It is a very beautiful and aesthetic places to visit. But the cost of the ticket is a little steep. Also when we get inside the campus, there is a ticket. There is also a show and a museum for which we will have to pay extra bucks if we want to watch it. They should give this inclusive at the entrance or atleast inform about the same. Apart from that there is very beautiful and scenic. It is very well maintained and clean.

Tourist trap and a massive waste of time. I remember visiting the more authentic parts of the park before all the development but they have tried to turn it into a theme park, with the queues, and the shiny front, but minus the fun. Not to say that I expected the fun, I would have appreciated the cultural aspects of the park if the management didn't charge so much for the experience. Why was this a tourist trap? At the first entrance, we were told that our entry tickets included a buggy ride from quite an unfriendly driver (can't fault him, it was a thankless job of driving visitors up and down a hill the entire day) to the foot of the massive statue. The statue was impressive, but when we went into the building, and walked all the way to the end of a hallway, we were the told that there was another additional charge for visiting the interior of the Garuda Wisnu building. If not, that was it. We could either walk down or take the buggy back down to the midpoint where we could walk around to visit the other monuments. This is about the most authentic part of the experience and well worth the visit, but not the entire facade. The tickets also included entry to some cultural shows, and a museum. All of these felt artificial somehow. Is it a problem with the ticket value? I don't think so, I think it is just a problem with not setting expectations from the start, thus making visitors feel cheated.

Entrance ticket is 125k per person To reach the Wisnu Kencana Building on foot it takes around 25 minutes, if you use a buggy car it takes less than 5 minutes and you have to pay 30k per person. It's still dry, lacking shelter along the way. To enter the Garuda Wisnu Kencana Building, a fee of 150k is charged, so for 45 minutes we are guided to see the condition of the building, museum and so on. In the main square at certain times there is a typical Balinese dance which tells the story of Garuda and Vishnu To enter the museum you have to charge again. So far so good.

Insane, so exciting! Immense cultural park full of points of interest. Magnificent manifestation of religious worship. Absolutely must-visit. Recommended the tour up to the statue with the lift. Buggy rides also recommended. A mixture of the commercial and the sacred, but one must not resist... it is a great experience.

I have to mention, that most of this place was closed due to the G20 summit, so my review is only based on the things that were open at the time. It's a really pretty park, with some nice surroundings. The monument or statue itself is great and all, and they have some nice explanations in the ground floor, regarding the statue and how it was built. We couldn't go up the statue, and we couldn't see a lot of the other statues, due to the summit. Overall it was fine, but I think the price was too high in our case.

It's a nice sized cultural park, with a lot of wide open spaces. You will initially go to the designated parking area and there will be a shuttle bus to bring you to the ticketing area (of note, if you come with a driver/guide, they can come in for free, but you still have to pay for the shuttle cost). The GWK statue is huge! It's a good photo op. Another great thing to check out is the amphitheater, which has multiple dances and musical performances every hour, highly recommended. There are multiple restaurants and food court on site, the food are just so-so, but that's to be expected in a tourist spot like this. The restroom is fairly clean, which is nice. There are multiple souvenir shops of you're interested in shopping.

(Translated by Google) The place is very clean, spacious, comfortable and neat. Near the vehicle parking lot there is a kind of bus stop which later there will be buses in charge of delivering visitors to the tourist area. These buses can be ridden for free without being charged. Now to enter the tourist area we have to pay at the available counters, oh yes the counter for purchasing tickets on the spot and the counter to pick up tickets that have been purchased online is different, so just pay attention to the instructions listed at each ticket window. At that time I went there on weekends and there were a lot of visitors, but even though there were many visitors the place didn't look crowded or full because the place was very wide (Original) Tempatnya sangat bersih, luas, nyaman dan tertata rapi.

I have to say just how amazing this place is, like wow!!!! Obviously when visiting you will have to pay for parking as well as ticket entry into this amazing place. But there's so much to do, and take photos of or even take time to pay some respects. Went with my family, and we had a guide who helped us out a lot. Showing us the good places to take photos, and unfortunately there was a section closed off for an event. Nevertheless, it was an amazing place to visit!

