Our family had the best short stay at Mara river Safari Lodge, it's one of the best experiences we've had to date. I was beyond impressed with the family room which was much larger than I expected and had two full size bathrooms overlooking the pool. But more impressive than the pool view was the African plain located directly in front of the pool and the extra touches I hadn't read about anywhere such as the basket of carrots in your room which you can feed to the zebras and wildebeests. We were amazed at the set up of the restaurant which has 3 sections with animal viewing, lions, hippos and meerkats. The kids and we were in awe. All the staff but in particular restaurant staff were amazing, professional and went above and beyond. From the moment we arrived it was as if all staff knew our name and room number. They were very welcoming and helpful making sure we made the most of all experiences available including elephant rides if interested or a fire dance at 8pm. If we ever find ourselves back in the area we will be back in a heartbeat and staying a minimum of 2 nights. Highly recommend.

I would strongly recommend the Safari to anyone traveling to Bali with their family for vacation. My child enjoyed his one-night stay at the Mara River Safari Lodge. After a short drive from DPS, it took little time to check into the rooms. There were giraffes, wildebeest, and zebras right in front of your balcony, making the view from the rooms amazing as well. Not to mention our breakfast at the Tsavo Lion Restaurant, where you can eat while looking at the lions from your seat.

Overall a very good experience for families; the highlight of the trip was definitely the night safari, with close up to the lions and tigers. The negative part was definitely the buffet breakfast and especially the dinner, which was lacking in both quality and variety. The ala carte was however quite decent. The room service took almost 2 hours, which was quite unpleasant. Nonetheless, the overall experience was considered great.

Best vacation so far. Love the scenery. The service provided is at its very best performance. All staff is friendly and helpful. Check-in and check-out times also is very fast as we don't have to wait long. The bed is so comfortable that we can't see any stains on the bed comforter. Highly recommended for family and company training trips. Definitely will repeat once the ocean life is opened.

One of the best for family vacation. We stay at 2 twiga room and the view from the room balcony was amazing we can see African animal from it like zebra, wild the beast, rhino and the giraffe. The kids love it and don’t want to move to another hotels. The staff at the lodge was so friendly and explain all the benefit that we got so we don’t miss all the shows and activity that available at the park. The staff at the park also friendly it’s a big clean park it’s not enough to explore it in one day. Will be comeback again and next time I will stay for more than 1 night

Stayed 1 night in the hotel but I definitely recommend at least 2 nights to enjoy looking at zebras and rhinos from the room and the lions and meerkats from the restaurant. Viewing animals from the pool was fantastic too. We also did feeding of elephants and giraffes just outside the restaurant. Bali safari park is a very short walking distance away, and kids love the petting zoo in which they fed rabbits and goats. We will come back again and stay longer in our next trip to Bali. In addition, the animal shows in Bali safari park is highly recommended. There is no animal performance which obeys their nature. Elephant show is highly entertaining and educational.

It's great experience with my kids. You can see animals outside of hotel window. Free access to swimming pool, water park and safari. It's more than you pay. You should pay for night safari which including great buffet

Very good layout and interior design for tourists to travel around. Hotel is my best part since you can see animals directly from room balcony. Some fruits and vegetables are prepared in our room for feeding animals. You just need to throw them from the balcony to the fields in order to attract animals. All kids love hotel facilities and foods. Hotel guests can have free pass to the zoo. Good choice for family travel. Enjoy it.

Had a ton of fun here, really brings you back to a sense of childlike wonder for the animal kingdom. I booked a Twiga room, on the second floor. You’re close enough to toss carrots to the zebras in the free roaming zone below. It also came with a free safari pass but only for the regular bus. An improvement would be offering higher tier rooms with the better Feed the Predator pass or discounts on it. Besides that, I thought it was lame they don’t help you book such things in advance when you book your room — we didn’t know we’d need to book it in advance so couldn’t do it the day we wanted to, and nearly missed out on the experience. The park itself is great and I definitely recommend checking out all the shows you can, each was better than I expected.

A must do when visiting Bali! I had an amazing time here! Right from the start every little detail is covered - the room was lovely, had great views of the giraffe, zebras and rhinos! Free carrots are out in your room so you can feed the animals too whenever you want! Pool is also great with swim up bar and views of the animals! The food in the restaurant was delicious with amazing views of the lions! (Even the bathroom in the restaurant has a window where you can see the lions!)

