Wonderful experience. We prefer not to visit zoos generally, but reading the reviews we decided to make an exception. And it is true what they commented, the animals are seen in very good condition and the facilities are clean and well conditioned. Without a doubt, the treatment of the employees is the highlight. They are very careful, friendly and make you live a great experience. I hope that this quality is maintained over time.

Fantastic little zoo just out from Sukawati. 200k entry includes a key ring and 20k towards food and drink in their cafe. The zoo is very clean , all the animals looked in excellent health and plenty of staff about too . The highlight is obviously the handling area where there was 3/4 trained staff to let you interact with snakes (pythons) , tarantulas , scorpions , bats , birds , owls , lizards , hedgehogs to name a few . Staff never asked for tips although there is a tipping box which you should use as the staff were very helpful and informative. Many other caged animals from deadly to the naughty on show too. Cafe at the end was more than reasonable in range and in cost. Spent 2 hours here and could easily be longer. Great day out for all including kids.

100% visit this place!! Walking through the local rice fields to enter this place was beautiful. Very reasonable entry price which even includes a little souvenir and a water before you leave. The zoo is small which isn't a surprise, (the hint is in there name). But easily can spend an hour or two there. The main attraction to this place is they allow you to get very hands on with a big selection of there animals. The handlers I found were very respectful of the creatures and handling them did not harm or distress them. You can take as many photos as you want with your own camera or phone. Which is exactly what we did. 2 thumbs up guys!

The best wildlife experience in Bali, there's no where else with such an intimate experience with exotic animals that you can touch and hold. You can take your own photos holding the animals and they're in happy and healthy condition. A walk through the rice patties to enter it, friendly and knowledgeable staff, this place just blew us away. Simply a must do experience for any passionate wildlife enthusiast 10/10

This place packs a lot of nice and exotic animals despite the size of the area. Some of them are roaming freely including monitor lizards. The best part is after the exit, there is a nice cafe overlooking a vast field with chilli plants. It's windy and nice. You will need to park your vehicle on the road and take a 5 minute walk through a short path. Overall an enjoyable outing but the entrance price is 200k for adult and 170k for kids. I consider the tickets are to support the animals welfare there.

My family had a great time at Hidden Mini Zoo yesterday! My 12 year old said it was the best zoo he’s ever been to, and we’ve been to a bit! I think this was because the personalized attention we got. We went first thing in the morning, and for about 45 minutes three handlers helped us hold bats, iguanas, a tarantula, scorpion, hedge hogs, pythons, and beautiful birds. Then we got help give some food to the monkeys as we learned about each of them. The zoo has some beautiful birds, cute baby piglets, among other things. It’s not huge, but that is also what’s nice about it, not overwhelming. Can go slow, and enjoy. Juice at the cafe was fabulous as well. Recommend a stop at the hidden zoo if you’ve got youngsters that may be keen to hold/pet a few animals.

Perfect family trip with mum dad and 4 and 2 yr old. Highly recommended! Get there early it’s only very small can walk through in 30 min but great interactivity with the animals. Kids got to handle birds lizards snakes hedgehogs and a bay for an hour before other groups arrived for a good 45 min. Great food at cafe at end of walk through!

What an amazing experience! The staff were so friendly and helpful. Beautiful grounds with an excellent array of different animals ❤️ You get the opportunity to hold so many and the photos they take for you are great! Highly recommend 10/10!! A must do when visiting Ubud.

This place was perfect for us due to travelling with 2 small children who are only capable of shorter trips. Small, intimate place and the staff are absolutely amazing. They kept my 1yr old boy so entertained with the reptiles which was such a massive help and made the trip worth it.

Absolutely the best experience with animals in this mini zoo. Very small zoo but jam packed with interaction with the likes of Small and huge snakes Bats Turantula’s Monkeys Scorpions Iguanas Peacocks Lizards Geckos OMG it was amazing, you walk through the rice fields and once you come out, you can eat good food in amongst the ride fields. A MUST DO 1000% 👍👍👍👍

I'd read up on this place before I took my kids as I didn't want to exploit animal cruelty anywhere. The animal shelters were all clean, and animals that we saw looked healthy. But I cannot say for certain that the animals aren't drugged or mistreated. There was one at the end that was way too calm and still for the description that people say they usually behave (the little animals they make the coffee from) The owls were out in the bright sunshine in the middle of the day and didn't seem to have anywhere they could go to sleep. The pig at the front of the zoo, can't get into the actual zoo area, so I'm not sure where he goes when it gets hot 🤷‍♀️ The keepers we spoke to, did seem very knowledgeable and were very gentle with the reptiles they handled. The monkeys seemed to be excited to see them and definitely not scared of them. All in all, the place was really nice, the animals looked healthy. I wouldn't go again, but it was a great experience to be able to get up close to animals you'd wouldn't normally be able to.