I don't know if it's a part of Balinese culture but charging additional money for everything seems not right to me. And why nobody says that going up the statue costs even more that the ticket itself?! If you're a low-budget backpacker, this park will seem like a cash-grab. For all the fancy tour groups it's nothing, of course.

This is an amazing must-visited place! This cultural park consists a lot of complexes inside. You can see a lot of cultural performances here. The statue is breathtaking, especially when you go upstairs by lift and see around. Oh my gosh, that's wonderful!

Although the main statue may impress from a far, do not be fooled. Upon arriving at the grand entrance, you park your vehicle far away from the entrance. Here you take a shuttle bus to the main entrance. When you get to the entrance you pay your 100,000 IDR entrance fee and you're sent on your way. The park is massive, with not a lot of substance. You can see that the idea is to be a grand, theme park like attraction, but it's so far from it. You have to walk at least 45 minutes in total exposure to the sun (if you don't pay the 30,000 IDR extra for the shuttle (one way, which only takes you half the way to the main attraction?). The grand state is also more impressive from afar, with the base looking rather Bauhaus-Moderne esque. The staff were friendly and helpful, but this park as a whole is so far from being anywhere near completion, it isn't worth it. It's just a large scale Disney want-to-be, without any of the fun.

This place has some huge statues that are cool to see, but the park is not complete yet. I recommend to take the buggy to the top of the hill where the big statue is, there isn't much to see on the way if you walk and it's pretty hot to hike up. There are multiple places to eat here at the end of the walk, and a few small drink carts spread out throughout the park. The Artseum was really cool to dress up in traditional Indonesian clothing and take pictures in different settings.

Free shuttle around the place, tickets required for entry. The standard ticket was 125k per pax, includes welcome drinks/museum ticket. Dance performance is free as well. A few shops for souvenirs, bring your own shopping bag or u will need to buy from them. There is a Starbucks there too. Take less than 2 hours to see the place. Clean restrooms

Pretty cool & vast area with varied options to explore. Physically fit one can choose to walk around, while others can pay extra to ride a coaster. The statues, murals, & even the rock formations are beautifully crafted. You can probably spend an hour or two just capturing photos. The traditional dance you can watch is also worth it. Tourist level restaurants & souvenir shops are also available in the area before entering the actual park.

Not worth it. Tourist trap. Maybe only if you are really into performances and can spend the whole day watching traditional dancing and other activities, then maybe the price is okay. But 125k (adult) is kind of pricey. The big statue is not included, the ticket is 150k (right now there is a promotion 100k). And with that price for the tickets, they still charge extra for parking. 5k for motorcycle. Also the big statue opens at 10am, so I'm not sure why the rest of the park is open at 8am. There is not much to do here to spend 2 hours. Well, okay, to get to the statue from the parking lot will take about 1 hour (shuttle bus+walking), but it is still 1 hour too early. I was waiting for the statue to open, but when it opened and I was about to buy the second ticket, they said it is not allowed to take smartphone or camera with you, you have to leave them in the locker. I'm disappointed, for me that experience didn't worth the money I paid and time I spent

Not a bad experience, but we should have done more research before we went. It is a very clean park. They have dance performances every hour. There were places to eat outside and inside the park. However, the park was built to be a TOURIST ATTRACTION. There are some parts that are not even done yet. Come early to beat the crowds and the heat. The park is pretty big and you can easily spend a half day there, so come prepared. It wasn't crazy expensive, but they do charge for parking, entrance to the park, entrance to the top of the main statue, and shuttle to the main statue (you could easily walk to it if you want to).

(Translated by Google) A cultural tourism park covering an area of โ€‹โ€‹6 hectares, inside there is a venue for medium to large scale events, there is a restaurant, a souvenir center, and the most iconic one is the Garuda Wisnu statue, the date is certain. This seems like a project that has been going on for a very long time, from the time I was in elementary school to read in Bobo magazine until almost 8 years after I came here, it was still in the process of refinement. In the past, when the statues arrived, the statues were still being constructed from assemblies of copper plates that were arranged one by one, but it looks so majestic, it even surpasses the statue of Liberty. After opening it to the public, the statue can be entered by visitors, it can also go up to the top, similar to the concept of liberty. At the bottom of the statue, there is a foundation that becomes the foundation for the statue and will also function as a multifunctional supporting building such as a restaurant, shop, or information center.