Amazing experience staying at the resort. The highlights would be: 1. Waking up to see Giraffe, Zebra, Rhino from the room was an experience unlike any that I had experienced in the past. We stayed in Twiga room which was very good and comes with all amenities that you will expect from a 4 star property. There is also a basket of carrots placed in each room which you can feed to zebra, giraffe from your room. 2. Nothing can beat the feeling that you get while having breakfast/lunch/dinner with the lions at the Tsavo Lion restaurant. 3. The park is very well maintained and there are lot of shows that take place throughout the day. One time day Safari journey, Elephant show, Tiger show and Animal show are included with the stay. If you want to have more experiences like feeding the carnivores, night safari etc. that too is available at additional price. Really enjoyed the various animal encounters and the African fire dance at the hotel. 4. The staff is very courteous and helpful. Highly recommend everyone to go and stay at this unique resort.

A great place to stay right inside the safari, especially families with young kids. Rooms were of decent size and clean. From the balcony, you can see rhrinos, elephants, zebras hanging out. From the lodge, we went around the safari to check out the animals. A very unique experience for us. Service from the crew is excellent! We did a checkout at 3am and everything went smoothly. Highly recommended!

We stayed here for a night. The rooms are clean, spacious and well decorated. We overlooked the animals in the middle and woke up to the sounds of chickens which was really nice. If you’re a light sleeper probably not for you as there is noise all night from the animals but that can’t be helped. The park itself was good nothing too special. The shows were really good and they had a good way of delivering their messages (look after animals) the restaurant was nice for dinner and breakfast our waiter was ‘suwitri’ and she was absolutely amazing she made us so comfortable. She was so attentive, helpful you could really see that she understood her job we can’t thank her enough! Only downfall to this is they had a giraffe in the middle for a view from the hotel and it was clear he/she didn’t want to be there as they just stood by the gate the whole time and no one took any notice. Overall good experience and would only need to stay here for one night

A must try. Very exciting especially for family outing. It's easy to bring little kids, and also the grandparents. Get your discounted tickets to the Safari at the hotel.

Amazing experience of the Safari. The room overlooking the Safari is totally worth it. From the Safari bus ride, animal feeding, breakfast with the Lion and several shows throughout the day are the best we have seen. Would highly recommend anyone visiting Bali to consider staying a minimum 1 night at the Lodge.

Book in AU in September. Received a booking confirmation. Arrived and no booking ? Showed our printed email. Still they could not find. Very helpful lady at the desk called the manager several times to try and help. We asked to speak to the manager. Manager refused to come out. They offered a room at now double the amount on our reservation. Again when we asked to see the manager to see if we can get a better price. Manager again refused to come out. We just payed. Very happy with the stay experience however the bed was awful. We where near the giraffes and fruit provided to feed them. Overall I would stay again. For the price we payed of $350 a night however you would expect 2 coffee sachets not just 1, and a second gown. Beautiful park, great breakfast, friendly staff. just bad hotel management.

You will have to sleep with lots of mosquitoes, insects, and bugs. Canopy around the bed was dirty and moulded. Floors were sticky. Insects noise will wake you up at night. But I would recommend it for a one day stay for this rare experience sleeping around animals.

Can’t recommend this place enough! Amazing view, pleasant and very helpful staff, the hotel and its surrounding is well kept and taken care of. 10/10 The Tsavo Lion restaurant is also worth mentioning, staffs are very attentive and food was superb 👍🏻 we’re traveling with 2 small children, and really recommend staying at Mara River if you’re planning to visit Bali Safari with the kids.

Other than dirty air con filters and a hard bed, everything else in the room was spot on. Loved the water pressure in the shower especially. The view from the room is one I could wake up to every day. So magical! The restaurant food was not as good as it has been on previous stays here and not much in western food on offer. The park experience was enjoyable as was the night Safari, that’s always the highlight of our stays here. The staff are also very pleasant. Thank you for another memorable stay at Mara River Safari Park. Michelle & Craig

My toddlers love the view from the balcony. Didn’t get a chance to swim in kiboko pool but we managed to spend time at water park zone. The kids had lots of fun. Breakfast has good spread.

Bali Safari Park and Resort is like stepping into a wildlife wonderland! The animals are a real highlight – you get to get really close and personal with them during the safari journey. The guides are super informative, making the whole experience not just fun but educational too. My only suggestion would be to add more shady spots for visitors, especially when it's scorching hot. The resort itself is top-notch, with comfy accommodations and great dining options. It's a must-visit for anyone who loves nature and animals!

Wow, what an experience our family had. Wildlife feeling in everything they offer. Pretty unique setup as you get to see some wild animals right from your room’s balcony. Highly recommend this for families with young kids!

