With an area of up to 60 hectares, walking around GWK can be very tiring, especially under the hot sun in Bali. Fortunately, the management of this cultural park provides a shuttle service called GWK Loop. This bus will take you around the huge statues located in the middle of the park. The bus also has large windows, making it easier for you to enjoy the garden view. GWK Loop buses are usually parked near the ticket sales counter. The afternoon is a good time to go to GWK. In addition to its outdoor location (so if you don't get too hot in the afternoon), the sunset view from GWK is also very beautiful. In addition to seeing the large statue, tourists can also see various Balinese art performances. There are seven dances performed every day, one of which is the Balinese Dance which is performed at the Amphitheater at 10.00 am.

Today’s weather is cloudy but not too sunny. We when to GWK at Sunday afternoon. The place is clean and the garden is well-maintained. Many flyers installed along the driveway. From the front of the place, My husband and I didn’t see any security or gatekeeper in the gate entrance. So, we entered the place till we met a security post. He directed us to park closed to their post. After cross checking that we are visitors, the security seems to be regreted because we didn’t park in the visitor’s parking lot. (If i’m not mistaken the parking area that the police meant was around the Revayah plaza, which is far from the security post.) By then, we are allowed to park in the staffs parking lot without turning back to the parking lot should be. I thought, we are not clearly see the direction in the street or maybe the direction is not clearly directed. What else, when we are going home we see 3 cars came close to the security post next to our parking lot, but requested to be returning back to park in the right place. Then, we saw the same thing occurred to other people who experience as we did. My suggestion to this issue, should the staffs stayed infront of the entrance gate of gwk or parking lot, to direct or inform the visitors, who have visited the place or not at all. There is no parking fee at the place we park. From the security post, we need to walk around 1-2 minutes to the check in place. Make sure your phone battery is always ready or full. Because you need it for check in process, which is scanning the barcode at peduliLindungi and checking body temperature The ticket is charged 100 thousand each person. Its also includes watching Tari Kecak at 6 pm and Joged Bumbung at 4.30 pm. Additionally, visitors can ride the gwk shuttle service, for around 30 thousand rupiah each person. At that time, we went there around 15.14 pm. We didn't go in and just sat in front of the ticket booth. We didn’t wait for the activities. We went to other places, then

Very organised when getting tickets (AUD $12 each) and $4 for the shuttle ride up the hill to the statue. Walking back down to the gardens was easy enough. $25 to go up into the statue and there are lifts. Plenty of opportunities for great photo taking around the park. Has plenty of toilets as well as food places. The museum is more of a photo place where you can get photos in different backgrounds not really a museum as we know. Because most of the area is built into the rocks it does get hot walking around. To get a Bluebird or Grab you need to exit the park and get picked up just near the entrance. Your return ride will cost you more from GWK and your best to order one. Apparently the 4th highest statue in the world.

I was able to go on a private tour inside the statue which was remarkable. I was in awe of the sheer beauty of the statue as well as the park in general. It is huge and the development plans are still underway (hotels and more restaurants to be made) but there's still plenty to do and see and enjoy. They have hourly dances to enjoy so make sure to check out the timetables. Plenty of eating and drinking places too..you may need to be carried around in a buggy because of the sheer size of the area and there are steep hills too. However you can pay 40,000 local currency for these transport. Entry tickets after 7pm are half price.

GWK Cultural Park: An Iconic Balinese Attraction GWK Cultural Park, or Garuda Wisnu Kencana, is a large cultural park located in the Bukit Peninsula of Bali, Indonesia. The park is home to a number of attractions, including a giant statue of Garuda Wisnu, a Hindu god, a traditional Balinese village, and a number of performance venues. I recently visited GWK Cultural Park and I was very impressed. The park is beautifully landscaped and the attractions are well-maintained. The giant statue of Garuda Wisnu is particularly impressive. It is the largest statue of its kind in the world and it is truly awe-inspiring to see it in person.