For generally healthy people, only the entry ticket is recommended. You don't really need the buggy car carrying you up to the top unless it's raining, as it's not really a long walk, around 20 mins to the big statue. While walking, you can also enjoy the beautiful scenery and take photos.

The place was a lot more than I expected. It was a long walk to the top, so do recommend taking the buggies if you are not fit. Beautiful cut-out limestone rock and well laid out garden. The statue is impressive in size and appearance. The waterfalls and ponds give a relaxed atmosphere. The restaurant was a refreshing stop for a drink after the walk to the top. The view was magnificent from the restaurant. The museum was very interesting and was able to take some fun shots.

Its still a work in progress but worth the visit. Also get the tour information before walking up there so you know when the tour times are. But they normally run every 30 mins. Up till 6pm.. cant do any tours after that time but the park is still opened. Also go watch the theatre show worth the time to sit and watch.

A huge cultural park here in Bali, not too far from Denpasar. A definitely must visit for everyone to witness the greatest engineering marvel in Bali. The Wisnu mounting Garuda statue is quite a spectacle to see, it's so big that you can see it from the airplane. I would recommend taking the tour to the level 23 of the statue to learn more about the statue. The tour guide was extremely helpful (Rp 50k per person). The entrance fee is Rp 100k per person. Not the cheapest attraction, but definitely worth it.

Very beautiful and peaceful with some good panoramic views of Bali. Ticket prices are high but dance and music performances are included in the ticket. The statues are magnificent and the efforts are truly commendable. Access can be a bit difficult and shuttle is not included in the ticket. The directions inside need some work hence ended up walking in circles trying to exit !!!

This is the first time I went to GWK, I was thinking the place is only that big statue that we can see, but I found amazing place and good made.. The place was amazing with incredible Bali dances at their theatre, but the museum was small and only 2 kinds of traditional places, Java and Balinese you can see there. Overall that was amazing and great to be there.. But when I was there, they're under construction so they said I couldn't go up to see Bali from the statue.. They said they will be finished on Dec.

Statue BIG. Very nice. Come visit. Go to the top! Super helpful and knowledgeable guides for 300k to bring you inside and up the statue. Not amazing views from within, but you really get to learn a lot about the statue, how it was conceived and constructed.

Amazing!!! My favourite place in Bali so far. Ticket includes other amazing sites to see and even a dance performance and show. Tourist adult ticket was 125,000rph. I think it's 100,000 for seniors and children, free for children under 1meter tall. It's 40,000 per person for a transport to the main Garuda and another 40,000 back. Otherwise it's about a 15-20minute walk, some of the walk is up hill. Toilets everywhere which is great and many places to buy food and drinks as well as souvenirs. It's worth the trip from anywhere in Bali :)

Must visit place in Bali. GWK is a beautiful place. Balinese dance performance is there every one hour in the Amphitheatre. Garuda-Vishnu statue is huge and beautiful. Jendela Bali restaurant is very good - reasonable price and good food. You can opt for 'Trip and Eat' ticket which is 200K IDR per person that includes food voucher in Jendela Bali Panoramic restaurant.

The Good: Unmissable Statue: The star of the show is undoubtedly the massive Garuda Wisnu Kencana statue. It's truly awe-inspiring to stand beneath this towering monument, a testament to Indonesian craftsmanship and a significant symbol of Hindu mythology. Cultural Immersion: The park offers a glimpse into Balinese culture through traditional dance performances, art exhibits, and local vendors. It's a chance to learn about the rich history and heritage of the island. Panoramic Views: The location on the Bukit Peninsula boasts stunning panoramic views of the south Bali coastline, especially during sunset. Accessibility: The park is well-maintained and caters to diverse needs. You can find trams for easy navigation, and the Garuda Wisnu Kencana statue itself is accessible through an elevator. The Not-So-Good: Incomplete Project: Construction on the park is still ongoing, and some areas feel unfinished or lack proper maintenance. This can affect the overall experience. Limited Activities: While the statue is impressive, the park itself offers limited activities beyond sightseeing and cultural performances. It might not be a full-day destination for everyone. Cost-Effectiveness: Entrance fees and additional costs for activities like the elevator ride or cultural shows can add up, and some might feel it doesn't match the overall experience, especially considering the incomplete state of the park. Overall: The Garuda Wisnu Kencana Cultural Park is a unique destination with a breathtaking centerpiece. However, it's important to manage your expectations. While the cultural aspects and the statue itself are worth seeing, be prepared for an unfinished park with limited activities and potentially consider the cost involved before your visit.

