Very interesting and unique architecture. The museum at the the time I visited had a mixture of modern art and art from Africa, Asia, and native Brazil. Its worth a look around the place even if modern art is not your style like me.

Free on Wednesday even for tourists. Lots of buses that goes there. The 50 reals for 12hrs to see 26 touristic locations is ok but you will lose 3 hrs here as it is amazing. The botanical gardin is also amazing (3hrs). I suggest walk/uber/omnibus for these top places. I like the African room and Chinese! Great art works. Free washrooms and water. Normal price is 30 reals.

Clean, organized, well air-conditioned. Stunning view! Could be better: the „Free WiFi“ needs a registration which is only in Portuguese to get the English texts inside of the museum.

This museam has an exhibition of the famous Brazilian twins world renowned for thei graffiti work. The exhibition is well set out and detailed. I love art so I loved this place. More over the architecture of the museam is wonderful. It is truly fascinating from an architectural and engineering perspective.

Amazing museum with an unforgettable building design. There are various exhibitions inside, which include contemporary art and an impressive Asian and African collection of works. My favorite exhibition this time was “BANCOS INDÍGENAS DO BRASIL”, which displayed more than 200 banks from 40 ethnic groups in the Amazon. Understanding the worldview of indigenous people was an inspiring experience. It could be quite cold in the museum, though, remember to bring a jacket.

This famous museum is on every city tour. The architecture of the museum building is impressive, especially the adjacent building known as The Eye, which is quite stunning. There are wide open picnic spaces and grounds for walking and hanging out with friends. There are admission fees to enter the buildings to see the exhibits.

If you're visiting Curitiba, you have to come to this museum. Mostly modern art is present here, but they occasionally have special exhibits of antiquities. Many parts of the museum have descriptions in both English and Portuguese, so no worries if your Portuguese isn't strong. 20 reais to enter for general admission and they have discounted rates for children and students, plus expedited service for geriatrics and people with disabilities.

(Translated by Google) I went with 3 small children, I only met 1/3 of MON. Spectacular works and all health care are being seriously followed. I went on a Friday, so it was a very peaceful ride. I believe it would have been more tiring if it were on the weekend because I had to wait to enter each room, so as not to generate crowds. I loved the afternoon (Original) Fui com 3 crianças pequenas, conheci apenas 1/3 do MON. Amei a tarde

(Translated by Google) MON, just looking, enchants the eyes and restlessly, planting the curiosity of what is inside. Exhibitions very different from each other, including works from the Lava Jato operation. The Museum is following the protocols for Covid. Entrance control, cleaning. It was my second visit to the Museum, after 7 years, and I will be back as soon as I get the chance. Admission R $ 20.00 (half admission for the elderly, blood donors ...) I’m not a fan of art really. I visited this place with my architect friend and he found some stuff interesting. I liked the part that talk s about Africa. I took a picture of the man with curved back to show it to my physiotherapist cuz he always tell me my back is curved. I gave 4 stars because the parking system didn’t work I do like the idea of collecting what is considered art in one place

(Translated by Google) The museum has good exhibitions, and there are some cool events, there is a cafe / restaurant, there are some bars and restaurants around, but what I like most is the outdoor area, the wide green area at the back of the museum that borders the Bosque do Papa always gathers a crowd, you can spend the afternoon sitting on the grass, have a picnic, take your pets for a walk, these things ... There is paid parking, you can park on the street too, but it is busy and needs to be on weekdays.

(Translated by Google) I've been going since the inauguration. Interesting exhibitions take place there. The museum's design, designed by Oscar Niemeyer, combines straight and curved lines, concrete and green areas, neutral and colorful. In the 1940s, Niemeyer formed the Architectural Complex of Pampulha, in Belo Horizonte, Minas Gerais, under the order of Mayor Juscelino Kubitschek, built between 1942 and 1944: the Cassino da Pampulha, the Casa do Baile and the Church of São Francisco de Assis or Pampulha Church. In the 1950s, buildings were constructed that would definitely include Niemeyer in the history of national architecture and design it internationally: the first buildings in Brasília, such as the National Congress, the Palácio da Alvorada, Praça dos Três Poderes and the Cathedral. His brand traveled the world and, in 1965, in France, he designed the Headquarters of the French Communist Party. In 1968, other expressive works were added, such as Editora Mondadori, in Milan, Italy, and the Algiers Mosque, in Algeria. In Brazil, in 1980, Oscar Niemeyer paid tribute to his friend from the times of Brasília's construction, Juscelino Kubitschek, with the construction of the JK Memorial. Nine years later it was the turn of the Memorial da América Latina, a landmark in São Paulo that celebrates Latin American ties. In 1994, he also became the architect of spaces dedicated to art, such as the Museum of Contemporary Art in Niterói (RJ), and again of democratic spaces, such as the headquarters of the Brazilian Bar Association (OAB), in Brasília, in 1998. In 2002, an annex was built in Curitiba, popularly named Olho, along with another construction by the architect, giving rise to the Oscar Niemeyer Museum. Oscar Niemeyer was born in Rio de Janeiro, on December 15, 1907 and died on December 5, 2012, at the age of 104. It is considered one of the biggest names in modern international architecture. #ForaFascismoBolsonariano #ForaBolsonaro

The exhibition items are extremely beautifully set in scene. The exhibition is generally very well curated and diverse exhibitions, both modern and traditional, are on display. During my visit quite some rooms and the eye were closed foe the setting up of new exhibitions (08.04.22). Entrance costs 30. Drinks and bottles are not allowed inside, but there are free lockers available. Good coffee in the museum café.

  • 4/5 HERM P. 2 years ago on Google
A great indoor space for a miles-long stroll on a bad weather day. Exhibitions (that try hard to be interesting) take place mostly in the undescriptive, adjacent "square" annex, so what is actually worth seeing is 85% outside. Store offers an array of objects using the museum logo (=outline). Still by far tourist attraction #1 in town.

Good stopping point if you’re visiting the city. The museum gallery had some cool contemporary art works mixed with some antique items. It also has a dedicated area for Oscar Niemeyer.

It must with place while in Curitiba. The newly finished building is absolutely stunning, and totally in line with all other various Oscar Niemeyer creations. The curves and shapes of this building are gorgeous and the ‘yet tower’ are as impressive from the inside as it is from the outside. Recommended!