Just had an incredible visit to GWK Cultural Park, and I'm still in awe! The park boasts a variety of attractions, from the majestic Garuda Wisnu statue to a charming traditional Balinese village and multiple performance venues. The overall beauty of the park and the meticulous maintenance of the attractions left a lasting impression on me. The giant Garuda Wisnu statue, standing as the third tallest in the world, is absolutely breathtaking in person. An awe-inspiring experience that I highly recommend to anyone exploring Bali!

Personally did not enjoy it. Except the part where I rent the traditional bali costume😇 We should pay ticket for the entrance gate, then from the entrace to the statue the distance is 2km by walk. If you want to take the cable car it costs IDR 30,000 each… After reaching the statue, we should pay again if u want to go to the top of statue.

It's a good cultural experience. Allow a few hours while visiting the park as there will be a lot of walking, taking photos, and watching the shows. I wasn't very impressed with the museum as there were many sales gimmicks which are uncommon for a museum but nonetheless it's good to visit.

What a great place to visit, to see the Balinese culture so closely with impressive and massive statues, cultural dance performance, theatre to watch movie based on the park theme!! If you are visiting with young kids, make sure you have a pram or opt for a shuttle bus as it's a fairly long walk around in the heat! The entry ticket with eating at the restaurant is an absolute value for money as the food served is just 5* mark!! There is a sovereign shop in the park and some local shopping available too, which offers good pricing compared to some touristy shopping

The greatest statue lord vishnu. The detail of this statue is amazing. For regular entry tickets 125 thousand rupiah. There is a theater where you can see Balinese cultural performances. There is also an art museum and food court.

I visited this place during the Covid pandemic with my neighbor's kids. This place has many kind of bird from all around the world. The explanation board at each of cage or place is helpful. They also have Komodo dragons. The area is spacious with canteen and park benches. Family visit will be a good time to spend here. We got cheap ticket price during this time, but I recommend to check their website before purchase anything. Good luck!

The park is not very spacious but in the scale of Bali is big enough. There is amazing view to the ocean and huge statues. The biggest statue is ca. 120 m high, but to go up on the statue you need to pay extra. There is also an amphitheatre with free shows for all visitors several times a day.

It may feel like a tourist trap, but GWK Festival Park is well worth the ticket price. There is lots to see and do, you can explore at your own pace, and the enormous statues of Lord Vishnu surely are impressive. The restaurants are pricey and not too impressive, and the art museum is a bit disappointing for holding Bali’s first curated exhibition. The dance performances at every full hour are entertaining with an authentic orchestra of local instruments, but they feel a little too gimmicky (the audience gets to play the instruments, while the dancers put on a little slapstick comedy). Still, our visit was good fun.

The GWK Park itself is magnificent and I'm totally loving the vibe. The only thing is that they give too many tickets that can only be included in one sheet of paper instead of few small ones, also some staff are not as polite either to locals or foreigners. They have 3 different types of tickets with different prices as well, 1st is regular ticket for the entrance and refreshment drink at the exit gate, 2nd is for Bali people only (cheaper than the other 2 tickets), and the 3rd ticket is for entrance, refreshment drink and food. They don't provide English translation for details of the tickets, this gives quite a difficulty for some foreigners. I hope they can improve these parts.

With a very small sum (around 150K rupiahs) we were able to visit the whole place, including taking the lift to the 23rd floor (the highest that you can visit), a local guide who spoke excellent English, watching the traditional Legong/Barong dance in the amphitheatre and finally enjoy a lemonade for free at the internal cafe (with a stunning view over the bay). What can I say? Best spent money in quite a while!

If you're into tourist trap attractions, this could be the place that peek your interest. As I'm writing this review, this massive place have everything. Souvenir shops, lore, local cultural dance, restaurants, you named it. You could spend noon to night time due to intricate schedule here. Alas, for it's price (100k/person) with extra fee to see scenery from Garuda's view (50/person, 15 people/30 mins at a time) compared to service and heat, for me is a bit pricey. All and all, 3/5 may be someday will going there with more sunscreen.