We visited this place in the morning . We bought our ticket by the app, it is worth because we got the best deal , and i was check it day by day on app for best deal . We parked our car on the parking lot and we get to the main entrance by the shuttle and it is free . We don't need to make the line for entrance this place just scan our barcode that we got from the app . We aren't take a ride to reach the mean statue of 'Garuda Wisnu Kencana ' , because we walked and enjoy so many things even we can stop by in several place to take a beautiful picture. We can visited the theater to watch the live dance every an hour , if we visited in the top building near the main entrance we can visit the original statue , temple and also we can see the sea view. If you visited the main statue if you aren't buy another ticket you just visit the hall in the lower area or just take picture from the garden . If you buy the other ticket you can reach to the top of the statue . There are some souvenir shop, resrtaurant and mini market .

The highest statue of Lord Vishnu and Garuda. Must do tourist attraction while visiting Bali. They run free shuttle bus from parking lot to the ticket booth. *Magnificent and Majestic* Magnificent and Majestic are the words one can think of when you visit this must visit place in Bali! Depicting the nuances from great Hindu Mythology of Ramayana, this place is built to showcase the greatness of Garuda, the carrier of Lord Vishnu! Its being built at a huge space and one can see the main statue even while you are about to land in Bali because of its height! A must visit place and I would recommend this to all who so ever is visiting or planning to visit Bali!

GWK was amazing. An extremely grand park for tourist attractions and the view from the top is very soothing . You can see the coastline near Kuta beach very clearly. We saw their cultural dance as well. A very nice place it is, offering a lot to explore. A huge-huge park with good restaurants with the view. The good thing is that you can pay and opt for their shuttle services to explore the entire park.

What a scam.. there is nothing here, zero education. The main attraction is to go up in the Kencana. You can do this with a tour which of course is just another way to ask for more money. No problem, itโ€™s to be expected. The tour would start at 14:00. It was 12:00 at the time. 2 hour waiting just to go up.. No way. So the regular ticket just gives acces to a big garden that leads to the main building. Around it there are stores like starbucks and marco polo, very similar to Nusa Dua aka cultural poverty. Waist of time and money. Even worse than Tanah Lot

One of the master piece in Bali. The highest statue in Bali, Garuda Wisnu Kencana (GWK). They have spacious parking lot. 500 metres away from the ticket's locket. But they provide a frew shuttle bus, from parking lot to the locket. For local tourist, the entrance fee 85.000 / person. You can walk by yourself to the statue or take a shuttle . If u want take the shuttle, u should pay 30.000 / person. A little tips, don't forget to bring your sunblock / hat / sunglasses / umbrella here.

(Translated by Google) The best spot to see Bali The Garuda Wisnu Kencana statue was first built in 1997 by artist I Nyoman Nuarta at the expense of the Bali Tourism Development Corporation (BTDC). This statue is a form of Lord Vishnu as the God of Preservation (Sthiti) in Hinduism who is riding a Garuda bird. That is why this statue is named Garuda Wisnu Kencana or often abbreviated as GWK. Kencana means gold, because this statue of Garuda bird and Lord Vishnu stands in a gold-plated place. In 1998, when the monetary crisis occurred, the construction of this statue was stopped even though I Nyoman Nuarta had targeted to complete the Garuda Wisnu Kencana by the end of 2017. Not only that, most of the Hindu religious leaders in Bali also had time to reject the establishment of this large statue, because it is considered to disturb the spiritual balance of the island of Bali and it is unethical to become a tourist place. Even so, the construction of this statue has continued until now because most of the people of the Island of the Gods consider the existence of the Garuda Wisnu Kencana to increase tourist visits to the Island of Bali.