What a great hidden gem this place is, my 11yr old and I spent a wonderful hour+ looking at the animals and interacting with them. It's short and sweet, not a lot of crowds, lovely staff and a beautiful Cafe at the end (which you get a free drink for with your entry ticket)

This zoo was very cool, offering up a range of one on one experiences with reptiles and a beautiful tarantula. Staff are welcoming we got a free souvenir bottle opener and the ticket included a 200k voucher for a drink. Small zoo but well worth the visit especially for us kiwis who never get to see these exotic animals up close

This is hands down the best zoo I've ever been to. Well worth the price and more! All the animals are well looked after and obviously very loved, they look healthy and happy too! The interaction with the animals is unlike any I've experienced anywhere else and it's obvious that it doesn't stress the animals out at all, they seem very comfortable with being handled! For your entry price you also get given a free keychain souvenir and 20% off the cafe, all the keepers are so friendly and chatty, they are happy to joke around and help encourage people to handle all the animals even if they're a little scared to. Overall it was an amazing place and I hope to visit again one day! I cannot recommend it more!

This really is a little hidden gem in Bali. I am not usually a fan of zoo's but the animals are clearly very happy and are let out of their enclosures daily to roam. It provides a bit of a suprise when you walk around a corner to see a large monitor lizard basking in the sun! We had the opportunity to speak to the owner at length and his motivations for the zoo are clearly good. Most notably they have been successfully breeding a local bird which is nearly extinct (approximately 100 in the wild) and are training them to adapt to the new environment.

Very cute! And because of the possible interactions with the animals, a fair price (150k). At the beginning you can look for yourself and afterwards you can hold all different kinds of animals. We were not that happy about the small cages they were in at the beginning…the animals you could hold did have more space. There were some rescues as well.

I wish I could give this place 10 stars! Animals are beautifully kept and look very healthy and well cared for, the people are lovely and can’t do enough for you. I loved being able to interact with some of the animals. The day before I visited Bali zoo, but I had much more fun here! They are making a restaurant at the moment overlooking the paddy fields which will be stunning. I recommend everyone to visit

What a lovely experience! We were greeted by a relaxed piggy at the entrance. Shady path beautifully located amongst rice paddies and chilly fields. Very friendly staff explaining the different animals. We were able ro feed and hold the animals. Robert, the fruit bat was so nice. Highly recommended visit. A must.

Took my wife and son. It was my son's first time at a zoo. And this was a perfect first experience for him. The staff was great. They showed many different animals to my son. The birds and animals were great. The zoo was clean. Even though it was a short walk through, we were able to make the most of it. They also have a wonderful cafe with a beautiful view.

What a wonderful place. We had a blast and so super interesting to get this close with all these animals for our small daughter. We were lucky to get to know the owner who decided to make his private collection a public mini zoo. Great guy. Employees are amazing, very thoughtful and caring with the animals. They completely respected what we wanted to touch and what not and explained very well, answered all our questions. We'll be back for sure. Oh, yeah, they just opened a restaurant at the end of the zoo. It's not that know yet but you can get nice meals and drinks there with a fantastic view over the rice paddies. If you are too hungry before seeing the animals you can also go there first and then do the zoo.

Very good place to visit during your holiday in Bali. I was here with my two kids and they love it very much. They were so happy with all the animals. At first my younger boy was very afraid with the lizard yet he is very courious, but the guy in mini zoo was very patience to introduce him with lizard and lastly lizard become his favourite. One of a must place to visit.

For 15 bucks this is a great afternoon out. All holding the creatures and feeding them is included in the price, and there is a delicious coffee shop on the exit to calm the nerves after holding spider's and scorpions 😂

This is a trully amazing place. the first time zoo provide such a loving momment with animals. Never been to any other zoo that we can interact with animals soo closely. The mini zoo guy were very friendly and animals are being cared very well. There were chained monkey that i hated before, but the guy told me the reason that this monkey cannot be free as it making other animals in the mini zoo stressed, and also he cannot be free as wild monkey will kill it and the guy has forced himself to chained it just to still be able to care for the monkey. I really love this place. I can see most of the animals are doing very well.

Our family had a wonderful time at this zoo. The animals are well taken care of and it was great to see efforts to preserve the Bali Myna from extinction. Interacting with the exotic creatures is a highlight with so many to admire. The staff were friendly, the premises are clean, and loved that it truly is a hidden zoo. We missed it the first time we went by scooter!