Definately not to be missed. The statues are so impressive! The walk in the park is very nice and althought we came in the middle of the day and it was already quite hot, there was enough shade to rest in. The views of the city are great as well! Even with kids, we did not think that the shuttle to the GWK was necessary and the walk is doable if you have enough time.

Enrich your horizon in culture and history by coming to this place. The rock forming cliff is amazing. If you're not a fan of long walk, please get the shuttle buggy for around 40k. Don't forget to stop by the turtle pond and throw your coin to make a wish. The jendela restaurant offers you an unfirgettable and soothing experience, having meals or juat sipping the beverage while enjoying the amazing view of GWK statue, city of Bali and the sea of Bali from above. Ginger tea is highly reccomended here. Don't forget to buy the wooden frog in the souvenir area for luck.

It is a small and nice place to visit, you can visit while going to or coming back from ulluwatu. The entry fee is 125.000 and you can cover this place in 2-3 hours. The world's fourth largest statue of Garuda is situated here.

Garuda Wishnu Temple is the one of the attractions in the Kuta, recently Established the Big Garuda statue, you can see while landing to the BALI , and I think from everywhere surrounding the Kuta, very clean and neat , there are clean toilets and sitting place and chairs, sovereigns shop for purchasing the domestic special items of the Indonesia, and many hotels , and if you don’t want to go by busses and cars in the temple you can walk , I think altogether around 4-5kilometres, but you don’t feel like that if you have a good company like mine 😄and good weather, we have been there in the humid time it was little hard for us to walk, but we all enjoyed and had good food with coupons which was complementary (200k) with our tickets.

It's good that you don't need to take an additional paid shuttle here. Just enjoy the facilities and the trip. Advice to bring a folding umbrella and sunglasses, because the heat is quite hot. The view and entertainment facilities are quite complete and okay. Because every hour there is.

Finally satisfied our curiosity about the giant statue we can see from the airport. The park is good for sightseeing, and took us only about 30 mins to see everything. There are activities as well but we did not participate. Accesible. But watch out for people trying to “sell” hotel packages on your way out. Obvious tourist traps. Was a bit hard to get a car out of the venue.

Big area to walk. There is Starbucks if you want some coffee. You can also get a scooter or bicycle to ride on square before the monument. Entrance price is 95K IDR

Currently the fourth highest monument in the world. The entrance fee is quite expensive, but they're having promo during these days. There's so many attractions you can try here. There's a mini ogoh2 exhibition in the main hall. You can also take an elevator inside the monument with some additional fee.

Great arts and concept. Artistic and genuine. Just suggest to improve with free buggy service at least from the festival park to the GWK building or vice versa .. in case if a family member get tired then she/ he then could take a ride for releasing the exhausted after walking all from the start.. that would be excellent if management could improve it. Otherwise amazing and really artistic.

We always get out here on the hired bike when we are in Nusa Dua. This year was the first time up to the Garuda statue, very impressive. Much more professional this visit and it seems to be expanding nicely, when you see what they have planned for the place its mind blowing. Make sure to pay for the ride to the Garuda statue.....

Spent a good three hours here but easily could’ve been longer. Highly recommend watching at least a bit of the Kecak show- whole thing is about an hour long. We took the buggy to the top but the line was long so if weather is decent, I recommend walking. It is uphill but you can make a stop at the festival area before going all the way to the statue. If you have the time, give yourself about a half day to explore.

  • 5/5 R B. 1 year ago on Google
Currently, GWK is the second largest statue in the world, which is a pretty amazing sight to see. The walking path to the main statues includes folk tales and cultural beliefs with statues that match the setting. Overall, GWK Park was a great learning experience and I would definitely recommend this place as a "must see" on any cultural trip to Bali. If you found my review helpful, follow my local guide profile to see my experiences with other top destinations!