Monument park, the number 4 tallest statue in the world, the widest copper statue in the world. During pandemic, we have to get off from our vehicle on park lot A, and after check in with our apps, we're transported with an open air bus to the ticket counter. They implement strick health protocol to enter the complex. We can walk free or by buggy car with additional cost to the statue. A room with display and statues were free at the ground floor at the statue. We're lucky to have ticket to see view from 9th and 23rd fl because there's only 10 ticket every 30 minute. Don't forget to ask permission to fly drone on this area on the ticket counter area. Great monument, a landmark worth to visit.

i bought the tickets from an online vendor to avoid queueing. but apparently if you do that you'll still need to redeem those tickets and off course queueing if there are lots of visitors. the tickets available to buy online were just for the entrance. for the shuttle bus to take you from the drop off to the statue and for the tour inside the statue, you'll still need to pay for another tickets. a quite poor experience i think.

Really enjoyed our day out at GVK Cultural Park. We saw the cultural show in the theatre before wandering through the premises. It was a beautiful sunny day, so we enjoyed walking to all the statues, ending at the museum. We opted to walk rather than take the shuttle as it was a nice gentle walk up to the museum and only took about 10 minutes. We couldn't stay for the sunset show, but hope to come back again to catch that.

Very nice cultural center to visit and learn about Bali culture and traditions. The shuttle to the top was worth the small additional price because it is a little trek up the hill. We even drank and were blessed with holy water from the natural spring (my favorite part). The view is very beautiful as well.

Buggy takes directly to main monument, than walking is required to visit other monuments and than to go back to lobby. The biggest monument of Garuda Wishnu is breathtaking. The other sculptures are amazing too. Just found the exit sign difficult to see as park is big and I wish return could also be arranged in buggy. Overall would definitely recommend to visit here. Some more developments are going on.

This place landscape are very gorgeous, lot of photo spot available in this place. You can also learn about spiritual knowledge on this place. For food you can get lot of place near the entrance and exit gate including 2 big resto and a Starbucks. For the journey it self will require lot of walking and little bit hiking. There are 3 famous statue here which is Wisnu dedicated statue, Garuda statue and the main statue which is the Garuda Wisnu Kencana. If you didnโ€™t like walking a lot, you can use an electronic golf car (buggy) service. It will cost 40,000 IDR for each trip. Kids also can enjoy here, with some semi playground.

Anyway, the huge structures, mainly stone statues, deserve attention ... You can decide whether to go to the main stone statues on foot or by buggy. The buggies take 40๐Ÿ’ฒ directly to the main stone statues, so if you want to see the statues on the way, walking is appropriate, but it takes about 15 minutes and is hot. You could decide depending on the conditions.

Lovely experience, cost 600000 in local currency to go to the top inside of the statue. Very friendly staff and nice souvenir shop at the exit. Plenty of toilets and places to get food/drinks. Museum is a bit small and more for photo shoots. They also have shows every hour from 11:00am to 18:00pm to watch.

In our opinion, GWK cultural park is a must visit in Bali. When we were landing at Bali airport by sunrise we could see the massive statue from the windows and we were like "we need to go there". GWK is a massive cultural park with the great Wisnu statue as its main attraction. We had an entry ticket for 125k which included a free drink in their beautiful restaurant. In addition we booked a buggy for 40k to take us to the statue, and subsequently to the festival terrain. We had read that it is a long walk and taking the buggy was definitely worth the money. We had a great experience visiting the various statues and becoming familiar with the Bali culture. After our free refreshing drink we went to see the Polynesian music and dance show which completed the experience.

A little bit touristy, but still interesting. The main statue is worth a visit up close. The tour is a little rushed, but still interesting. Seeing the internal structure of the main statue and it's construction is pretty cool. The biggest plus, air conditioned and a toilet at 88m high... Anyway good views, good tour guides. The traditional dancing is pretty good, but probably done better elsewhere at sunset.

Great value day or half day out in Uluwatu. Get the shuttle bus after parking, the walk is quite far :) Gorgeous scenery and statues, with helpful explanations throughout written in English and Indonesian. The cultural dances were amazing and are included in the very reasonable entrance fee. Complimentary drink at the gorgeous restaurant but not good taste for sandwiches, but taste was not upto the mark as per Indian taste. Food is the major issue as we Indians are facings over the spot in Bali!!

