My God daughter and I went here yesterday to find some baby items. This store had everything for kids of all ages and sizes. There was clothes, shoes, toys, books and gently used bedding, strollers and other baby items. The prices were very reasonable and they also had name brand items. Coming here, you'll have to take your time to go through the racks of clothing as it's a lot to choose from. There's ample parking as this lot shares parking with other businesses.

I do about 99% of my children's clothes shopping here. They have fantastic deals and I always find cute clothing because I don't mind digging a little to find my style preferences. They do carry brand name items like Baby GAP, Ralph Lauren, OshKosh, etc., just not everything in the store is a brand name--like some other more expensive kid's stores. Everything I purchased was under $7, with most items costing $1.50 to $4.50. The staff is friendly and they will usually buy some older items back from me as long as they are not overstocked and the items show no signs of stains or wear. They also have many items marked to 50% off, and they offer buy 10 items get one free. Plus they also have a loyalty rewards program for additional 20% off your next purchase when you buy 20 items. If you don't like digging to find what you like, and if you prefer only brand names and don't mind paying a premium price for second-hand clothes than you'd probably prefer somewhere like Kangaroo Kids. For true bargain hunters who also want style, this is your place.

I have read some pretty harsh reviews of this place that I’m not sure are quite fair. I have shopped here quite a bit over the years of several grandchildren, and I hope to lend a more specific and balanced review. Basically, this is a fine place to buy kids’ clothing and accessories. The items are in good shape and reasonably priced for the most part. Some big name labels are overpriced though for used clothing, but they may get discounted more after a while on the rack. If you have a problem with anything, you have seven days to return it - this has only happened to me twice over the years, and there was no problem at all returning. The problem I do have with this place is trying to sell items to them. They don’t take most clothing, and only give you pennies for what they do take. Not much better for non-clothing items. You’re better going to a different location for that. I’ve never encountered a rude employee. Please be considerate. It can get really busy on the weekend, and by mid-afternoon it’s understandable if employees are tired. But even with a steady checkout line, employees have always been friendly and helpful to me, even getting items off a high shelf. If this place could change their purchasing practice so they are more in step with other locations, I would rate them 4.5, docking a half point only because the aisles are so narrow you can only get one small cart through them. Overall, I never try to sell anything here anymore, but I do enjoy shopping here. The items are clean and in good shape. I’ve gotten many terrific deals. And I try to shop on weekdays if I can.

Once upon a child has been my go to since I have 4 kids but this locations just really upsets me. For the past month I have gone by to bring clothes 3 times and they are always only accepting 1 bag, a waste of my time if I’m bringing in 5 bags. I tried them out again today and only brought one bag and they aren’t even accepting clothes lol it’s comical at this point since they have the worst variety of clothes compared to Ballwin and Bridgeton. With the store being a few minutes from my house I was excited to be so close but I will continue to use my gas and drive out to any other store but this one.

Had a great expierence here, was able to drop some items off in the morning, go about my day and then received a text that my offer was ready. My wife was going to be in the area, so I called to make sure she could pick up my offer and the girl that answered the phone was cheerful and polite about that being ok. Will definitely be back after the next round of growing for the kids : )

I have been to this location about 3 times in the past 2 years. Staff is very RUDE! No one speaks when you walk in or out. Store is messy and cramped. Prices are outrageous compared to the other stores. I will never be back again.

Love to stop in at least once a week at Once Upon A Child to shop for my Grandchildren. They have remarkable used items at reasonable prices. Check them out!