We visited this sprawling park on a weekday, and it took about an hour to wait in line for tickets, so if you can buy them online before arriving that is a better option. Also, even though we arrived by taxi, we had to be dropped off at a parking area then ride a shuttle to the ticket office. The park is huge with gardens and statues everywhere, with some signs explaining their history or significance. It takes about 25 minutes to walk all the way back the huge statue of Wisnu (the 4th largest statue in the world) m, but shuttle rides are available for an additional fee. We did not go up in the elevator to the top of the statue to see the views, or eat in the onsite restaurant. There are many shops around the park, a food court, an amphitheater with free shows. The free “art museum” features local artists work, and a photography studio that allows you to dress in Balinese costumes for photos of yourself and your family in different settings.

But the cages are not really small, really, there are lots of cages that are tall and big and big, so we are like entering their world. ✅ Come here, don't forget to bring an umbrella, yes, yesterday we were in the rain here, so we had to go home early :( (Original) Kalau enggak salah, Bali bird park hanya buka di hari Sabtu dan Minggu.

We had no expectations as we aren't bird fans, but we won free tickets. So decided to go, December 2020 and we thoroughly enjoyed this place as it wasn't busy and the birds are absolutely amazing, all colors, all sizes, from all around the world. It's well maintained, cozy, tropical lush, and we highly recommend it.

I came here during the pandemic, in December 2020. The place is quite big, yet not so big that you to explore for a couple hours by walking. They have many birds and the best part they have outside-the-cage friendly ones (the ones who you can play and take pic with). In some areas, we are allowed to feed the birds. I believe kids will love this. Every 1 hour they have a 10-minute bird show. It was pretty fun to watch and of course it's very educational. The show, however is in bahasa Indonesia. I guess it's not foreign-tourist friendly. The description plaque on each cage is in English though. The entrance fee is only 50k Rupiah. It was worth every penny 🦜

(Translated by Google) This is where the kcl must know all kinds of "birds, we are even presented with an eagle show, so we like so many types of birds that are beautiful" can take a photo with the ticket is very cheap, very suitable for holidays, but only one is not where to play children 🙈🙈 become less complete so it can't be long "dsna ... D this pandemic season we can freely enjoy the island of the gods tour because only local tourists who are there are not USA worried about having to spend time on vacation in the island of the gods, bali as a pandemic. It ends so that the economy of the residents returns to the same way it was 🙏 (Original) Disinilah dsaat si kcl hrs tau smua jnis" burung bahkan kami masi d suguhkan dgn pertunjukan elang jd suka bgt banyak jenis burung yg cantyk" bs d ajak foto brsama tiket sangatlah murah cocok bgt buat liburan brng sm klrg cuma satu aja yg kurang tmpat arena brmain anak 🙈🙈 jadi kurang sdikit komplit jd gk bs lama" dsna... D musim pandemi ini kami bs leluasa mnikmati wisata pulau dewata krn hnya turis lokal saja yg ada jd kmi gk usa khawatir hrs mnghabiskan wkt brlibur d pulau dewata bali smg pandemi lkas brakhir shingga ekonomi warga kembali sprti dulu lagi 🙏

(Translated by Google) It is quite good that the arrangement of animals is arranged from the regions of Java, Sumatra, Kalimantan, Papua and some are released naturally equipped with nets with a height above large tall trees, generally good, unfortunately lack of information boards so it is quite difficult to find the exit. (Original) Cukup bagus pengaturannya satwa diatur asal daerah Jawa ,Sumatra ,Kalimantan ,Papua dan ada yg dilepas natural dilengkapi jaring dg ketinggian diatas pohon tinggi besar ,secara umum bagus ,sayang kurang papan informasi sehingga cukup sulit mencari pintu keluar .