We visited the park to go see the statue, as seen when you fly into Bali. The entrance fee to the park is 125k and you can pay an extra 40k pp to go via buggy up to the statue. If not, itโ€™s a 25 min walk uphill in the heat! They drop you off on the way back down but in the middle of the park so they can upsell their stalls and products. There is a free shuttle service from the car park to the main entrance. The statue itself is very impressive, we didnโ€™t pay to go in just a closer up view. Itโ€™s an okay day, although we did get pestered by Karma group employees trying to scam us on the way back down. Personally, If I had the choice to go back and not go then I would. Quite a few little extra costs add up for what was about 3 minutes of looking up at the statue.

We came here early in the morning and took a guided tour to the top of the statue. Had a nice view from there and we really enjoyed the tour, loved hearing about the history of the statue. After the tour we saw some traditional balinese dances at the park. They were very nice as well. Would recommend coming early as it gets very crowded later on.

I visited this cultural park during March 2023. I must say, I was awestruck completely and it has become one of my favourite places in Bali. The entire management and staffs are warm, welcoming and lovely. If youโ€™re planning to Fly a drone to capture some shots, make sure to get the permit at the information center which is located near by the fountain. The evening cultural program was one of the highlights of this park and donโ€™t miss it. This is place is for all.

If you visiting the top temple, take the shuttle ride up, it is kinda of a long walk. On the other hand you can walk and enjoy the scenery and other attractions within the facility. However if you decide to walk up, the way to get down is also by walking... unfortunately they didnโ€™t offer a single route shuttle at the time. Note: No cameras allowed in the temple you.

Visited this amazing place in late January, truly an amazing human feat. The lead up to the park is quite dramatic, but there is a feeling of serenity throughout. A must see when you visit! Pros: Amazing photo opportunities and alot of culture to be absorbed Cons: It can be quite challenging on a hot day for walking Pro Tip: Take lots of cold water and wear a hat. Pick the option where they drive you to the main part of the park.

I went to Bali in June 2019 for a school trip. This place was one of the places that I visited. This place is very clean and spacious. This place has a beautiful view that makes people want to take a lot of photos. This place has exhaustive facilities such as a lift for the people who have disabilities or people who got exhausted. But from the parking lot to the location is very far and it is exhausting. The light in the toilet was not bright enough. There are no boundaries between stairs around the location for people who go up or people who go down and it was a little bit confusing.

When I was there, I watched a show that made me amaze with it. The show contains a performance of traditional dance called โ€œTari Kecakโ€. This is one in the bucket list place need to see when we are in Bali. If you get here with your private vehicle, you have to park your vehicle in designated parking area below the hill. Then ride the shuttle bus to the ticket box. After that you have 2 choices, ride a paid golf car to the area or just walking uphill to get to the entrance area.

Overall impression is fine, although the park does seem a little empty still. But the main question is - why do i have to park my bike in the mud, when thereโ€™s an empty car park right next to it?? Makes no sense, and itโ€™s the first impression you get ๐Ÿ˜ก

It was good fun. It was the most expensive of all Bali's attractions. Its cool. Take photos of a giant vishnu or the building that has a vishnu on top them go. As of 2021 the price is 85,000 idr (although they claim it was more last year before covid) and the price for locals is 65,000 idr. Which is a lot for a statue. The sacred monkey forest in Ubud is probably has more wow factor and of course there's monkeys there too. Should you go there? I guess if you really feel you need the Instagram shot. Would I go there again? Probably not. It's expensive and not really worth the value.

I don't do many visits to all these cultural spots. But this one is unique, the huge statue is worth visiting. If you enjoy walks, come in the morning and hike up to the statue (which should take around 30+ minutes one way). They usually have cultural shows, but it has stopped ever since the pandemic.

  • 5/5 Gorkie 2 years ago on Google
I really like the sculptures and the cultural heritage of the park. By the way really big park, need to walk a bit, please do not forget to wear sth. cotton because in hot weather it is unbearable to wear silicon..