All fake reviews? This is the saddest and most horrible place on earth... don’t support this! I dont want to support zoos normally but thought it would be interesting to touch most of the animals and the reviews of this place were good.... But... wow! This place is a tiny garden of 20m2 and pure animal hell... the tiniest cages you can imagine with locked up animals... I could feel the pain and suffering of the animals... 3 monkeys locked up in a tiny cage and trying to break out, it’s just crazy how this can exist

It was a 45min trip each way from Legian but it was worth it. Young fella had a great time. The staff are awesome and the animals seem well looked after and you are sorting conservation efforts. Being able to get up close and hold a range of animals was great for my almost 3year old son. The location on Grab is wrong but Google is correct. Just follow your nose through the rice paddies to get there.

(Translated by Google) The animals are slowly dying from the heat in the cages without water. Poor monkeys are sitting on the chain. We just saw this picture near the entrance to this "zoo" and decided not to go further. This is shocking. Animals practically die from the heat, locked in cages with empty bowls, without water and shade. The monkeys at the entrance sit on chains and scream. We saw this picture at the entrance and turned around. Shocks the cruelty with which the poor animals are treated. (Original) The animals are slowly dying from heat locked in the cages without water.

Trully a gem!! We prefer this rather than bali zoo as this one is more secluded. U dont need to walk far in the sun to see the animal. Its true they have small animal only but it used to be a collection so lots of them are very unique (albino snake/monkey, crossed eye monkey, albino gecko, etc). We can interact with the animal, and at the end theres Lilac restaurant that serve really good fish and chip and fried rice. Entrance price was IDR 200k per person (2023) and its worthed as u can see and interact with animal.

Had a good time at the hidden mini zoo. Seeing a lot of reviews about animals in chains but I personally didn't see any... actually a bunch of the animals roam freely around the park, especially the security pig at the entry! conditions could be a little better for some of the animals I guess but overall the staff where friendly & accommodating especially with the kids & we had a good time. FYI. Long drive from Kuta especially in morning traffic.

(Translated by Google) Yes, indeed, the zoo is cool, the owners (or rather, the residents of this house) are daringly friendly, many are given to hold, many children are shouting, then from fright, then from delight ... but there are some But ... Taxi drivers do not know this place , on this tell them what it is and where it is very difficult ... all the time trying to take away to Bali-zoo. In the future it's better not to let the taxi driver go, because it's not so easy to find a new one. Look at the private collection is not 25 000, as someone wrote in the reviews, but 100 000 for one person (regardless of gender and age). I did not expect such a price, so I had to bargain and, as a result, paid 100,000 for adults, the child went a bonus. There are not many animals ... but the emotions of a child are more expensive! She really wanted to see the bat she saw in the reviews. So it's not like hungry, not dying animals. Pity was caused only by a monkey. Well, she still clearly needs a mom at that age ... And so everything is not bad ... snakes, spiders, lizards ... Photo was made only on the camera, I attach more to confirm the fact that we were there (Original)

DO NOT GO THERE IF YOU REALLY LIKE ANIMALS !!! This is the most horrible activity I have done in my life !! Birds have the bec cuted and link to a tree. 2 babies monkeys in a ridiculous cage they still need their mother. Bat axake during the day alone. 2 owls awake during the day oink to a tree. Cant fly or move. Snake with a lot of ticks and small small cages. Lowak .... lowak in a cage for little mouse... trying to move but they can not. Squirrels same thing .... Lizard same thing The owner seems to like his animals but they are just in horrible conditions they are not from Indonesia so this is illegal traffic animals, i think. PLEASE DO NOT GO THERE !!!

Went for my 11 year old's birthday, she was absolutely stocked to be able to hold an albino python, over and over again 😄 Can't recommend enough, staff are so friendly and patient, animals are loved, you can tell they care. Would absolutely be back 👍🏼👍🏼

Not much street parking available, our driver was skilled to park where he did with assistance from their security. A short walk down towards the zoo which was nice. 200k per adult entry and a voucher for Cafe was given along with a free Souvenir (bottle opener). Upon entering I did panic as a large monitor walked towards us at pace, I was wondering if it had escaped but it only wanted to lay in the middle of the footpath 😅 The exhibits could benefit from being larger and having larger pools available for the animals to bathe/drink from. I do wonder if the animals are offered any forms of enrichment. We were given what appeared to be cat food to feed both the peacocks and monkeys 😳 not sure how biologically appropriate that is. Staff were very friendly and made sure to offer interactions with all the animals available however they would often give you an animal and walk off to assist others 😅 so you'd have to find them to return the animal or put it back into the enclosures/containers they had. It was a relatively short experience, perhaps about an hour? But that was perfect for us as we had lots of interactions and then left to continue our day trip. At the end there is a Cafe which we didn't go to but staff reminded us of the vouchers we were given at the start and gave us two soft drinks in exchange for the vouchers. They also had the cutest toilet I've ever seen, pebbles and planted with Anthurium 😂 It was nice to know our driver had an area to sit and have a coffee/smoke while we did our thing.

