as takeaway and it tasted awesome. Huge quantity too. Ice tea was fine.

This is a Bali must! Especially if you are on the island to work. Every morning the sun rises here and you can easily spend all day eating, drinking and working in paradise literally on the beach and the sea in touching distance. Life doesn't get much better than that! Good clean food here and a calm atmosphere. The WiFi is pretty good too so you're able to bring a laptop and work. The events they put on are good too. Music and meeting fellow travelers. Highly recommended

Fiancé and I were beach hopping — ended up stumbling upon Genius Cafe and shared a few drinks while admiring the view and absorbing the vibe and atmosphere this place has to offer. It’s a great little spot, and has an incredible vibe to it that allows you to hang out chill while doing work or just conversing. Staff were super friendly and the service was also top notch. Definitely 5 stars!

Great place for hanging out with friends and family. Chilling on bean bag, sipping ice tea, and eating pizza were perfect at this place. Also you can do canoeing! The beach is not deep and the wave is pretty calm. With crystal clear water, you can see the sand and coral under the sea. Perfect time to come is when the sky is bright around 3-6pm

The place has two areas, across small street to each other. It offers co-working package. They have promo 60k for any food. We ordered burger and pancake. Strangely the pancake took more time than the burger, but, the wait was worth it. They have some other promotions too. They have free turtle activity every Sunday and some other activities on different days. I like the place, it’s good for chilling by the beach.

Good spot directly at the beach, nicely furnished, sometimes longer waiting times until someone and the food comes. Pictures in the menu look (great but) better than the actual food (though still nice). Taco consistency was a little too dry.

What a great place on the beach! We spent all day there with a group of friends. The kids played in the water, while chatted and ordered delicious food. The staff was so friendly and kind and the food was amazing!!! If in Sanur make sure to stop here you won’t want to leave 😄

Struggled to find vegan food along the beachfront so we were delighted to find this cafe literally by our hotel (should have turned left instead of right!😂). A wide variety of vegan choices along with other dishes to suit every taste. Staff were lovely and the sea views were fabulous. Excellent value for money too. Definitely recommend.

Went here for lunch, because of the vegan options they serve. Price point was really really reasonable, most meals 60k only! Food was fresh, delicious, and big portion. Had a salad, and I thought I could add on after but was too full. Ordered their Bali Bliss smoothie, that was really good and refreshing! I would definitely come again to try out the rest of the menu.

Perfect location right on the beachfront with a variety of seating options to sit and relax all day. All the staff we came across were so lovely, it was just quite tricky to get hold of them. We came for breakfast planning to spend the day on the beach. The smoothie bowl had a weird smoked flavour to it (sort of like smoked corn?) and the pancakes were black which wasn't mentioned on the menu so a bit of a surprise. For lunch the falafel wrap was ok but took over an hour to arrive after asking twice where it was which wasn't ideal. The lemonade didn't really taste of anything so we didn't try the cocktails. The menu is really interesting and health focused but maybe not fully trained in the execution. The location and vibe is absolutely spot on though so would recommend for a chill day of sipping drinks.

I went to Genius almost every day during a month long yoga teacher training at Power of Now Oasis. Everyone that worked there was so welcoming and would greet me by name always. I loved seeing everyone there. I did a turtle release with them. I miss their fresh food and drinks since leaving. I would make it one of my first stops when I come back one day.

First time coming here because I wanted to give friends from Jakarta the best dining experience: by the beach in Sanur. Super happy with the service, love the food, and awesome vibe too! We sat literally by the beach. We ordered Vegan Nachos for starter (yummy hummus!), Pesto Baramundi, Burger, Spaghetti, and I couldn't remembered what my other friends ordered. Everything is super good with reasonable price. Parking is a hassle, though. So better ask for driver to drop you off or take taxi/grab/gojek.

Had lunch here, ordered fish burger and three dips. Food was 4/5 on taste but the presentation was 5/5. A band of two was singing while we were dining. Pretty good for a beach lunch.

Nice place, good vibe in the morning and also during evenings. We use this spot for breakfast - pancakes with our kids. Served well, they look better than they taste, but we like the view and atmosphere. Bit overpriced but looking at the spot and area.. i think ... no,.. still overpriced 😆😆😆 but okie...

Great little cafe by the beach. My wife has celiac and this was definitely one of our favorite places to go! The smoothie bowls were delicious and the peanut butter "thing" in it was amazing haha. Their breakfast plates were also quite delicious. No complaints and definitely cognizant of gluten restrictions! Would definitely recommend for any gluten free travelers!

I just love coming to a place where the food is natural and the ambience good. The sweetest people working there and you are right at the beach! Thank you Jenny and Agus for making my visit memorable!

Really and amazing place with very tasty and healthy food. Strongly recommend to sit on the tables in the sand and to chill there long time. Cocktails are also great and the wine. The bows are top! The only thing I don’t like is that is closes by 22:00.

Tasty and healthy food, good coffee, great service - very friendly and kind staff. :) My partner and I visited this cafe a couple of times to have breakfast and dinner. It’s a great place to work as well. If you want to relax at the beach enjoying good food and vibe, this is perfect place to be!

A wonderful place. Great view to the open sea, wind and waves around you ;) and healthy creative food. The selection of fresh juices and smoothies is also very good. Kind of very relaxed Atmosphere to chill or even to work.

Super delicious food from high quality ingredients at a nice location. It's expensive compared to other restaurants in this area. They also have lots of vegan, gluten-free/dairy-free options and everything is properly declared in the menu. Free wifi and great atmosphere for some computer work. Service is great and well-organised and brings your food quickly. Particularly noteworthy were the drinks, especially great choice of alcohol-free beverages in addition to many fancy-named cocktails.

Genius is the best coffe in sanur. I always come here because the staff all so warm and friendly... Especially thank to jenny, dharma, ayu.. They always make me happy with the service..They feel like a family..

a quiet place when working and vacationing with family. the pizza is delicious, you can bring pets, the environment is child-friendly. friendly staff and clean and well maintained beach.

Located beach front of the Mercure in Sanur, with beautiful seaside views, Cafe Genius is a ‘must go’. The staff are warm and welcoming; extra mention to Jenny, who made me feel right at home. The menu is varied and the prices are great.

Had an awesome time at Genius Café Sanur in Bali! The mango shake and the Bali Bliss are must-tries, they were just incredible. What stood out the most was the environment – the view is simply stunning, the music sets a great vibe, and the staff? Super friendly and welcoming. Whether you're chilling with friends or just need some "me" time, this place is perfect. Don't miss out on this spot if you're in Bali!

A laid-back place to enjoy the beach and the breeze under the shade. I had a pleasant time. Food was okay. I personally would say the drink could get better. Just a minor thing ;)

Mexican bowl and fajitas for lunch, super fresh and big serves. Great value. It was delicious, highly recommend a stop at this beautiful beachfront eatery.