We visited the Mara River Safari Lodge in August 2023 and the experience was average. The positive is the hotel location from where we can see Zebras and 2 Giraffe. The rooms were not meeting expectations as per the cost they charge for 2 adults. They also charged us extra amount for my 3 year old child while check-in. The food prices (buffet) were too high while the quality and taste was average. Choice of foods where also less compared to price they were charging. There are bunch of 3 starts hotels available in Bali which are much cheaper and provides better service and testy foods.

We turned up at the Mara River Safari Lodge without a reservation and were warmly welcomed by Fernando. He was very polite, helpful and professional. Having decided to stay, he talked us thru all the options and patiently answered my many questions. The room (208), had an amazing view over the landscape with zebras, a giraffe and another animal whose name escapes me! It was a great size, clean, and had a TV showing satellite channels. The Safari Park was full of great surprises and the massage included in our package was a great way to finish our stay. The only negatives were the quality of the food at dinner, and the service at breakfast. There's room for improvements with both, but not that bad that it spoiled the whole experience.

This place is actually quite fun during the night. You have a view towards the field of grass where the zebra graze daily, and sometimes the giraffe appears there as well. The lodging with a mostly wooden interior with African style motif and decor to complement the field. You can enjoy dinner with the Night Safari experience in the lodge restaurant while looking at the lions right next to your viewing windows. I got to meet a gecko in my bathroom at night, surprised both me and it, his tail got cut by the fans though, poor guy.

This place is amazing! Staff are very friendly and welcoming! I highly recommend for families and couples to stay here a night or two. Pros: +You will have a beautiful view with zebras, and rhinos going around the enclosure. Not to mention you can feed them with complimentary carrots! +Delicious breakfast buffet with lions! Not one, but 4 of them! Don't forget those cute meerkats as well! Hardly get that experience except in Savannah Africa probably. +You have free access to the Safari/Marina Zone where you can see a lot of animal show, petting zoo(feeding them), and enjoy their beautiful architecture. +Rooms are very clean and gives out that Savannah vibe kind of environment. Cons: -If you end staying at the edge of the hotel rooms like we did, its a bit far to feed the animals. Where I had to throw the carrots very far like a grenade throwing posture to make sure the carrots reach them. -Also, if you are planning to use Grab for your transportation after check-out, it could be a bit tricky. Because as we were to get Grab(within Lodge area) we hardly get any response from those drivers for some reason. Maybe we were just unlucky or drivers were just busy during those check-out hours. Overall, Mara River Safari Lodge is a must experience place to stay and it is worth every penny of your money! Not much complaints from a couple having their honeymoon in this lodge!

Our stay was beyond our expectations. The room was simply awesome, especially the view, overlooking the animals, being able to feed them from the comfort of our room. The safari itself was also delightful, shows were great and probably the best thing was definitely the hospitality and friendliness of the entire hotel and safari crew. Simply unforgettable. Looking forward to a repeat stay in the future.

The staff was very welcoming and made special arrangements (room decoration, bday cake) for my toddler for his 3rd bday. The resort is very unique in a way that allows you to really interact with the wild animals very closely. We had a great time and look forward to another visit soon.

We stayed at the Mara River safari lodge for two nights for a bit of a rest during our Bali holiday. Being right with the animals really exceeded our expectations and we found ourselves really immersed in the adventure and excitement of being up close to them. Having breakfast with the lions roaring just outside, or sitting on our balcony overlooking the rhinos and zebras grazing - both amazing experiences. Hope to be back with our family soon.

It need around 1 hour from our previous hotel in Jimbaran to arrive in here. We check in at 16 and go to our twiga room by car provided by the hotel. The room is spacious with queen bed and balcony where we can see zebra and rhino. They also provide 1 basket of carrot to feed those herbivore animals. The facility is include 3 show: Animal Show, Elephant Show and Tiger Show. It's a great hotel with amazing ambience and experience that you should try. My daughter is really excited in here and my husband say 1 night is not enough to enjoy all the experience and facility in here.

Amazing rooms, so spacious and beautifully decorated. Kifaru room is huge with 2 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms. Balcony over looks a sparkling pool with a swim up bar. Can feed carrots to the zebra and rhino from the pool area. Bats fly at night and you can hear the lions roar. Great service by everyone

Great atmosphere to get you started before your safari park visit, friendly and helpful staffs, they have shuttle service to take you and your bags to and from the room. We got to see some animals like meerkats, hippo, and Lions up close from the restaurant. One negative is probably room cleanliness (lots of lizards and spider webs).

It was great all the activities were fun and engaging one of the highlights were the night Safari and the feed the predators activity. The rooms were great very comfortable, it had a jungle feel to it felt like the room was built in the jungle but it is very comfortable and great. The view of the room was greeted every morning by animals. I was greeted by the zebras and giraffes. My stay was great and I enjoyed every second of it.