Great mini zoo to visit! They have birds, reptiles, bit of fishies, and monkeys. We spoke to some of the people who works there and explained some of the animals were rescue and some were purchased to be rescued. They also breed and release animals in the wild. Amazing experience and staff were really nice and engaging. Place is clean and some animals were roaming around free.

It was bang for your buck, the term mini zoo is not wrong so do not expect a big zoo however they make up for it in the experience. The zoo created a personalised and intimate experience with the animals. The kids and adults loved it, great fun and friendly staff.

Price is a bit steep for a very small zoo. I guess you're probably paying more for the experience of touching and interacting with some animals at the end of the zoo, you can even touch a scorpio and tarantula.. Good if you've never been here before. But I don't think the price is inviting people to come back and visit more than once.

(Translated by Google) One of the best zoos and rescue services for animals in Asia. The park itself is small, but all the animals are assisted. Many walk freely, others are kept in cages so that they do not attack those animals that walk in the park. All you can hold on your hands. Only then did I see the local people who were healthy, they are fed not only coffee, but also fruits and meat (as in the wild) because of what they are active and very beautiful. If you love animals - come and ask about its inhabitants zoo attendants. If you just want to look at many different animals, then this is not the best option.

(Translated by Google) Very cool place. Very kind staff. It's not even a zoo, but an animal rescue center. They save them, treat them, and then release them. Many animals just sit without leashes and cages and can escape or fly away, but do not. The owners said they would be happy if the animals leave. And so all the animals there have happy eyes. In the zoo, you can touch even harmful and dangerous animals, such as the Mexican red-footed tarantula, boa constrictor, kusachiy luvak, flying fox, Mexican and Indonesian lizard, owls, parrots. Animals are so confident in the love of people that they are safe in their hands. Earlier I visited many contact zoos in Japan and Thailand. And here there is an exclusive. Only here you can hold in your hands such species as flying foxes, luvaks and Mexican tarantulas.

Beautiful place where you can interact with lots of amazing animals. Small but clean and very friendly workers there. Stays true to its name, "hidden" - we struggled to find the place at first but once we got their it was amazing! 5/5 would recommend to everyone

Was not expecting much about this zoo. When our tour guide told us about this place we just agreed and went to this place. But my thoughts are wrong and everything is amazing. We can interact with many animals and the staff is very friendly. They will open their restaurant soon and it’s a really nice place to chill after the tour inside. Definitely will recommend this place. 👍

Great little zoo surrounded by picturesque rice paddies. Perfect for kids and people who want to have some close up experiences with birds, reptiles, snakes, and more! The staff are very friendly and accommodating. No extra charges for anything once you pay the entry fee. Lots of fun and you'll get some amazing photos.

This mini zoo is an absolute MUST see!!! Amazing animals that you can get up close & personal with, being cared for by exceptional people!!! And it will only cost you a donation to help toward feeding the animals, heaps better value than some of the touristy animal places ‘on the map’!!! Do yourself (& your kids) a favour, & put this mini zoo on your itinerary for your next visit to Bali, I promise you won’t be disappointed!!! We will be back for sure!!!

I had a beautiful experience of interacting with the snakes, bats, and other animals here. They do have some monkeys here, which may bother some people, but the animals were obviously loved and taken care of. I will be back again.

Me and especially my wife had so much fun with their mini zoo. The caretaker was very nice and friendly. Our experience was very amazing. It is unlike any other zoo. The animals there were mostly bred and rescued. We paid for 100k IDR each person and it was more than worth it as we know that it'll go to the animals' food and maintenance. We recommend it to everyone who is visiting Bali.

We had the most wonderful experience at this Mini Zoo! There was a very knowledgable guide and you can get up close to all of the animals. Which you wouldn’t be able to do at most zoos! They have friendly monkeys that freely run around and love cuddles. The have many types of snakes and we were able to hold the non venomous ones! Puppies, lizards, Birds, a massive Bat and many more incredible animals from all different parts of the world! The animals are treated very well which is why they love being there! It was a very special day and we learnt a lot about these animals! A must see! 🙌🏽
