This place is so much better now. Have not been here for a while due to travel restriction during pandemic. When I am back, wow, the road from Bypass Mandre connected directly to the beach here. It was cover with bushes and tall grass few years ago. But, now is beautiful. Since this beach is few steps away from my house, I could jog and walk in the morning and enjoying the sunrise πŸ‘πŸ½ Well done Banjar Tangtu πŸ‘πŸ½

They are doing some renovations here. I think they are making it more into a park, which would be nice. They just need to clean up the beach. Like most Bali treasures, it's become a garbage dump. Too bad. The surf isn't bad. Mostly locals, but if it rains, the water turns into a thick brown soup with all sorts of disgusting debri underneath. It all comes from the river mouth by Pura Ciampuan.

Good for sunrise walk, sports, no swimming. Very close to The Samata Resort. I came to this beach to enjoy Tangtu Beach Festival

Was very lucky to find the Kite Festival on today at this beach in late June 2023. The Festival is held annually late June through to August, depending on winds & locations vary. If you're lucky enough to find a Kite Fest schedule, I'd absolutely recommend this spectacular event. But be warned, it's hot, dry, & sparse seating. Drinks are on sale of course, so that's great. And some food & snacks. But if my 89 year old mother can cope, I think you will too! πŸ€—

While this is a beautiful spot for the sunrise, the lack of care and maintenance of the public space, including sea wall, is disappointing. In addition to the trash washing out of the river and in from the sea, they are now actively receiving building (and other) waste which is being dumped just behind the beach. Disrespectful and destructive of what was a lovely natural space and supposedly special traditionally healing black sand beach.

Nice place but the beach is very dirty. Beautiful temple. Just wish people wouldn't trash the beaches and natural areas.