  • 5/5 Raissa P. 2 years ago on Google
Far way more organized and well managed than last time i visited it in 2005...but also not worth the entrance price as for me. It set a little bit too high for entrance but what we got was only see this and that, we need to pay extra if we want to go up the building and see bali island from above, and another extra if we do not want to walk...

  • 4/5 adrian p. 2 years ago on Google
Amazing cultural park with giant statues. Need some effort to walk and explore everything this place offers. I strongly advice you to come here wearing comfortable walking or hiking shoes, sunscreen, comfortable outfit, and hat. Some suggestion to management : 1. Parking area is too far from the park & need more efficient transportation. Maybe eco-friendly electronic car would be good. 2. Please provide basic information about statue specs, timeline, and history. Even they are recent creation, knowing why, how, and creation process would be great for us. Personally I have visited Nyoman Nuarta's studio in Bandung (NuArt) few years back, I know the history of it, but not many people knew about this.

  • 5/5 saverio e. 2 years ago on Google
Great statue with really wide area. To enter the area you have to pay 75k per person for domestic and 30k per person for shuttle. To enter the 9th and 23rd floor will be charge 100k per person. You'll be educated about the making process of GWK. Spare half day on this area because it's spend a lot of energy.

  • 4/5 Gabrielle 2 years ago on Google
The new statue already finished. The ticket price was 85rb per pax. And ylu have to pay more another tickets for the shuttle, to the 9th and 23rd level of GWK. They also have some photo area.. And also need to pay more if you want to have nice Photos

  • 2/5 Kevin 2 years ago on Google
The statue called Garuda Wisnu Kencana is indeed magnificent but there's nothing beside the statue itself despite the huge area and the high cost of 85k or around 6 dollar (this price is on sale, expect the ticket price will return to 135k or 10 dollar) I would recommend people just to admire from afar as this is not worth it attraction

This was realy great experience to visited GWK Cultural Park. One place for many iconic spot suck like three statue and Asana Artseum with in 20 more place instagramable photo spot area. If you want to visit here, i strongly recommend you to buy a ticket via agent travel because the price is cheaper than you buy at on the spot ticket counter. You can also pay IDR 30K at ticket counter to use shuttle to reached 3 big statue.

Really great place to relax! There were so many historical monuments along with some breathtaking landscape. And I had a very great time (and laugh) with the Joged Bumbung performance XD

  • 4/5 Lettisa D. S. W. 2 years ago on Google
We got here before NY eve.. A ticket worth 2 different dance performances which are all amazing. But if only they had a better information on how time people should spend on walking around, I'd come earlier so we can get inside and on to the 23rd floor monument. The Kecak dance performances was spectacular, BUT the staff failed to secure the seating area so local (especially locals) tourists are moving up and down DURING the play, even in the crowd. Hopefully in the future the staff can anticipate that, by ruling the area with fence or divider so the tourists won't walk around in front of other people who seriously respect to watch theatrical performances.

  • 5/5 Kevin L. 2 years ago on Google
Love the ambiance, the kecak dance, and the scenery. You need to walk quite a bit tho. I need to give a big applause to the security guy that took Awesome pictures for us! The sky was totally beautiful!

The structures are awesome and some of the hidden places are also nice, but it is a money grab and we werent even able to get to the top as it was "sold out"?! Also there were no english translations of the info plaques about the god statues which was a shame as I would have liked to have learnt about them. Not really worth it!@

A must visit place if you are in Bali..but be rady to walk to watch all the sculptures and buildings. Place is spread across a large area.. so as soon as you enter take a free ride to the ticket station and then you can choose either to walk to grab a vehicle at an extra cost. The dance in the auditorium and the main building is a must visit. Do carry a water bottle as sun is bali is strong.. but all in all it's worth visiting each monument. We loved it.. you'll love it too..

This place is truly unbelievable, when the park is completed it is going to be a major attraction, to stand and look up from the base is just unbelievable. The engineering that went I to tis monumental task is just beyond belief. Inside the effigies are of such fine art they almost appear real. You have to visit this. A bucket list activity.

Incredible place! We thought this statue was just in the middle of nowhere and itโ€™s actually a huge park. Not much was open due to being post pandemic and we also only had a couple of hours to walk around. The Visnu/Garuda statue is really impressive!

