Here, in this street of celebration; you stand in front of a monument that carry the souls of 202 died in one of the darkest moments in Indonesian history. This memorial stands for honouring those who were killed in the attacks. The monument is built in the Balinese Architectural way. The name of all those were died in the incident were scripted in the monument. Close your eyes and observe a moment of silence.

The Bali Memorial was built to Honor those that died in the Bali Bombing of October 12 2002. It is hard to.imagine the carnage that took place. When you see the development that has taken place since that time it is almost as if it never happened. It's something I will never forget, I was there. In Paddy's The photos you will see were taken by me in The Morning after The Bombing....

The Bali Bomb Memorial Monument is a solemn and moving tribute to the victims of the 2002 Bali bombings. It stands as a reminder of the tragic event, with serene surroundings that encourage reflection and remembrance. The memorial's design is both elegant and respectful, making it a must-visit for anyone seeking to pay their respects and gain a deeper understanding of Bali's history.

A spectacular memorial! We visited a few days after the anniversary so there were many wreaths and cards. Great to see the victims remembered.

The first bomb terror monument in Bali. This place is really clean and it's free! They added some colorful street lamps that I think that is unnecessary. This place really important to us, Balinese, because the first bomb terror can almost destroy this country. You also can find some mini-markets, cafes, restaurants, and pubs here. One of the most popular pub in Bali, Sky Garden, located about 100m from this monument.

It is a beautiful memorial to honour all the innocent victims whose lives were cut short by the Bali Bombings. It was nice to be able to pay our respects to those who passed.

After 22 years, it is not well kept, despite the constant stream of visitors. The fountains apparently no longer work, and the general cleanliness leaves much to be desired. Nevertheless, it's still a good place to go and cry for those we lost. I certainly shed my share of tears here.

(Translated by Google) If you've heard the news about the Bali Boom that occurred in 2002 then this is the place. This monument is one of the busiest monuments on the island of Bali. Its attraction is the architectural form of the monument and the list of 202 victims listed on the inscription. This monument is so photogenic that it is often used as a photo spot to capture tourist moments in Bali. This place does not charge or is free, therefore usually on certain days it is very crowded with local and foreign visitors.

My main observation is that there is no explanation as to what the memorial is for in other languages than Indonesian/Balinese. I took a friend to see it, who was too young to know of the event and would have had no idea had he had passed it alone. It really does need something to explain the horror of that day all those years ago

There is nothing special in this place unless you know the history of this monument. Situated in the heart of Legian makes this monument is very easy to access. After take photos and praying for victims, you can continue to walk around in this area.

Come early to avoid crowds since the place is so quiet in the morning. It's located in the heart of Kuta and such a beautiful monument yet heartbreaking to commemorate Bali Bombings' victims in 2002. It's clean and well-maintained with no entrance fee.

It was a bit difficult to find this monument in kuta, which has become a walking tour because it was difficult to ride a motorcycle due to a slight eye injury while snorkeling. I don't know if it's because I can't read the language well, or it's because I'm originally guilty, but there was a happening that came back after a while. But once it was a monument worth seeing. โžฟ The reason why the monument was built TMI. On October 12, 2002, a bombing broke out in a nightclub here, and many foreigners were injured and committed to it. There are also two Koreans on the list of deaths. It is said that it was a strong Muslim group that caused this terrorism, and it is said that this memorial was built to honor the souls of those people. Those who want the development of the area are saying that the memorial will be removed and a new building will be built. Hopefully, the sad thing that someone will die from a religious conflict will not happen. ๐Ÿ’๐Ÿปโ€โ™€๏ธ I have been leaving Korea for 15 months, but I still think that there is still time to look at Indonesia by Korean standards. So we didn't spend much time here, but went to the pub across the road and saw it. While we were there the misso gave a lot of lollies out to the kids that try to guilt you into buying a bracelet off them. Everyone seemed pretty happy about the situation, and the lollies weren't great so I don't really miss them. She rolled her ankle the same night and I had to piggy back home. Doesn't sound that great, but it was memorable and I don't recall what the pub was so this can have 5 stars

(Translated by Google) The incident known as the Bali Bombing 1 has long since occurred on October 12, 2002, but the memories of the tragedy of crimes against humanity will never be forgotten and will continue to be remembered until now, both for the survivors at the time of the incident, especially for the families of the victims who are mostly victims. come from Australia. The Bali Bombing Monument 1 containing the names of victims from 21 different countries was built so that similar incidents would never happen again anywhere in the world. Until now, every evening when the full moon is full, prayers are still being held at this monument to pray that the spirits of the victims can feel calm and peaceful and be accepted by the Almighty God. Although it has been quite a long time since, now this place has become a new tourist attraction in the village area of โ€‹โ€‹Legian and many domestic and foreign tourists who visit Kuta beach are still curious about the story of the incident and want to visit, see, send prayers. This road is sufficient for cars to pass, but cars cannot enter because there is no parking space for cars. For those who bring a car, the car is parked near the entrance gate and you have to walk quite a distance. For those who bring a motorbike, you can pass the road in the middle of the rice fields until it is close to the location of Cinta Beach and there is limited motorcycle parking available. The road in the middle of rice fields is muddy, muddy and flooded during the rainy season. You have to come early so that you can get a place and a table to enjoy the sunset, because many visitors come so the fast ones get a place. After parking the motorbike we will go down a small hill and we will cross a small river before arriving at the sunset view location.

The monument was built as a reminder of the tragedy that shocked the world on October 12, 2002, which became known as the Bali Bombing I tragedy. The events that killed 202 people were killed, most of them Australians and Indonesians. Not the Balinese if you can not design a monument that is both beautiful and magnificent. The purpose of making it a memorial is achieved but the attraction in terms of tourism is also fulfilled. Good job ...