  • 5/5 Carolina S. 1 year ago on Google
Not enough words to describe. The few hours I spent there were very special. From seeing the Balinese dancers to visiting the different statues. The park has a little bit of everything to do. I really enjoyed the animated 30 minute film about the story of Vishnu and Garuda. Their shop is full of goodies, so many cool things to choose from. A lot of different things to do all in one place while learning about Balinese culture and tradition. I strongly recommend it.

  • 4/5 Rahul B. 1 year ago on Google
Pretty iconic destination for Bali, you can see the Statue anywhere from the south beaches. Even from Canggu! Had to go visit and only managed to get there in the evening so got to see it later at night. It's half price after 7pm so that worked out. Got some pics taken in the Art Museum and walked around the grounds to explore the sculptures. There was a free drink with the ticket which isn't all that, it's just an excuse to get you to the restaurant. Having said that, the restaurant was pretty cool and night time views were great. Didn't eat there unfortunately but might try if I do go again. Overall a tourist destination, not really a holy site so just an FYI.

  • 4/5 Hai N. 9 months ago on Google
Basically a long walking tourist attraction, with various statues and sculptures. Apparently there's also sometimes performances and events showcasing balinese culture. But I only went for the statues and sculptures. Was pretty cool overall, and at the end restaurants to recover. Some decent souvenir shops too. Quite beautiful, but I thought there would be more interesting views from the top whete the biggest statue is. Not too many maps around to help understand where to go and what to do though.

  • 4/5 Jordan B. 11 months ago on Google
Several large and impressive statues in this park! 122m tall statue you can see from all over Bali is something. To go up you need to pay an additional fee after the 125k entrance fee. The cliffs were very cool to walk through as well. Try and make it to one of the performances. We got to enjoy a Kecak dance which, the performers were very good! The detail in their work was amazing! 1-2 hrs spent here is enough time

  • 5/5 Sujay M. 9 months ago on Google
Love the place with so many sculptures, wonderful landscape, cultural shows. Be ready to walk since the place is big. Keep an eye on cultural show timings as soon as you enter so that you can manage accordingly. Going early as soon as it opens would be ideal and carry a hat since its open place, not much shade

A good place to spend a few hours. There is enough space to accommodate a huge crowd! The visit to the top of the tower is expensive! The dances inside are worthy for people interested in culture

  • 5/5 Fritz F. 7 months ago on Google
Large park grounds surround this gigantic statue which is amazing to see. It's extremely large and can be seen from a long distance a away. A small museum primarily of the history of this statue plus gifts kiosks are in the building directly below the statue. Reasonable admission for foreigners of approx 120k IDR. I would highly recommend you also purchase the one-way Tram for 40k IDR as this saves you a very very long and steep uphill walk. You can see extremely large rocks remaining from which the statue was mined and formed. At the entry/exit to the grounds is a large gift shop and snack bar areas.

  • 5/5 Todd C. 8 months ago on Google
Very neat and tidy, lots to look at tons of shopping and food, statue is huge, great place to add to the list of things to see in bali, make sure you do the walk and not the travel service up, you miss alot if you do

  • 5/5 Sweta R. 5 months ago on Google
The climb up to the statue is not too steep but think twice about taking the buggy. If you don't take it on the way up, you can't take it on the way down. You need to take a 2 way ticket. It's impossible to envision the massiveness of the statue when you're up close. You can take a guided tour within the statue. They give you information about the background and process of making the statue. Very interesting if you're into architecture/buildings. There's a photospot where you can take photos and get it printed down in the photo studio. Sheer massiveness of construction is worth visiting.

The place is more like a park with some big statues, built in recent times. It's a long walk to reach the main structure. Those who are not able to walk can avail the buggy facility paying additional amount. It's very hot at midday. I guess evening will be more pleasant. Overall a nice place to visit in Bali.

Loved this experience! Amazing statue! Surrounding grounds are also stunning. Guided tour which was very informative and we even received a gift of a wooden frame light box of the statue. The view from the top is breathtaking and spectacular! If you have the courage- you can stand on the glass platform and look down to see the structure of the building beneath you! Definitely a must! Thank you!
